Case Type: Endangered Missing
DOB: Aug 28, 1979
Sex: Female
Missing Date: Aug 17, 1997
Race: White
Age Now: 32
Height: 5'4" (163 cm)
Missing City: LA MARQUE
Weight: 140 lbs (64 kg)
Missing State : TX
Hair Color: Brown
Missing Country: United States
Eye Color: Blue
Case Number: NCMC836647
Circumstances: Jessica's photo is shown aged to 29 years. She was last seen by friends at a local restaurant on the evening of August 17, 1997. Her vehicle was later found abandoned on the shoulder of I-45 South, near Highland Bayou Park, but Jessica's whereabouts are unknown.

Cain's truck was discovered locked and abandoned near the location her friend last saw her on Interstate 45 southbound at 5:00 a.m. that same day. Her wallet was on the driver's seat of the vehicle but her keys were missing. There was no sign of Cain at the scene and no damage to the truck, but the vehicle's camper appeared to have been tampered with.

Authorities are also searching for the driver of a mid-to-full-size white pickup truck who may have been a witness during the time Cain disappeared on the interstate. Witnesses reported seeing the car pursuing Cain's vehicle at a high rate of speed. The driver's truck is described as having a white toolbox mounted near the cab and a light bar with rotating yellow/orange lights. In addition, another possible witness is also being sought in connection with Cain's disappearance. He is described as an African-American male, approximately 25 to 32 years old with a short Afro-style haircut. The witness was driving a purple Dodge or Plymouth Neon at the time he may have seen Cain. Authorities believe the possible witness may be involved in the music industry.

A private investigator claimed that there was a possible link between Cain's disappearance and Jonathan David Drew. Drew was charged with the murder of Tina Michelle Flood in December 1998. He was employed as an automobile mechanic at the time Cain disappeared. The investigator said that Drew had access to a red Isuzu Amigo in August 1997. The Amigo was in the possession of a used car dealership where Drew occasionally worked. It is not known if Drew was the driver of the vehicle spotted behind Cain's truck on the day she disappeared. Cain's case is also being investigated along with the murders or disappearances of numerous other women from the Galveston County, Texas area since the 1970s. It is not known if any of the cases are connected to one another, but the Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI) and Texas law enforcement have formed Operation HALT (Homicide/Abduction Liason Team) to look into the possibilities. The disappearances of Sondra Ramber in 1983, Michelle Thomas in 1985 and Suzanne Richerson in 1988 are among the cases being investigated by Operation HALT.

Cain is described as a model teenager who had no enemies and would not run away from home. She had recently graduated from O'Connell High School and was due to start her freshman year at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas the week after her disappearance. She planned to major in criminology and drama. Cain's case remains unsolved.

Maria Del Carmen Estrada - Age 21, Hispanic, brunette. One of Anthony Allen Shore's strangulation victims, killed in April 1992. Estrada was last seen when she left her home to walk to work. Her body was found hours later in the drive through lane of a Dairy Queen restaurant. One breast had a mark similar to a bite. A ligature and garrote composed of a small piece of wooden dowel had been twisted so tightly that it was embedded in Maria’s neck.

Shore once reportedly lived in League City, the Galveston city where the infamous "Killing Fields" are located. Where 4 other victims have were discovered between 1983 and 1991.

Shore told police Estrada got into his car after he offered her a ride to work. He said he parked behind a Dairy Queen and kissed her and she got violent when he tried to have sex with her. "I opened her blouse and she resisted," he told a detective in October 2003. "There were voices in my head that I was going to have her, regardless, to possess her in some way." He said he did not set out to kill her, but the situation got out of hand. He said he did not have sex with her, although he tried to.

The state of Texas will execute an admitted serial killer. A jury in Houston has convicted and sentenced Anthony Shore for strangling Maria del Carmen Estrada as well as two teenagers and a 9-year-old girl between 1986 and 1995. All of his victims were strangled and assaulted.

