If Joran feeds it some of his food, it may befriend him. He could even name it Ben. Lol.

Or in desperation, he could roast it like I saw once on a PBS show with Nomads in another country far, far away.

They would be sewer rats because that toilet hole is a pipe connected to the sewer. Actually rats are pretty smart and they first sent out a scout. If there is leftover food in his cell and the going is good/ safe, his other rat buddies will follow LOL.

I'm sure JVS is wearing his shoes to sleep in too. His cot is no where near the length of his body, so he must overhang somewhere and what end of this body is near the "latrine"? The little dude could chomp (sweet nothings) on one of his ears too. Maybe the reason that guy had the hat on covering his ears. Although, I do think the rat would be among his least of worries with the amount of TB apparently rampant in Peruvian prisons because of overcrowding. Drug resistant TB by the way.

I've seen pics of him with a huge python around his torso when in Thailand, so why the squirmy worry over a little a Speedy Gonzales?

I think a lot gets fuzzy when translated. Dutch/English; sporter would be sportsman ,atleet would be athlete and sportief would sport-loving .

JVM is talking about Joran ~ the confession he couldn't understand because it was written in Spanish, yet he signed it; saying he was "framed"; Joran complaining of rats crawling out of the hole-in-the-ground toilet; and AVDS saying her son is "sick in the head".
 
US can induce confession- Was it suppressed? If he didn't speak Spanish, how did he communicate with these people?

Jean C. Intl. national press present. Atty had nothing to say to anybody. JVDS made a formal statement, and simply said his rights were being violated.
 
AVDS is fed up with JVDS. Says its a psychological issue. AVDS doesn't know what to do with him.

:woohoo::twocents:think of the costs that other countries face when lawyers stall for time -- no one wants to see folks railroaded BUT if there is flawed thinking then the high priced lawyers have to move their tails ((good to see and have them really earn their money for a change)

But he does speak Spanish! And pretty fluently, according to some sleuthers here. More lies, I guess. sigh.

If Joran can deny a sewer rat entry by laying a wet newspaper over a hole, he should patent that technique. LOL! The rats we have here could chaw their way through solid oak. LOL!
