have any of his co-workers, etc. at CISCO come forward about his frame of mind lately? If he was unstable enough to lose custody of the kids, seems it would have shown at work. I know CISCO is a big well known company so maybe everyone has decided not to go public with their thoughts. Is he taking a leave of absence?
 
Hi everyone! I, too, am a new member. I live in Wake Co. (in Raleigh not Cary). I was reading the thread last night/this morning about the equity line being increased on the Cooper house. I apologize if this has been stated, but last Fall we had property revaluations and many were quite sizable. So, the tax value of most homes went up and maybe they had the line of equity adjusted to reflect that.

Thanks for all of the insightful comments on this board!

I am eagerly awaiting the 4pm news conference as well.

Well, the first day of spring was March 20, so I think it was between January and March the suicide attempt occured since it states Winter 2008.

When my husband asks me to scratch his back, I tell him that I don't want his DNA under my fingernails. He replies, "Well, I guess that you can't kill me tonight then." ;)

I'm like you, though. If my husband were to die, I'd certainly be the suspicious spouse. They'd take one look at my computer and wonder why I spend hours on crime websites! Plus, I know nothing about my husband...where he is, what he wears, when I last saw him. The police would think that I was either a nut or I was lying. I swear that I am that unobservant. The police would begin to wonder if I even knew the man, much less that I was married to him!!
 
This might be the Brad we are talking about. But I think I found a resume from 2006.What are the chances there is more then 1 Brad cooper in Medicine Hat. Read the ones about Skills eerie

This is in place to protect the kidnaping of children across borders.
You need to have both parents permission.
Lots of paperwork ...and if one party is not willing you can not cross the border.

IIRC, I thought I read somewhere that NC was planning to sendthe kids to her sistersfor a while ( a holiday/vacation). The girls would probably have flown then with written consent forms from both parents.

BC apparently gave NC permission to go visit her family in Canada with the girls, but then took the passsports away. :mad:

We tried to get airline flights for our Granddaughters (9 & 7 yrs) to fly from Mn to Florida in Jan. I called several airlines & none would accept them as passengers without an adult.

I questioned some of the supervisors & they said kids could fly without parents before 911 / since 911 they have all ceased doing it.

I would agree with you normally, but to me he only seemed interested in himself. That's pretty apparent on most, if not all, of his websites. The ONLY places I saw pics of his children were on the news sites! I think this was just his sick, twisted way of manipulating her into staying. He knew where her heart was and that was with the kids. I think the only reason he would want the girls was to hurt her more.

You are absolutely correct. True to his narcissistic self. A narcissist views loved ones as possessions...but that's not what makes him evil IMO. There are plenty of men like him out there. I, unfortunately, happened to be married to one of them. Everything that poor Nancy experienced, I have experienced as well. But, I can't begin to tell you how many men out there behave the same way when going through a divorce. Thank goodness she did have family to turn to. Many women, including myself don't. The women who get out are strong and no doubt are motivated by their love for their children. My motto was always "life does not have to be an endurance test"...there had to be better. When women lose their ability to earn income, in some way their roles are now viewed differently by their spouses (especially egocentrics). Brad had a SAHM for a wife...he did his job by paying for everything...her job was to take care of the kids. It doesn't surprise me that he may have been an "absentee" father. His girls were young...and they were his wife's responsibility in his mind. But, he very well could have been a good father to his daughters (by his standards). Narcissists are all about appearances so in some respect he would have had to try and maintain the "image"- husband, father, family guy. We obviously feel he failed miserably. But, he was/is these kids' father...and to be told that his children were being taken away shatters that mirror image that he has of himself. Don't get me wrong...if this man killed Nancy (and I feel that he did) he is pure EVIL. Anyone who takes another life is in my book. I just don't think taking the kids passports makes him that.

I thought that it was a suicide attempt when he was a teenager and a suicide "threat" in the winter. I believe that he made a threat as a manipulation. Many women say that they will kill themselves if their husbands leave them. The husbands then stay out of guilt and fear. I think that Brad used this ploy with Nancy. When that didn't work, he cut off her money supply. He knew that he was losing control.

I think that he was furious that Nancy stayed out so late and was having a good time. I know that my imagination would have been running if I were in his situation. I think that he was up and said something sarcastic to Nancy about being out so late. I think that she probably gave a flip answer back to him to enraged him; and that's all she wrote. He unleashed his anger and didn't stop.

I can not recall if it was ever mentioned when the came to the states?Did you read his skills and his goal? Sounds just like him

I thought that you could do it if it were a direct flight. I can remember flying my grandson on direct flights. His parents had to give a signed letter of the person who was picking him up. We had to show identification. The same for the return flight.

My friend's stepson who is 9 flies from Ohio to TN and back without parents all the time, I beleive they have to pay a fee for a chaperone to bring him off the plane to them.

dn't know that. Must be domestic

Thanks cheeko--didn't know that. maybe US domestic. We have sent little ones internationally-but needed to pay an extra fee for them to be escorted.
