Thank you PattyG.....all I can say is....this poor young girl never had a chance at all.

RIP Stephany Tatiana

I personally think that is crucial. It was certainly make it possible to report with better information. I don't understand how so many different stories are out there about the whole thing.

NG was reporting last night that he killed her after he came back from getting coffee. Why don't they look at the time stamps on the videos? Drives me nuts. I want to see something new. Websleuths needs a t.v. show, no a whole channel. :) jmo

Hi Mck! Just wanted to point out that on last night's show, NG did not report that Steph was killed after VDS returned from getting coffee (See transcribing from last night on previous thread, or CNN transcript.). The discussion was that we have not yet heard about scratches and/or injuries on VDS. Then, NG mentioned that whomever may have seen him during coffee purchase, also did not see/report scratches or injuries on him. At that point, NG added unless her death occurred after the coffee purchase.

Thanks I thought she said "of course" and not "unless". But, if we knew the time of death I think it would put an end to a lot of speculation and contradictions, don't you? tia

I thought the time of death must be on the death certificate, guess not huh. IMO

Alleged irregularities in the trial will not result in its closure Netherlands

snipped:

According to Vega Vega, the emergence of some irregularities would only mean that the judge may order additional proceedings will refer these irregularities to the prosecutor, who could investigate and determine the responsibilities of what might have happened at the police stage.

The holder of the Superior Court added that there is a habeas corpus by "does not disable or preclude the prosecution of research stage" is in the hands of Judge Carlos Morales.

Peru judge sees 6-month Van der Sloot trial
(AP) June 25

"LIMA, Peru — The chief of the Superior Court for Peru's capital says the murder trial of Joran van der Sloot should take about six months. An independent expert says it actually might take 18."

and

"Judge Cesar Vega told reporters on Friday that Peruvian laws allow up to six months for murder trial. But legal expert Mario Amoretti tells the Associated Press that in practice, cases like Van der Sloots can last 18 months.

Criminal court attorney Jose Balcazar says the defense is likely to try to draw the trial out."

Believe we did have a window of hours (Never an exact TOD)...an estimated number of hours prior to the discovery of her body that it was believed death occurred. They may not even have more than that due to decomposition.

One would think so, but all I saw on the one posted here was the cause of death. It is in Spanish, but I wasn't able to recogonize anything resemebling a TOD.

Typical MO for a trial that is high-profile. Delay, delay, delay..........hope that the public will loose interest.

Attack the law, attack the evidence, attack the witness.............standard MO defense tactic as well.

Guess Joran isn't going anywhere, any time soon. :behindbar

Oops, sorry. I didn't know that you've translated that already, Patty.
Yours is much more accurate.

Forgive me for asking, but is there an actual autopsy report that talks about the broken neck? All I can recall seeing is some toxicology. TIA

From what I've learned before, the time of death cannot be determined if the body is in advanced rotting stage.

http://www.arrakis.es/~jacoello/date.pdf

Above link is the "Standards Employed to Determine Time of Death"

Rigor mortis- the determination by muscular rigidity disappears after between 12 to 36 hours after death.

Livor mortis- the settling of blood to dependent parts of the body, after 12 hours, it's usually completely settled.

Algor mortis- the cooling of the body, since the body was badly decomposed, time of death determination via that also can't be determined.

Food in the Stomach completely disappears after 4 to 6 hours of heavy a meal.

A lot more information on the above link.

NG and reporting used in the same sentence=oxymoron imo

Although that is what most suspected, it's still music to my ears.

So sorry Joran, looks as if you're in it for the long haul.

The 'autopsy' was discussed in some depth on June 7, on the Nancy Grace Show.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1006/07/ng.01.html

Police Report Details Stephany Flores`s Injuries
Aired June 7, 2010 - 20:00:00 ET

This diagram was prepared by CNN to help with their presentation. It is not an official chart nor actual autopsy diagram.

A lot of what was discussed on the program that day, clarifies some of the earlier reporting, and turns out to be accurate, especially after we see the crimescene photos and more recent reporting.
Many assumed from this transcript and other reports that he had taken his white or beige shirt that we had seen him in at the casino, with him to Chile, and that is where it was found with blood on it.
In fact, this report was accurate, it just didn't detail that the shirt found with him in his baggage at Chile was the striped shirt.
There is no 'time of death' discussed in this report.