July 6, 1995, 16-year-old Dana Sanchez disappeared while hitchhiking to see her boyfriend. Eight days later, an anonymous caller contacted a local TV station’s TIPS line and reported that a serial killer was on the loose and that there was a body in the field of a commercial property development. The reporter who took the call was convinced that it was made by someone tapping the telephone line. Dana’s body was so badly decomposed when it was found that the medical examiner said that without the garrote of a toothbrush and the yellow nylon rope left around her neck, he would not have been able to determine the cause of death. (Shore later confessed to making the phone calls while he was working for a phone company).

Dana Sanchez, 16, was talking on a payphone at West Cavalcade at Airline. On July 14, her body was found on North View Park. Shore confessed to the murder of Sanchez. As he detailed each murder, he provided “excuses” for why he had to kill each.

Shore was charged with Diana's murder. She had been strangled with a tourniquet when her body was discovered in August, 1984. She was abducted on her way to a convenience store on Main around the 6600 block of Main in the Heights area of Houston.

October 19, 2003

One day in August 1995, Piedra wanted to make agua de sandia - watermelon juice - but realized she didn't have sugar.

"My daughter told me she would run to the store and get it," Piedra recalls. Diana never came back.

Virginia Piedra always hoped police might someday capture the man who raped and killed her 9-year-old daughter in 1964 so she could finally end the years of lingering uncertainty.

"I'd like to talk to (the suspect), to ask him what he was thinking when he killed my daughter - my little girl," Piedra said in Spanish during a sometimes tearful interview in her northeast Houston home Tuesday. "But I know he couldn't answer."

Anthony Allen Shore Confessed to the Murder of Diana Rebollar. "Too young. Not developed. That was an opportunity, a freaky thing that I don't know why I did that. I remember seeing this girl walking alone. North Main somewhere around 21st to 26th. I know there is a parking lot and I pulled in and I talked to her and... I just picked her up, put her in the van. I just threw her in initially and I told her to be quiet and that it was a kidnapping and that she wasn't gonna get hurt, this and that. She fought and fought and I don't recall what type of cord or strand, a piece of wire or something. And the same thing. I knew I was *advertiser censored***d and I don't know why the s**t kept happening. I couldn't stop it."

October 19, 1993 - A girl, 14, was sexually assaulted in her home in the 1900 block of Portsmouth. She had come home from school to find the suspect in the kitchen. After assaulting her, the suspect fled and the girl survived.

He duct-taped her eyes and mouth, tied her hands with wire behind her back, and sexually assaulted her after threatening her with a knife. This victim was unable to identify anyone because her assailant wore a t-shirt over his head; her only descriptors were that he was a white male with no accent. Shore named the address where this offense occurred, and HPD records were pulled up concerning that case. Later DNA analysis of this victim’s sexual assault kit matched Shore’s DNA profile. Shore bragged that he “did this one” to prove to himself that he didn’t have to kill after he raped.

Ashley Fuller Reed, 19 - Endangered Missing from Garland, Texas since January 14, 1990
(I know this isn't in the area of Galveston or Harris counties, but the disappearance and her physical attributes remind me of some of the I-45 victims - also, how they found her car so close to her home with no trace of her)

Ashley's nickname is Ash. Her ears are pierced. She has a small brown-colored mole on her left cheek.

Ashley planned to meet two unknown men for dinner during the evening of January 14, 1990. She was supposed to meet the men, known only as Dave and Robert, at an IHOP in Dallas, Texas. You are so right! I think we should include these women too. It might help in the search for the truth! They are all from Texas and in a close proximity to the killing fields.............One of these women could be one of our Jane Does.

That's what I was thinking, especially if we have a mobile SK running around. I started with a list of missing people that were ruled out as Princess Blue, since she was found so close to League City. Then, going by proximity & description of victim and disappearance, I decided to post specific cases... I think someone here can recognize similarities with our existing information, hopefully.

Classification: Missing

  • [*]Date Of Birth: May 13, 1963
[*]Age at Time of Disappearance: 28 years old
[*]Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 5'5"; 190 lbs.

Kimbrell is missing from her home in Huntsville, Texas since mid-June 1991. Three weeks after the alleged date of her disappearance,

Maria's husband told other family members that she had gone to Honduras for a visit on June 19, 1991.
There is no evidence that she made the trip. All of her personal belongings were in her home at the time of her disappearance. She has not been seen since.

