Kinda makes the ole Penthouse hidden under the mattress or in the bureau pale by comparison, eh?
Lord , when will this end?? I sorta see why LE has been rather tight lipped about this whole debacle.

They did say that they thought evidence found on the digital media who be fruitful...early on in the investigation. (Paraphrasing).

Knowing what we know now about this case...............
it does NOT look good for either BD or SA, JMOO
I'm waiting for the axe to fall.

Guys - why don't you take this convo to chat: [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68121"]Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

It would be a good place to let off a little steam so we can all get back to a rational way of thinking in this horrific case.

I just asked Our Sheriffs Department IT Forensic Computer Examiner, about this and HHO (His Humble Opinion)

TO save them to a flash drive, memory stick or folders on your computer is an additional crime to just viewing them.

And most all computers dated after 2000, will time-stamp and put user ID to all downloaded and saved pictures or files.

Even if you delete or try to erase them. You have to smash the hard drive in order for them not to be retrieved.

Bumping up this informative post from this morning.

This was posted last night and many may have missed the comment about possible criminal charges for the stick found in BD's house. LE still needs to get with the DA regarding criminal charges on images found on SA's mom's computer since that is the only hard drive I think LE has possession of.

(snip)
A memory stick confiscated from a dresser in the master bedroom of the Dunn residence in Colorado City was found to contain "320 images and videos of a pornographic nature."
Both the computer and the memory stick contain images depicting bestiality and child *advertiser censored*, said Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs.
Criminal charges could be filed regarding the memory stick found at the Dunn residence, Toombs said.
"We will have to get with the district attorney in Howard County to see if criminal charges are warranted," Toombs said about the images reportedly found on the computer hard drive.

Well it looks like reporternews has been proactive in getting info through the FOIA. I hope they keep at it and the other stations pick up. Although I wish they all would post all the documents they receive online. So far all I have seen is the search warrant inventory list.

Didn't they?

They first article I read said they did, the second didn't refer to it....so I thought the first article was mistaken; hence my correction. Sorry for the confusion...but I was confused too. This case is going to drive me nuts!

Does anyone know how long an agency has to respond to a FOIA request?

I want to know if this information was selectively released to the reporters on purpose right before BD was to go speak at the child traffic rally or if it was just coincidental timing in responding to the FOIA.

There was just a big expose on this in my state. There were several caught with the child *advertiser censored* and for selling child *advertiser censored*. From what they said on this program, it is like a society where you have to join and then once trusted the pics get sold to you. So I agree it isn' t like clicking on *advertiser censored*. You have to go through groups who hold this stuff.

Thanks, I was wondering how you could find this stuff, but wasn't about to dare even going there on my computer. No way - no how!

I, too, wonder if they were in some sort of ring. 10,000 images is a ton to download from sites. I wonder if these images were sent to BD/SA? That should be something LE could find out.

Thanks!

Mel

When I filed for something under FOIA they told me they had 7 days to respond. They could have been requesting it and had gotten denied but kept trying IMO

Yep. BIG slipup. Normal people are not okay with deviant images - bestiality and child *advertiser censored*. Most people would be shocked that question was asked and start asking where did that come from? Who told you that? There would be heavy, heavy denial on the pictures existing, not who they belonged to. Except BD did not react that way AT ALL.

Big mistake, Billie. Really big mistake on your part!

I am betting she had heard what we all heard, just minutes after we did. I mean, she has FRIENDS with internet access, and I am going to guess that SOMEONE called or went over and told her "hey... there's a story online today that says..." LONG before the reporter asked her. It would have been disingenuous to have batted her eyelashes and said "Whatever do you mean, deviant images? in My panty drawer? Why, I never..."

Wow!! But, they chose to release the results of the electronic equipment. That could stir up speculation I think. Maybe they didn't find anything or maybe they found a lot and are still investigating it.

There are so many players in the perimeter of this case, they are probably still checking phone records. imo They will be the dotted i's and crossed t's to it all. jmo

I'd sure like to know how many persons of interest they have these days.
