There are only two murder charges under SA law, Murder (intentional) and Culpable Homicide. OP is facing the same murder charge as De Oliveira, and what needs to be proven in OP's case for murder to stick is that he intended to kill even if his story is true and he shot at a perceived burglar. Premedation is a detail of murder.

That case was before the end of apartheid, and the SA constitution has been amended since then. The law has changed somewhat since that case was decided.

I was thinking about this today...

Depends on what he came up with over the weekend break. When lawyers catch a break and can get some rest, they may review and see an avenue opened during cross-exam that they want to pursue further.

I don't think he will be done by the first tea-break but if he doesn't have anything new that he wants to pursue, I predict he may be done by the end of today or early tomorrow.

It's really a guess though. He may strategically want to wear Oscar down again and hope he can get him to make a major slip up.
 
I bought breakfast with me this morning. German bread rolls (pumpkin seed one is mine!), smoked cheese and yoghurt, along with Dutch Speculoos spread and a tin of caramel waffles. English ginger jam of course.

I had to add that German staple -store bought hard-boiled eggs in bright colours - separately, as I forgot them.
