The fact that LKB did not blurt it out this morning means it is something that happened suddenly and she didn't know about it is my guess.

All just my guesses of what it could be and it will be investigated over the weekend.

Okay, just putting this out there, not to cause a ruckus but some people have used the fact that CA was a nurse as a reason for why she should have known certain things. While I have a great deal of respect for the nursing/medical professional, I have run across a few nurses who were questionable. Clueless to the point that I questioned their training.

Recently had a nurse in the ER who did not know how to operate a manual blood pressure cuff. The electronic one they had on the wall had malfunctioned and she had to go get a superior to take my husbands blood pressure with the cuff.

Just sayin' that assuming CA was a nurse of the highest caliber, best training, might be stretching things a bit.

No disrespect intended, my grandma was a neo-natal pediatric nurse for a large part of her life. I was under the impression that CA was a nurse who processed paperwork for an agency, home health claims and stuff like that. Am I wrong about that?

ETA: Not only that but when I call the Ask A Nurse hotline that my insurance co recommends they always tell me to "call my doctor". LOL

The ones on the wall, at least in my area, are not electronic or digital. They are mounted on the wall but they are still a manually operated machine, they have to be "read" with a stethoscope. Never saw a digital one mounted on a wall, our hospitals use the wall mounted ones, since they are more accurate. Maybe this nurse you mentioned noticed something unusual about your husband's BP and wanted a second opinion. This happened to me a couple years ago in the doctor's office, the first nurse got two more nurses to take my BP, and the doctor even checked it himself, as it was unusually high for some reason. I could not imagine any nurse not knowing how to operate a manual cuff, since they learn that very early on in their training. A 10-y.o. can be taught how to take a BP, it's not rocket science.

As to Cindy being a nurse of the highest caliber... who knows? She obviously has worked in patient care at some point in time. Even if you don't work directly with patients, you still know the basics of nursing for the rest of your life. My sister was a certified surgical technician for 20 years, and although she has not worked for more than 25 years now, she still knows a lot of medical and surgical procedures. Some things you just never forget.

After watching the "lack of" proceeding this morning and catching up on these 53 pages plus most of the trial thread I have come to the following conclusion.

I don't know what the heck is going on and I refuse to get worked up over it like I did when TES was out searching for Caylee.

All I know is whatever it is, I sincerely hope that Caylee has her hands in it.

I did the same thing yesterday when everyone was saying Caylee looked too tall. 36-39" is average height for a three yr old toddler. I do agree with others that the tennis shoes look wrong. I don't think I've ever seen any photos of Caylee in shoes like that.
I've been trying to find the shoes that LE took from the house during one of their searches...but there's been so much info released it may be a loooong time before I find the pics.

The chronology of this event was:
Dr R testifies in am
Dr R needs to come back for additional testimony
SA agrees to just depose him Sat afternoon instead of recalling for testimony
Saturday HHJP, JB, JA etc are in depo
They take a break, JA's phone rings
It is Dr Rs boss (Captain I think) from DoD who saw Dr R testifying on the news from home
Dr Rs boss says this is against DoD policy (which it is, and Dr R shld have known as he would have signed documentation on policies and infractions) and if Dr R continues he will be fired
JA pulls JB/HHJP aside to immediately tell them of this call
HHJP says he can hold Dr R if DT requires his testimony as material witness
JB says he doesn't want the man to loose his job, and besides they have another witness who can testify to the same info
All agree to let Dr R go

DT now comes up with this BS about the SA trying to pull some inside job with the DoD - but HHJP was actually there for the discourse, so JB shot himself in the foot all over again - which has made HHJP pizzed again.

But in order to ensure fairness, HHJP says bring me the documentation, let's confirm what the Captain said via testimony, and I'll make a ruling then.

I think JB really overstepped this time and has gotten his tooshie in a sling.

And this policy is to ensure no DOD secrets about procedures or policy are shared. Something tells me this employee is already in trouble regardless of his testimony. Not only that he said he co-founded The Body Farm which he did not. The defense is trying to twist this I think.

The only way JB can prove his OS is by one of two things:

1) ICA testifies -- not smart due to her lies

2) Have someone else testify to the molestation i.e., LA/GA saying they did it OR LA/GA testify they walked in on the other in the act....which would eliminate ICA taking the stand & save her from LDB!

What if JB thought he had it made when CA decided to take the blame for the computer searches & ladder? Then, CA made LA jump on board in an effort to save his sister.....but he can't bring himself to say it....can't lie per mommy's instructions.....so they're back to square one....and #1 above.

IMO, since I watched the 'pointing video' of CA, GA has had a different demeanor about him...yes, they're still close but I sense something! It's almost as if something is bothering him....CA helping DT maybe. I don't think GA is going along with CA and will lie....maybe LA heard this conversation of CA trying to convince GA to admit to it...which prompted LA to say, I'll do it...then couldn't, hence the crying... Your thoughts?

Sorry if I talk in circles, slept late, only 1 cup of coffee. :coffeews:

Sure do wish I could lip read but one thing I pretty certain of is approx. 39:30 on this tape, something is said to KC by the woman with the long hair and KC says "That's exactly what I'm talking about". Right after that, KC gets up and she and that woman go into the room where the atty's are.

