IMO, the only way she gets disability is if she really does have all that brain cancer. :snooty:
 
I keep wondering if there is a life insurance policy out on Zahra (legitimate or otherwise, in the US or in AU) and the motive here is indeed money... money to pay a drug debt, money to pay court costs, bail or to pay restitution for all for the checks bad she's been writing.. things she's been stealing... and people she's been threatening.. I'm sure she knew she'd be caught up with eventually.

Why else would they have reported her missing instead of just saying they sent her back to Australia to live with family again--if asked in the future? The reporting of a kidnapping makes no sense otherwise. They must have thought that they had something to GAIN by doing so.

The only rub? I can't imagine how a life insurance policy can be obtained with so many pre-existing medical conditions, but it still sticks in my craw. Just my 2cents.
 
I think if they had pulled off the 'abducted' plan, they would have been trying to get money from various 'missing kids' foundations and charities and donations. EB just seems like the type for that.
 
I would like to know why LE changed from a missing person (amber alert) to a homicide....and why so soon...??
 
Just imagine if EB wasn't in jail right now for her other warrants. I believe she would be milking this with all she had. Her crying, lying face in front of the news camera. Setting up websites. Asking for money so they can survive because her hubby just can't bring himself to work with all this worry. Going on about her own medical illnesses. It would be a complete circus. :Banane23: Having her locked up was a blessing as it will keep the search more on track and people can tell what they saw with out her fighting back.

I'm hearing you! That woman would be quite a show bag.

Someone mentioned earlier in a thread that they can't understand why they reported Zahra missing in the first place, particularly if something sinister has occurred. Do you think someone was starting to ask questions perhaps? It's my guess these two couldn't lie straight in bed so if they were responsible, why concoct such an absurd story? Why now?

Why hasn't he been arrested? I bet you Mum in Australia (Zahra's grandmother) is deeply concerned after seeing that. What happened to her son???

In March 2010, the Bakers were arrested and charged for failing to return a laptop computer, a 42-inch Zenith television, a stereo and a living room suite worth $2,411.69, according to court documents. The couple had rented the furniture and electronics from Bestway Rent to Own in Lenoir.

A very good news piece about the Bakers financial and legal woes. Soo back to the question, what was SM's beef with AB's boss and landlord? Were they not able to make rent the week Zahra dissapeared and threatened with eviction?

Welcome NoeticSoul. Your post makes a great deal of sense to me. I haven't been able to figure out why they ever reported Zahra missing at all. Both parents were doing all kinds of illegal things for money. They must've thought reporting Zahra missing would be a solution to their problems.

You're right, too many pre-existing medical conditions for a large life insurance policy. I can see maybe they were going to milk this opportunity as the grieving parents.
