Ok GBC was very deeply in debt and prepared to do anything to save face and not loose his lovely new building. His dodgy lawyer friend knows some loan sharks who loan him a heapof money. The business doesn't start to pick up as expected and the loan sharks want their money. Which of course GBC doesn't have and isn't taking their threats to do his loved ones harm if theyb don't get their money.
They would really like to break GBC's legs but they want their money and as smart businessmen.
They arrive at the house that night and torture ABC right in front of GBC (hands gone). They then get GBC to show them a place to dump the body so they follow him in his 4wd.
Toss her phone out along the way.
What do you think?

:crossfingers:
Just watch out for those Singaporean drivers lah, full concentration needed on those roads!

Ok lah...better than a bush drive I reckon, but you never know what the other one will do!! I start so early there are not many on the road

What do you think?

LOL! :floorlaugh:

I think you've been watching too much Law & Order.

I would like to discuss Alison's association with Pathways. < That's interesting. People get involved in these associations for a reason.

Care to discuss?

:maddening:
543.... excuse me?? Seriously?? Why do you believe that these police are not doing their job? They are working long hours and it's taking it's toll on them. I just can't understand why you would suggest otherwise?? Is it because they haven't found a phone?

How do you know that the police are busting their guts on this case? To me, they did the wrong thing by monitoring the roundabout at Moggil and Kenmore.....It's obvious that the person would have taken Moggil and Rafting Ground Road. Why haven't they asked everyone to look out for a recently damaged car? Look, the police stuffed up in various cases!!! Look at the poor Morcombe case....they took ages to give out an identikit of the ratbag who abducted and murdered the poor child. That was horrendously disgraceful that the public was waiting soooooo long for what the fellah looked like!!! They went on and on and on about a blue car too in that case! They could have handled that case a whole lot better and whole lot faster if everyone knew what the fellah looked like. It took nearly 2 years before the public knew what the man looked like.
The police screw up a lot. Also, the QPS in particular are wary of the public....they don't want to involve us. Everywhere else in the world (the majority), the police rely and depend on the public to help them. They are not afraid to ask. Here in Queensland, they ask years later or just ask silly questions like did you see a car at such and such. They should ask more direct questions like.....Have you seen anyone at all doing anything strange in the vicinity of Brookfield/Pullenvale between Wednesday (yes, the day before the alleged slaying) to the following Wednesday (yes...a whole week). Instead, the QPS ask everyone if they saw cars on the Moggil Kenmore Road roudabout from the hours of 11pm to 4am. What the hell??? That's ridiculous....They should have asked has anyone seen anything suspicious about cars from Wednesday (for precautionary measures...) to the following Wednesday.
Lots of things peeve me about the QPS and the way they handle this case. I'm sure that I'm not the only one peeved. The problem is that people worry about complaining about the police because they think that they'll pull them over for something trivial or accuse them of something weird (it happens in QLD). Luckily, I am not intimidated by them & I have nothing to hide!!!! Fed up with them dragging their heals and people patting them on the back as if they're doing this for free. They get overtime you know. I'm not going to tell them that they are doing a good job until I see results....I'm not a psychophant...sucking up to them!

Maxy, I do think the phone might have been chucked out on the way there. I do remember that they triangulated the phone to within 150m of the house and I've been almost tempted to drive there (5min away) and look around myself....

Hi again - some people have mentioned this previous post so I updated to the best of my current knowledge - feel free to correct or enhance or argue or whatever :)

----

From media (there are links to all these references in previous posts by others, sorry I can't go back and verify):
- Gerard Baden-Clay maintains he last saw his wife at 10pm - she was watching TV
- Gerard Baden-Clay behaved unusually during the search for his wife
- Gerard Baden-Clay engaged legal representation early in the investigation, well before there was any sign Allison would be found
- Gerard Baden-Clay's lawyer engaged a barrister on the day Allison's body was discovered
- GBC had a scratch on his face
- Police stated a canoeist discovered Allison's body - this is likely to be fact, as they don't/can't make false statements to the media/public
- Activity (most likely vehicle movement) occurred around the Kenmore Roundabout that is of interest to police
- Allison's Holden Captiva and its movements are of interest
- Any movement of the family Toyota Prado with signage on rear is of interest
- Allison had plans for the next day and would (logically) have had a lot of the children's gear and needs pre-organised for school and planned sleepover
- Allison's body was found underneath the Kholo creek bridge, possibly not where it would have landed if thrown from the edge (but may have been moved in the tidal or floodwater)
- Police showed interest in, and searched, the scouting grounds and surrounding areas upstream from where Allison's body was found
- GBC business was in financial trouble and he recently borrowed $300k from partners
- the police have/had GBC's mobile phone
- the police were actively seeking Allison's mobile phone and it hasn't been mentioned recently - it was expected to be somewhere within 150m of her home based on the last info provided by 'someone' - most likely the phone network provider
- Neighbours overheard a disturbance in Allison's home on the night she disappeared
- two 4WD vehicles (a large white vehicle and a blue vehicle) were seen near the area Allison was discovered (time not clear - before 4AM Fri)

