CA - Martha Anaya, 28, Santa Ana, 12-Nov-2013

While Martha was still unidentified, her death was discussed on the thread for Shameca Johnson who was missing at the time (later found safe).

Apparently Martha's injuries were very extensive (one of our posters spotted a specialist clean up crew in a video, I recollect) but not fitting in with a pedestrian being hit by a moving vehicle, police said at first. Then they said there had been witnesses who saw a person exit the vehicle ( or 'fly' from the vehicle). Now someone has been charged with hit and run.

The only scenario that makes any sense to me out of all that, is Martha leaving the truck as it was moving and being run over by the wheels when she did so. Then the driver just carried on driving. That might explain the 'hit and run'.
 
This is a different woman. Martha Rodezno left a family party and was last seen at Avery/I5. Her body was discovered 20 miles away and a man has been arrested in her case.

AFAIK Martha Anaya and the others are still missing, which drives me crazy.

There has been no information at all on any of them.

I am hoping someone has some additional information about Martha Anaya, as I have scoured the news reports and FB pages to find out the following:

*What was she last seen wearing?
*Any dental work?
*Any previously broken bones?
*How did she get around (by foot, by bus, by car)?
*I read a comment somewhere from her BF that she had her phone with her. Wondering if the police ever tried to track pings?


Her family seems to be pretty active, so I am hopeful someone can reach out and give us more information. Her profile on NAMUS is pretty bare.

It would also be nice to get her on Charley, couldn't find a profile there. I originally found her looking through CA DOJ which is always bare bones.
 
Hi kpdx, I saw your posts on the Caspar's UID and I wonder if she is Martha, too. If she is, it seems as if we'll know pretty soon if the DNA is being run. We know she's not Kianna or Jacqueline.

So these two are connected to Martha Anaya's death!

So tragic...

I am not clear on how there is proof these two men are connected....

Not that I doubt the report... Just that I may have missed the information...

Maybe we will learn more at the presser tomorrow?

IDK if they are related, because Aubreyanna was found straight away, but I've always thought she was a victim of a larger ring. One of those "if you don't do this I'll kill your family" type things. I feel so horribly for all these young girls.

Only Cano was on parole when prosecutors say they killed Martha Anaya, 28, and Jarrae Estepp, 21. Gordon’s parole ended last Nov. 9 – days before Anaya disappeared from Santa Ana and her family began pressuring authorities to investigate. Anaheim police arrested Gordon and Cano five months later after Estepp’s body was found at a recycling plant.

Gordon said he wants to take the stand, have his trial aired on live TV to “embarass a bunch of people” and help the families of the four women sue the government. While saying parole agents were nice to him and Cano, he also accused them of trying to cover up mistakes.

I came across Martha Anaya while I was looking into an UID case (Mount Baldy Jane Doe) and am wondering if she might be a match for it. I'm considering submission, as her stats fit (at least the ones we have) and facial structure match the various sketches of the MBJD. I would love opinions if anyone's got 'em!

Here's the Jane Doe's current thread.
CA - CA - Los Angeles Co., WhtFem Skeletal UP14870, >25, on Mt Baldy, Oct'15

Stat Comparions with UID's in bold

Date Missing/Found: 11/12/13 ---- 10/12/2015 (remains estimated to be "years" old)
Location Missing/Found: Santa Ana, CA ----- Mount Baldy, Ca (approx 50 min. from Santa Ana)
Age: 27 ----- 25 (rough estimate based on what bones they found)
Ethnicity: Hispanic ----- NamUs says white but coroner and Charley say Hispanic
Height/weight/hair/eye could not be estimated as remains were skeletal and only partial, so nothing to compare here.

As far as the sketch to photo comparisons goes, a lot about the facial shape, chin, nose, eyes, forehead, and cheekbones look pretty darn similar, IMO. Even more so if you were to replace the dark hair with blonde (which Martha dyed her hair to be).

The killers say they disposed of the bodies by way of dumpster but maybe they lied? It defnitely gives me some pause because I'm not sure why they would lie at this point.

Would love other opinions!
