While I agree that Alcala likely didn't have a partner, there have been several SK pairs. Off the top of my head:
Lake and Ng
Bittaker and Norris
The Gallegos

There's more, but that's all the names I can come up with at the moment.
Still, they are rare.

I've been wondering this myself.
Where did he go for basic training?
Where was he during the years after basic and before he was discharged?
Someone MUST know.
 
I'm not implying that RA had a partner in his murders. I'm wondering if he belonged to a child *advertiser censored* ring. And yes they most certainly existed back then. I am wondering if he bought and sold the pictures. Some articles say they found as many as 2000. That's quite a collection. Sounds like he never really had a steady job or vocation, so I'm wondering if this is how he really made his living?
 
I started a thread for one of the other girls in these photos called " long blonde hair/choker necklace. Some of us on that thread think this might be a strip club.
 
I see that I was wrong about part of the poster and you guys already figured it out yesterday. Next time I will try to look through the post better. Someone can delete my posts if they want to.
 
I'm thinking and thinking and thinking about why they released the pics that they did...Is it because they have other pictures of these people in more compromising situations, because they can't figure out where he was when he took photographs (ie. Denmark) or perhaps because the photos show jewellery that also found in the locker where the photos were...Or perhaps all of the above? I wish they would shed some light on this for us. I think it would help us to help them.

I think it is like you said, some pics have them in compromising situations.
And like the detective said, some do not look alive. So maybe they released pics of some that in other pics look deceased. Some pics they have might have these women looking very terrified. So they tried to find acceptable pics of them to release.
“Look at this, this person is posed like they’re dead. And how old do you think this is one is–13? I’m wondering how many of these people are still alive.”

I'm not a jewelry person, never liked it very much. I am noticing that a lot of these girls are wearing jewelry. Wonder if he might have given them jewelry as a grooming ploy. And all the necklaces make me wonder if they were strangled with them. Horrible thought.

I know those old electric alarm clocks were real common then, but I see one haphazardly included in the backgrounds of some of these pictures. It looks like one in the background of this one, too, but I can't enlarge this picture without it blurring.
 
Could any of the beach photos that Alcala took have been taken at Bolsa Chica State Beach? The article below says that Alcala & the 13 year old girl (must be Julie J.) were found at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach.

In 1974, two months after he got out of state prison, Alcala was found at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach with a 13-year-old girl who claimed he’d kidnapped her. He was convicted only of violating parole and giving pot to a minor, however, and two years later, upon his second release from prison, the law went easy on Alcala again. His parole officer in Los Angeles permitted Alcala, though a registered child rapist and known flight risk, to jaunt off to New York to visit relatives.
