Any one Read "Love Lies" by Amanda Lamb?
I am not impressed with it. What are your thoughts?

Amanda said herself that she would never again try to write a book contemporaneously with a trial. Friends, family, witnesses, lawyers, and other were all reluctant or prohibited to be forthcoming with her.
The book has very little new information for those who followed the trial throughout.
(Or at least so I heard. I did not read it, after hearing above.) :-)

Hi All,
Amanda announced last Dec she is done writing true crime genre books -- she said this at her book signings. She said she wants to focus on more positive subjects. I asked her if she'd be writing one on the Young case and she said no.
For anyone who followed the Cooper case closely there wasn't much of anything new in the book since the bulk of it contained text from documents already published like affidavits, motions, and trial articles. There was some info and interviews from family members that gave some insight into what was happening with the girls and how the family was coping and that was new. However, this book lacked what her previous two had--an inside view from the people running/leading the investigation.
It didn't stop the robust sales of the book. The defense's own Giovanni Masucci purchased a stack of the books, around 12 to 15, and had A.L. sign every one of them.

I did read both of them and enjoyed them. Much better with the inside investigation viewpoint and case information.
