I really honestly don't think we will hear that. I think when we hear anything like that it will be:

"We found the body of...."

"We have made an arrest in the case of Kyron Horman"

I don't think they will say they believe he is deceased until they find him and/or charge someone with it. Period. I just don't think they will do it.

I'm fearful that they will tell us in tomorrow's PC that the family has reason to believe that Kyron is deceased, even if they don't have his remains yet. That is something that you would want to pre-announce to the press, so they can respond more carefully to the family. It may also be that they are telling the press that an arrest is imminent.

My heart just breaks for Desiree. :( I have a 7 year old son and have been doting a little extra on him ever since I have heard about lil Kyron. It's changed some things in my life.... I spend a little more time with him, I hug him a little longer...... I am so sorry you cannot do these things with Kyron right now Desiree....

Thanks for the great post. Makes you wonder how someone could ever hurt a child.

I wonder how Desiree Young feels about Terri Horman right now, especially if they do have more concrete information on her than we know. I think its terrible IF Terri Horman DID do something, that she was standing up and clinging onto Desiree Young during their press conference. Terrible! Also, I keep thinking about her poor little daughter who will lose her mommy if she is put in jail for this. Bad news all the way around if she was involved.

:prayer: Prayer's for Kyron and his family.

IIRC, the person who posted that was criticizing TH for not walking him into his classroom. I don't understand that logic either. That would mean that all parents who let their kids ride a bus to school should have their kids taken away because obviously they aren't there to escort their child into the classroom each morning.

I stopped walking my boys to their classroom after about the 2nd day of kindergarten. They did not want me to, it would embarass them.

That would also mean parents should never let their kids walk down the block to a friend's home, or across the street to the park, or even be outside in their own yard without their parents.

No one ever expects a child to be snatched by somebody anywhere... but it happens. If you're overly cautious to the point of paranoia... never letting them out of your sight... you can do serious psychological damage to a child.

The Oregonian just changed the wording of their report slightly to include:

"He said he would take a short list of questions from each news organization, review them with investigators, then respond later today after a short break."

Good Grief, I don't think I have ever seen this done in a case. I would rather hear extemporaneous answers from them than well planned ones that simply roll of the tip of the tongue !

BREAKING NEWS:

Kyron Horman's mother Desiree Young gives press a statement asking Terri Horman to cooperate with investigators. More details and video soon.

Now THAT is news.

It's just the headline at the top right now.

well I am happy to hear they have reason to think so.

this could all end well perhaps? I hope?

The saga of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman got a little more bizarre today at a news conference held this morning by the boy’s family.

The event at Brooks Hill Historic Church was arranged on Wednesday by Kyron’s father Kaine Horman, biological mother Desiree Young and her husband, Medford Police Detective Tony Young.

Absent was Terri Moulton Horman, the stepmom investigators say was the last person known to have seen Kyron before his June 4 disappearance. Kaine Horman filed for divorce and a restraining order against her earlier this week. And she’s since hired star criminal defense attorney Stephen Houze.

Today, Kaine Horman and the Youngs sat at the head of a table in a room filled with more than two dozen national and local reporters for print, TV and radio. As the meeting began at 10 a.m., Kaine Horman started out by explaining “the agenda.” This wasn’t going to be a typical press conference.

I was thinking this because someone would have to be caring for him.

From the link Angelo posted:

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/07/kyron_horman_search_family_mem.html

"We're optimistic that Kyron will be found," said Desiree Young. "And we can't comment beyond that."

Kryon is allergic to bees and has a strawberry birthmark in the middle of his forehead. It has faded, but shows up when he cries or gets excited.

Desiree Young said family members "lean on each other" to find strength during the ordeal. "We pray every day for a resolution."

"Our days are pretty much focused on Kyron." she said.

They said they are very confident in the investigation and the investigators.
