RBBM: I wonder when the tox reports will be back on David and Mindy? I figure David's should be back by now.

Apparently the Department of Human Services is recommending that the Inges get custody of both Zane and Zander, citing the couple's "substantial relationship" as a key factor. Mindy and her mother had a rocky relationship, but Gayle Inge's devastation at her daughter's death leads one to believe she would devote herself entirely to loving her grandsons forever. A custody hearing has been set for April 5th.

There are always three sides of every story.

There were allegations of abuse when Z was there last time. MM's grandmother even gave a sworn statement that GI hit Z with a wooden spoon often due to her twisted religious beliefs (treasure of the snow).
MM said she and her brothers were abused as children.
MM took care of her brothers when they moved away from their mother and in with her as minors.
GI allowed her 15 year old daughter (MM) to date a much older man.

I'm not thinking GI's household is where those boys need to be. MM didn't think so either.

GI's own mother (JS) allegedly signed an affidavit in the past alleging that her daughter GI had physically abused the oldest grandson. You would think that a mother (JS) isn't going to falsely make such a claim, and in writing, against her own daughter, if not true.

If you read up on the Treasures of the Snow website, and read through some of GI and MI's blog posts, their beliefs are very bizarre IMO and not at all in line with mainstream christianity............weird chatter about "law" and "veil" and "dimensions" and some rather grandiose stuff. Don't really think it's a fair comparison to compare Cindy Anthony lying to protect her daughter, and the alleged report that MMs grandmother making a written statement as mentioned above. In the latter instance, it would understandably cause a huge rift in the family, for the family matriarch to go against her own daughter to help out her granddaughter/great grandson. I would imagine that she would have thought long and hard about making such a statement knowing the drama and upset that it would cause. Entirely different kind of situation IMO. <modsnip>

You will never see an official report from children's services about what was found. That's protected info.
But the outcome was MM getting her son back.

Like I said, there are always 3 sides to a story. I guess it's up to each person to form their opinion on what they believe.

the lies? she claimed she wanted to be a good parent. but, a good parent doesn't kill themself and leave a baby an orphan. she claimed having zander changed her life and made her want to be strong and live. but, did she live? ...

just b/c a judge gave MM the chance to be a good mother to her boys doesn't mean abuse happened at GI's home. in fact, MM's younger brother vehemently denies any abuse of himself, or zander:

"If anyone wants to message me, and ask me if I am abused, you are welcome to. I will give you the answer NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT AND NEITHER IS ZANDER," Phelan wrote, using capital letters for emphasis. "All that boy gets is lots of love. My mom is not and never was an abusive person."

interesting how one's assumed religion automatically makes her a bad person (and decidedly guilty of unproven abuse allegations), but a person with drug, alcohol, emotional and mental problems (and a history of criminality) is the one telling the truth...
 
Wow, what long winded, hard to understand the point, church talk in the mom's blog. It's hard to tell, but it doesn't seem like a weird religion. They believe in salvation by grace through faith. Maybe similar to Pentecostal with the dreams. I can only understand the KJV so am not sure what she was quoting though. I hope she wasn't paraphrasing.
 
Saying someone who commits suicide never wanted to be a good parent to their children is not only offensive, but just totally incorrect.

All the things that were quoted as lies are not lies.

People and circumstances change. Mental illness and abuse are beasts that are very hard to fight.

I pray those who so harshly judge others who battle depression and addiction are never faced with the horrific battles themselves.

Maybe MM inherited her mental illness and depression.
Seems she is not the only one in the family who ever thought suicide.

I suffer from mental illness that is hereditary & chemically imbalanced therefore I will have to live with it day by day. I would NEVER wish mental illness on anyone even someone I don't like. Sometimes it's worse than physical abuse.

My sister also suffered. She was bi-polar 2 (she was in denial) and killed herself 3 yrs. ago. I'm not over it yet and don't think I ever will be. She had 3 children and loved them very much and tried to be a good mother as best she knew how.