I wonder what her husband has been up to these past 20 years.
And how long after, did he remain in the area.
Perhaps he still does.

Unidentified White/Hispanic Female

•The victim was discovered on September 10, 1990 in Brazoria County, Texas.
•Estimated Date of Death: 1-5 years prior
•Skeletal Remains

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vital Statistics

•Estimated age: 15 - 25 years old
•Approximate Height and Weight: 4'11" - 5'3"; with a slight to medium build.
•Distinguishing Characteristics: Originally thought to be Hispanic, the new analysis indicates the young woman was White, with the probability of some Black traits. According to the forensic analysis, it is likely one parent or one grandparent was Black.
•Skeletal Findings: Two fractured ribs; and a defect on a bone beneath her left knee. The victim possibly had a tumor on her knee.
•Jewelry: One pearl, beaded bracelet. Six rings. One gold band ring with six clear stones; one silver band with a scroll design; two thin silver bands; one silver-colored ring with a turquoise horse or unicorn. One 1975, size 9 1/2, Robert E. Lee, Houston, TX, High School ring. This ring has a blue stone with a silver colored, inexpensive metal band. It is unknown whether or not there were ever engravings on the inner side of the ring's band. The ring was up sized twice, which would have removed evidence of previous engravings. However, it does have an inlaid, "L" which many students chose as an option that year that stands for the school mascot, Robert E. Lee himself.

•Dentals: Available. There were several teeth with untreated carries, and two amalgam fillings. Tooth #10, an upper left, lateral incisor, which is right next to her two front most teeth was surgically removed prior to death and the corresponding space was partially obliterated by mature bone

Can you tell me if you know much about this case.
I am trying to determined if i read about a missing girl whom had a ring on every finger and a unicorn...Or was a reading a description about princess blue somewhere...I know I read that somewhere tonight while searching ONline from the 80s i believe it was.
I just don't recollect where now.

Perhaps I am getting confused in the killing fields.
And i should go to bed now and sleep on it.
Thanks again for the new thread on UID.

Here's a worksheet I've been using to compile data. It's not complete, but I thought it might be helpful, anyway. I'll post an updated version later.

Circumstances: Ms. Langwell has a scar under her chin, and a reddish purple birthmark on her mid to lower back. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. Ms. Langwell wears a Seiko watch with glowing numbers (silver in color), a silver necklace with a "Angel" medallion, silver hoop earrings, and a gold wedding band on her left hand. Her car was found parked and secure with personal items inside. She has made no attempt to contact her 15 year old daughter since the date of her disappearance. According to those who know Kimberly, this is highly unusual.

Langwell called her teenage daughter at about 5:30 in the afternoon of July 9, 1999 in their hometown of Beaumont, TX. Langwell reminded her about dinner plans they had for that evening and said she would return home at 6:30 p.m. after visiting a friend. Langwell's boyfriend began searching for her when she did not arrive at her residence later that night.

He discovered her silver 1994 Nissan Altima abandoned in the parking lot of the Eckerd Pharmacy at a shopping center on Dowlen Road and Phelan Boulevard or Phelan Avenue at approximately 10:30 p.m. A photograph of the vehicle is posted above this case summary. Langwell's purse and car keys were missing, but her cellular phone, cosmetics and other personal items were inside the car. There was no other sign of her at the scene and an extensive search of the area produced no clues as to her whereabouts. Langwell has never been heard from again.

Langwell's family members believe that she departed from the pharmacy with someone she trusted. They say it would be highly uncharacteristic of her not to make contact with her daughter for so long. Her loved ones believe Langwell's ex-boyfriend was responsible for her disappearance; the individual had reportedly threatened her and frightened her so badly that she told her sister where to look for her remains if she were to disappear. Foul play is suspected in Langwell's disappearance. She was employed at the Mobil Oil refinery in Beaumont in 1999.

Here's a worksheet I've been using to compile data. It's not complete, but I thought it might be helpful, anyway. I'll post an updated version later.

Hi Bessie,

Looks great! Very organized.

I was just wondering why you have chosen to omit some victim names... or was it unintentional?

Thanks,

Ikoihil

PS - Can you believe we have 110+ on those, and the estimates given by LE have steadily hovered around 30??
