Benjamin Cucuru of Port Aransas, Texas has been again denied bail on charges he sodomized his ex girlfriends child. Mom, is being extradited back to Texas from Missouri as this poor baby was found to have multiple broken bones, and a bald spot on her head. Mom, is Erika Friesanhahn. Hospital officials said this is one of the most horrific cases of child abuse they have ever seen. I pray they get life in prison. That poor baby.
I just don't understand why people would do this.
 
I think I am having a harder time understanding why the attorney would float bail for this upstanding individual. There will be a number of safety factors in the community, I would think, if this guy is allowed to walk around, hold a job and go back to college. He, himself, is probably safer in jail.

As for the mother, both of them are unspeakable.

Nothing sexual on the images but you will see why it is totally ridiculous that they claim this child did this to herself.
 
Yet another despicable crime against a defenseless baby by a mothers boyfriend. I can't even ask where the mother was when this took place, because she too sexually assaulted this poor innocent child. When is this going to stop? We have to get tougher laws, we have to do something. I hope the both of them spend the rest of their lives in prison.
 
Horrible. I'll bet that neither of them end up serving much time in jail. In our world children, elderly, and the mentally ill have little value. I hope the court at least puts the poor little baby up for adoption. That is the least they can do instead of handing her back to the mother in a year.

God at the bruises on the child's face and body! I wish I had not looked. The poor baby was COVERED in bruises.
These sadists deserve NOTHING less than death.
 
White Rain, I'm with you on that. The DP is actually too easy on them.

Even though the pictures were extremely hard to look at, I think it's good that they put those images on TV. People need to realize just how bad some children have it so they won't hesitate to report abuse.

ITA, I for one will never forget these pictures. I literally wept for this poor little girl. I truly wish that both him & her mother spend the rest of their lives behind bars.
 
CORPUS CHRISTI — Opening statements will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday in the trial of a 30-year-old Port Aransas man accused of molesting his former girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter. :furious:

Benjamin Curcuru is charged with injury to a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child related to accusations he physically and sexually assaulted the toddler last year, according to court records.

His trial, which began Monday with jury selection, will be held in 319th District Judge Tom Greenwell's court.

The girl's mother, Erica Friesenhahn faces the same charges and will face trial on Oct. 20. :furious:

Curcuru also is charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child related to allegations he assaulted a teenager several years ago.:furious:
 
The following is from KRISTV.com. The trial began last week in Corpus Chrirsti, Texas - the victim was my paternal Granddaughter who now lives with my son (her Daddy) and me.

CORPUS CHRISTI - A woman with charges of injury to a child provided testimony against her ex-boyfriend Friday for sexually assaulting her 2-year-old daughter.

During the first day of testimony Thursday, members of the jury heard from medical experts who testified that the little girl's injuries could only have been caused by another person. Prosecutors contended that Benjamin Cururu, 30, sodomized his ex-girlfriend's daughter in October 2007.

Erica Freisenhahn, 24, took the stand on her own will to testify against Cururu.

The prosecutor asked her why she was testifying and Freisenhahn said, "I want to to the right thing. I failed her once, I don't want to fail her again."

On the stand, Freisenhahn said she started noticing changes in her daughter's behavior a few months after they moved to Port Aransas. During that time, she was working at a bank while Cururu took care of the toddler.

"She started acting differently toward me. She started not wanting to be around me," Freisenhahn said.

She admitted that she considered herself a bad mother because she would hit her daughter when the she acted up. Then, she said one day she noticed her daughter touching herself inappropriately.

"She was sitting there, poking at her bottom. When she brought her hand back up, she had blood all over it, all over her fingers," Freisenhahn said.

She said Cururu told her that the little girl caused the bleeding herself, and he insisted that Freisenhahn should not take her to the hospital because she would get herself in trouble when doctors discovered the bruises.

Next, Child Protective Services became involved, and that is when doctors discovered the severe anal trauma, which Freisenhahn said her ex- boyfriend caused.

"Because I wouldn't do that, and he's the only one that had access to her," Freisenhahn said.

The little girl was taken to the hospital after Child Protective investigators were called. Friesenhahn's testimony will continue on Monday and her trial is still pending.

Cururu is facing up to 99 years in prison if he is found guilty.

They DROPPED the sex abuse charges?! Why? Its not mentioned in this article, but I'm sure you have more inside information. How horrible! How sad! I read your other post yesterday about it and was just disgusted. thank goodness that little angel has you now, but its terrible what she has gone through. How is she now?
 
Where is the child now? Foster care? A relative? I hope she is somewhere safe and caring, and I hope they don't return her to the mother. I'm glad the mother turned the boyfriend in, but she sounds abusive herself. This girl needs to be somewhere safe where she can heal emotionally.

She is living with her Father and Grandmother. If I'm reading right, it is her Grandmother who posted the story. God bless this sweet angel. And God bless you and your son rsfy. I'm glad she has someone who loves her to keep her safe now.
 
Prayers for this little angel baby-I am so grateful that she has people to love and care for her now.
 
How can they drop the sexual abuse charge? What more did the prosecutors need? :furious:
