We will have to agree to disagree. Jodi is a narcissist and psychopath aka a monster. She is not a sad little puppy that is afraid of abandonment. Remember that she dumped Darryl (lived with him 4 years) at the first sign that he had financial problems. (She never attached to him because she CAN'T attach to anyone. She only loves herself.) She planned to kill Travis because he had the "audacity" to insult/reject her.
Nobody is allowed to insult a narcissist without experiencing some form of punishment.
Narcissistic personality disorder:

• Seek constant attention and admiration
• Consider themselves better than others
• Exaggerate their talents and achievements
• Believe that they are entitled to special treatment
• Are easily hurt but may not show it
• Set unrealistic goals
• May take advantage of others to achieve their goals

• Belief that he or she is "special" and unique, and can only be understood by other special people

• Hypersensitivity to insults (real or imagined), criticism, or defeat, possibly
reacting with rage, shame, and humiliation
• Arrogant behavior and/or attitude