All of this has to do with whatever it was that KC was "exactly talking about".. What on earth could it be???????

Actually KC was taken back to the inmate holding area, the attys and HHJP were in Chambers. Not together at that point.

If she had gone into chambers with the rest, a sheriff would have escorted her. She would not have been allowed to go with an atty or alone.

LOL JB just called HLN to tell them that he is dp qualified

Yeah I found that interesting. Would he need to cover his butt if something wasn't going on with him?

I also thought it was interesting, he should be looking at evidence..etc to help his client. Instead he is watching HLN?

Anyone have headphones?

At 9:19 what is the young male attorney saying to JB.

CM is saying entirely different subject, to set the day off, the young male is saying something to JB.

9:19 mark, goes really quickly though.

http://www.wftv.com/video/28355927/index.html

Listening to this whole thing, I am getting the feeling that JB has resigned. I think when JA made a fuss about the "new" evidence. JB has made this mistake over and over again. I think this info would help to prove there was no cholorform in the trunk and the jury hearing this could save her from the DP. JB wants it in and is willing to take the bullet for the mishap so that the judge does not punish KC. So JA is staying to take the deposition of the new info and as punishement, JB is down as lead attorney to avoid further contemp charges and public reprimand. The conversation was ex-parte was the judge and the DT informing KC of the situation.

Court recessed so that CM could prepare for the testimony on Monday of witness JB was suppose to call to the stand. :twocents:

Thanks for clarifying. Still though, it must be something ICA discovered, or am I the only one that thinks that??:waitasec:

If ICA does testify, can the state then call her up as a rebuttal witness or are they limited to discuss only the issues raised by the DT turning their direct?

What is it that is "exactly what I'm talking about"? This is driving me batty. I probably should take a break.

I went back and watched the video of what little bit of proceedings we had this morning and was caught by the following. Video Here: http://www.youtube.com/user/weshtv?feature=chclk#p/l/XZ_qhfMF2oM

JA again has to bring attention to another possible discovery infraction by JB
JB accuses judge and SA of fabricating issues, says enough is enough, the DT is not willing to go into these issues, then begins to backslide into "Well we'll tailor the testimony to only include what was in the depo, take out slides, yada yada yada" HHJP basically says, I'll look at the documentation and decide for myself. Mason then begins mumbling about something requiring a sidebar and JUST AS he begins to speak into the mic, the asst attys on DT hands JB this document he just walked in with. JB seems to be distracted and begins reading in earnest.

All attys walk to sidebar. Watch what happens from the 20:37 mark.
Mason begins to speak to HHJP, JB interrupts him with hand gestures, Mason's reaction is something like 'whoa there sonnie, let me deal with this'.
Mason begins to speak again, but JB starts pulling back, taps Mason on the back, then asks for a brief moment alone with Mason.

Mason concurs, JB & Mason step away. Look at HHJP's facial expressions. SA turns away to try and keep from looking at each other and falling apart (my opinion) JA stands there nodding his head up and down like "yea yea yea yea knew this was gonna happen"
Mason and JB step back up to sidebar, Mason begins speaking again.
He then begins to present something to HHJP, HHJP says "fine, ok" and they all walk away.

The DT all walks directly into the holding area with ICA, whereupon a conversation about some serious subject begins. The courtroom (Kathy B reports) can hear Mason's raised voice at his team. They return, another convo takes place, all gods children go into chambers with HHJP. During this one of the junior attys tells ICA they need to go back into the holding area, ICA tries to put her off so she can read the live transcript of what is going on in chambers, but junior atty will not be put off and ICA is marched back into holding for a convo (putting some documentation together?) with junior atty.

All god's children come back and we are in recess.

Jean C reported this morning that she was told during her CM interview that he and JB would be 'splitting' the examinations. That didn't happen and now she has been told that CM will be much more involved in dealing with the witnesses from here on out.

My comments (sorry so long guys) is this - JB has *advertiser censored***D up discovery to the point that CM's reputation is now taking a hit (in CM's mind if not in reality) and he's not going to sit back any longer and let JB bring him down along with this pointless defense.

I think we have either an attorney in trouble, or we have a witness in trouble - both of which could directly impact a lawyer's reputation/license. I really think JB has done something, or ignored something that was done, to his team's detriment. Man I hope this does not turn into a mistrial.

The other thing I saw and I've read one tweet but cannot find it now, is that JA returned the copies of the slide show to JB, and I guess they have decided not to use it at all. I think it was KB, but am still looking. That would have been the 'flying saucer' document discussed below this post.

Exactly what I'm thinking! And if that IS the case, good for CM.

JMO

This is crunch time and the moment to distroy GA. Everyone since opening statements knew their game plan and now is the moment to do the dirty deed.

I think there may be a fraction of a heart in her and she refused to let Jose move forward with the plan.

JMO

JVM just suggested that what if the defense told JP that GA was going to testify he DID abuse Casey...and the state insisted on deposing and/or charging him with perjury today? I don't think this is the case, but I could see the logic, sort of...
