On her parents' July 30th visit to the jail, Casey was so jolly and chipper, and when they showed her the Caylee T-shirts they were wearing, she barely had a reaction. She was too busy thinking of herself and whining because she'd been trying to catch up on sleep she had missed instead of getting emotional over seeing her baby's picture of those shirts. Wouldn't anyone else have teared up over seeing the shirts?

TT - I'm not sure it's that he "couldn't" pay the bill and pick up the docs. I'm more inclined to think it's the good old "I'm not paying for a lot of stuff I DIDN'T ask for," exactly as he argued to Judge S.
I've seen a lot of attorneys try to get their opposing counsel to provide documents and things in a specific manner - in this case, JB wanted LE or the prosecutor to go through all the tips and ONLY provide those that referenced a "sighting." Problem with that request? If neither LE nor the prosecutor's offices maintains these tip records in that broken down of a fashion, then JB cannot get the judge to make LE or the prosecutor do it for him. All he can do is ask for the information and he will get it as it is maintained in the usual course of business by LE/prosecutor. Now, if either LE or prosecutor HAD done an analysis and broken out the sighting tips only, it would be a different story.
On the whole though, he probably hasn't the resources to really push this case the way he needs to.

KC has no idea where her daughter is..After the people took Caylee, she doesn't know what happened..She will not tell, remember, she is the mother of the year..Maybe these people staged Caylees death so the A's wouldn't look for her and the truth will never be found out..Maybe they were scientists that could alter DNA to make it look like Caylee was dead...I'm holding out for the alien abduction.
and wouldn't you know it---that little boy in NV--Cole----he was kidnapped for a drug cartel....his parents called 911 DAY ONE.....just her luck---someone else did the right thing.........so there goes number 1--(and his story was much more believable since LE also knew of this nortorius drug ring....) :doh:

This is what I think will be Caseys side of the story. This is all speculation, but if she tells this story, then it will not be as extraordinary as it might sound on first hearing. I gleaned all of this from facts and circumstances and from peoples emotions surrounding the case.
Casey was in love with Jesse, but he wanted Caylee adopted. Jesses brother, or some close relative was working for the police and had connections with Missing and Exploited Children. And Casey was getting money as a paid escort. Jesses brother knew he was dating this super hot girl, but Jesse didnt want Caylee. His brother told that to his co-workers in Missing and Exploited Children.
As the gossip got higher up the chain, someone from Missing and Exploited Children said, We can help. The first way they helped, I believe, was to fake the paternity test to prove he wasnt the father.
What was their agenda? Why were they willing to help Jesse get Caylee out of the way so he could have bliss with this hot chick with no responsibility for a child?
Jesse took care of Caylee for the first year but didnt have anything to do with her after that. He wanted her adopted. Casey and Jesse were a still a couple, Casey may still love Jesse today. Though Casey initially objected, finally she said, I was willing to provide Caylee with another home. She made that statement to police.
You have to consider that statement strongly, because it was not said to gain anything. And no one pursued it; it was forgotten, but she said to police in an interview that she was willing to provide Caylee with another home. Willing to provide, meaning she was pressured to do it and she gave in to the demand, which had to come from Jesse. No one else was pressuring her to have Caylee adopted.
The deal she accepted would probably allow her total contact with Caylee.
But when they took Caylee, Caylee disappeared. Casey tried for a month to get Caylee back on her own. The bad guys made it look like Caylee was dead: hair with banding, the smell of death, but none of Caylees DNA was found.
Here is where the story gets somewhat interesting because you see the limitations of the bad guys. The bad guys couldnt go to the people who had adopted Caylee and say, We need some of Caylees DNA so we can prove she is dead.
The people who have her would not have accepted that, so the bad guys have limitations, and all they can prove is that a dead person was in Caseys trunk.

How does Baez plan to 'tell her side of the story?' He can't testify and what he says means nothing. What he says isn't evidence. From what we have seen he has no one testifying on her behalf other than perhaps a few dna specialists that will say the dna evidence is no good. Who is going to prove her side in court? who is going to prove someone kidnapped Caylee? These phoney siting pictures that look nothing like her? These few oddballs that claim they saw her at the airport or mall?? I don't think that is going to fly. If KC testifies the prosecutor will make mincemeat of her and all her lies. Why would anyone believe whatever story she comes up with now after all her lies? How will they prove any babysitter ever existed? Its all baloney. JB doesn't talk about what his defense is because he has none. He is still working on the pack of lies he is going to give in his opening statement but that is not evidence that proves she is innocent

I really think what he means is that he will tell her side of the story in the opening argument, it seems to me there is a lot of room to talk at this point and so she wont need to take the stand. In the opening argument he will lay out whatever BS story they have decided on.

But doesn't any story he tells have to be in some way backed up by testimony and evidence? he cannot simply spin off a whole new tale of fiction without providing some actual sworn testimony or evidence to at the least prove his theory is highly probable under the prosecutions evidence, or provide his own evidence and witnesses to back it.
Am I wrong on this?
If he attempts to spin any new story, without actually putting KC on the stand, then the prosecution plays all of the LE interview tapes. ALL of the prison tapes. ALL the evidence that shows all she does is tell stories.