Other facts or missing info (not in media as far as I know)
- Someone saw an elderly person in the bus shelter at the roundabout during the time of interest
- Allison had a hairdressing appointment on Thu evening, that she attended
- The police have records of texts sent by GBC on the night (from Maverick, not media)
- There was a lot of rain in the couple of days before Allison was found - mixed reports on how fast or high the creek was flowing and whether the floodwater could have transported Allison's body
- There is no clarification of how police knew what Allison was wearing (other than likely description for GBC based on missing clothes?)
- Allison was found wearing the clothes (or something like the clothes) someone described she would be wearing - most likely by GBC. He *may* have assumed this by guessing she was wearing her usual walking outfit or by clothes missing from her room/wardrobe
- the children were told something strange by the father when they realised their mother was missing (only Maverick has mentioned this, it is not reported in media, and not substantiated)
- screams happened 2.5-4 km away from Allison's home on the night she disappeared, most likely put down to noisy teens (and this is quite likely given the behaviour of teens in our area)
- there was something found in the rear of one of the cars (info from Maverick only, not further substantiated); highly unlikely the cars would have been returned to the family if there was any form of evidence discovered, so unsure if this is accurate
- a white 4WD and small blue car were seen parked very close together at the Anstead Store late on Thursday
- some of the fact emerging about the case in the background are distrubing (Hawkins)
-

Possible info (based on local jungle drums, speculation on this forum and reading into media reports - complete conjecture really) :
- A number of arguments have been overheard in the house in the past
- GBC had scratches on his chest (this has been mentioned on here and is doing the rounds of the local gossip but has not been substantiated)
- GBC had been having an affair previously
- he may have still been 'acting suspiciously'
- he treated Allison badly
- there may have been an AVO/DVO involved
- Allison's car may have been left at the showgrounds (nothing stated by police except at least one local claims this is what they were told)
- the house was a mess (holes in walls etc) - have only heard this from one local
- Allison's family dislike Gerard Baden-Clay's family

** NOTE ALL THE ABOVE 'possible info' - based on verbal conjecture by locals in the area or posted on her identifying themselves as people in the know - therefore should be taken with a grain of salt

Knowing someone very well on the QPS Daniel Morcombe case and how hard they worked to catch this guy, your comments in this case are ill informed.

Does anyone have a video link to GBC talking real estate? I would like to see the difference between the interview with his sister and what he is normally like.

I have no idea why anyone would think the police are not doing a good job, surely no one seriously thinks they are telling the general public what is going on behind closed doors.
They are just drip feeding info to keep things on the boil, for all we know they do have the phone now, I don't think it is as important now Alison's body has been found. Triangulating it to 150 meters is good enough for me.

She was working with autism spectrum disorder

It's not like a beleive my alternative theory I think GBC did it but just thought the people professing his innocence might like the looks of it. But no. I do like Law and Order btw

Hi folks on WS, just lurking about in the room as I often do and see that people are talking about tracking mobiles again. When I was last here I was talking about an old Four Corners program that detailed that, and have found a link for the case that was discussed on the program. Quit interesting stuff and is a good bakground read, and goes someway to outline mobile phone cell operation etc. End game, I am firmly of the belief that police have the ability to track mobile calls reasonably accurately and would likely do that to determine peoples approximate movements on the night in question.

yes I've wondered that. were they expecting someone else to come in from Ind way?

Oh good point about parking lights eliminating the flat battery idea - thanks. I'll have to adjust my latest theory.

I figured the back car would have their lights down so as to not be blinding the driver of first car while being towed.

So what reasons can we find for car being towed? Or any other reason for cars travelling in that formation?

Perhaps the car was not being towed, but just following close behind so they could see where they are going from the lights of the car in front? Sounds silly I know, but posters have mentioned how people mistakenly think that putting park lights on will make them less conspicuous yet it has the opposite effect?

I was of the understanding that the car crash happened on the Sunday and he reported Allison missing on the preceeding Friday morning. Do you have a link to where it says that the car crash happened on the Friday?

Mr Baden-Clay reported his wife missing in the early morning after he last saw her on April 19 at 10pm.

He said she had left their Brookfield home in grey exercise pants and running shoes.

Later that day, as he drove to the police station to give more detail about the last time he saw his wife, he crashed his car into a bus stop and was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The numbers on Brookfield Road aren't sequential - well sorry, they are sequential, but they often vary by 10 or so - eg. 584 might be next door to 572 (numbers fabricated) etc. There is no 543 afaik - google maps has taken a guess at where it should be based on the numbers it has listed (right outside #512 on the version I look at).

On top of that, 543 has confirmed they're not from here :)

We're on a wild goose chase again people ... :twocents:
:hills:

@Neuromancer, the bit about were they expecting someone to come in from Indro way, from what I had researched , one helpful person resides in the Brisbane suburb containing that old sandstone uni... if you know what I am saying.
