TN TN - Shelley Mook, 24, Shelbyville, 28 Feb 2011

A good majority of the time when women or men are in a relationship, they have no clue of the underlying "demons" within their partners as they keep this hidden during the "honeymoon" year(s) of the relationship/marriage.

It's so heartbreaking. And, this is a hard thing to say, but the landscape of Tennessee is so lush and everything is growing back now for spring. It is a good possibility that she will never be found. I pray that she will...:(

You are so right. And as long as the woman stays in the relationship the charade continues; however, once she wants to end the relationship their true character comes out. "If you're not going to be with me, you won't be with anyone". MOO

Nothing new on Shelly yet. The links below are about the efforts of her students and staff at school. Clearly Shelly was loved by all.

The ex trying to keep Shelly's daughter from her Grandma speaks volumes to me. Just as many of you have said, this is classic DV behavior on his part-he is in control. I wonder if some of that is also due to the fact he doesn't want anyone to talk to her. No questions about the day Mommy dropped her off.

It's heartbreaking to hear her mother talking about not being able to see Shelly's child. Though I understand the legality behind it, it still makes me very scared that her daughter is in the care of the person who last saw Shelly and is known to have abused her in the past. Someone who is volatile enough to possibly kill Shelly is a ticking time bomb and should not be left alone with a child.

i saw her mom on nancy grace and normally im not very emotional. perhaps I ate too much, but I almost lost it when I heard the mom speak. She looked so sad, so lost, and hearbroken. It really got to me.

On NG now...

There is zero hope this poor woman is alive...sorry to say. She would not burn her car and vanish...how sickening, what is wrong with people??? And how do so many good decent people end up with people capable of such horror?

bolded by me.

cluciano63, hope you didn't think I was plagiarizing your post! I hadn't read it when I posted my similar comment. (see post #37) Guess it just proves we are thinking alike.

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is analyzing several items found in the burned-out car of a missing Shelbyville teacher.

I just pray they are able to find something that will lead to where Shelley is. Maybe the perp drove her car to some field, or there will be something in or on the vehicle that can yield some type of clues, even as badly burned as the vehicle is. :( MOO

Update:

Police in Shelbyville said they have an eyewitness who saw missing English teacher Shelley Mook enter her ex-husband's home, the day she disappeared.

http://www.wsmv.com/news/27168295/detail.html

Article also says her ex and his family are not cooperating with LE. He has not been named as a suspect by LE yet. Just have to hope things move quickly so this doesn't become some agonizingly long, drawn out investigation like we see all too often.

Now the question is, did anyone see her leave? :( MOO

Bumpin' for Shelley... <3

No new news...

Authorities also said although they haven't named Mook's ex-husband, Tyler Mook, as a suspect, he isn't cooperating, and neither is his family.
According to the Shelbyville Times Gazette, police records show a history of domestic violence between the two. Charges were filed after, authorities said, he tried to run Shelley Mook's car off a road, and deputies said they had been called to the couple's home at least once.

:banghead: HE isn't cooperating and neither is HIS FAMILY. Gee whiz, with family like that... I cannot understand people, why would you protect this, this, person? I don't care if his is your relative. I just don't get people. I realize this is about their relative but it is ALSO ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE'S. Shelley is GONE and she is someone's relative. What about protecting HER?!

I have lost faith in humanity, what with all these inhumane stories of spouse-abuse/murder; child abuse/murder, etc. And to protect the abuser is beyond me.

I realize it happens every minute of every day but I just want scream at them to wake up and smell the B.S. :banghead:

SHELLEY where are YOU?

I just hope that the father's family doesn't get to raise the little girl if he turns out to be the one who killed Shelley. It seems so unfair to the victim's family. Obviously if it's best for her but it just seems unfair.

One new article out about people searching for Shelley:

http://www.t-g.com/story/1711210.html

From the article:

"We've just been searching and looking," Boyce said. "We've looked a place or two over in Rutherford County this week and found just a little bit that may help us, nothing concrete.
