FL FL - Adji Desir, 6, Immokalee, 10 Jan 2009 - #3

Adji's mother's and grandmother's pleas have always struck at my heart. :(

Also glad to hear Immokalee PD, FBI, and FDLE are going door-to-door again this week. And good to hear that the Sgt. stops by to see the family every few weeks. I know the results have not been ideal in Adji's case, but IMO, LE has done an amazing job and will never quit until they find him.

Also good to hear that they are starting to work on the age-progression for Adji.

And, on a side note, Adji's baby sister is beautiful.

Paul said he believes that someone in the community must know what happened to Adji, but that they may be afraid to talk to authorities.

If you saw the kid, say something,” he said.

Had a Little Trouble with the video... Not my strong point but Here is Adijs Wall of Hope, The Children at the Park in the Farmers Village all signed the One board and the other board was signed by many people in Collier Co. Who were there the first days searching.

Little kids were wanting the Balloons, They were Spider man, and a basketball, and a train balloon, We also let other balloon off but that we did by his last known place seen...

Thank you,

I also must say the new flyer's are a good thing, I went out there in my work car which has sheriff tags on it, (it was bigger SUV to fit all the balloons in)

My Friend Who speaks Creole went with me and we knocked on the doors of the people there and no one wanted to talk with us...

There were about 25 children playing outside at the park and as soon as we came there they all went running home.
Some slowly came out and we gave them a balloon and had them sign his board for his wall.

Adji .... dear Adji never forgotten. Two years now and we still have hope you will be found.

Thanks CN2Souls!

Thinking of Adji today. What a beautiful boy, with a smile that would melt any heart. Hoping some word is heard on this two-year date.

IMMOKALEE- Two years ago on Monday, a search began for 6-year-old Adji Desir after he went missing while playing outside of his grandmother's house in Farm Worker Village in Immokalee.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office has never stopped searching for Adji. CCSO and Adji's family still hold out hope they will find out what happened.

Becker, who has been involved in the case since the night Adji was reported missing on January 10, 2009, said between 400 to 500 fliers were distributed on Tuesday.

“There are 350 residents that are occupied (at Farm Workers Village),” Becker said. “We either spoke or left a flier with all of them.”

A makeshift memorial for Adji stands near the entrance of Farm Workers Village.

Spider-Man balloons swayed in the air and a teddy bear was left on the grass beneath a framed flier of Adji. A poster with images of the 6-year-old was propped up on the chain-link fence, yellow flowers and colorful stickers surrounding another flier pasted to the board.

Deputies go door to door in renewed search for Adji

Two years after his disappearance, Collier County deputies are still searching for Adji Desir. Deputies and volunteers from The Fireball Run handed out new fliers hoping to spark new leads in the case.

[snip]

Despite 2400 tips, Adji is still missing.

"We're not any closer today than we were January 10, 2009," said Becker.

Becker has regular contact with Adji's family to keep them updated on the progress of the case.

"As a parent myself, I could not imagine going to sleep at night not knowing where my children are at. She's been doing it for two years now," said Becker.

Becker says Collier County includes many different cultures.

"A lot of them, if they grew up outside the US, may not have a lot of trust in law enforcement," said Becker.

The sheriff's office is trying to build a Triangle of Trust with residents to encourage them to come forward with information that could finally bring Adji home.

I would like to make one observation about the area where Adji went missing,
We walked around the whole Farmers Village and especially around the area, which Adji went missing from.

First and foremost, There are HUGE speed bumps throughout this village, they are every 10 - 15 feet apart and about 15 before you get to Adji's home and you have to go about 3 mph not to bottom out your car on them. So no one could have driven in there then hurried and left.

From anywhere in the village you can see that area. Someone HAD to see something

The fence that goes all the way around that villages is up to my chest and I am 5' 8" tall so that would make it very hard for some one small to climb over and on the other side of this fence the brush and trees are Very thick, We tried to climb over and it is almost impossible,

There is only one road in and one road out, and the road out is narrow and you pass by the Safe place / HUD office and Maintenance building.

All the homes have huge windows on all side that are very easy to see out.

With that being said... Where is Adji??

CN2Souls, since you have seen the area, what is your opinion on what happened to Adji?

It doesn't sound like he could have wandered very far, with the fence? It doesn't sound like a car could have picked him up, unless everyone in the village saw it and didn't say anything?

Maybe it's a lot closer to little Farm Worker's Village than we've thought.

I still want those two RSO's that were hanging together in the village re-examined very, very carefully. Am not convinced that LE know of the 2nd RSO and the 1st RSO had an alibi. The 2nd RSO was from another country and was registered in that country as an RSO. Documented in the back threads.
Now with CN2Souls weighing in on what the village really was like am leaning even further to this being someone in the village/very close to the village. For goodness sakes, in a confined area like this what else could have happened - one way in and one way out.
Dear Adji - you have been gone too long.

My Humble Opinion Only!

I believe it had to be someone from this village, I also believe there has to be people who saw it. Maybe and RSO staying there.

This place has no trees no Bushes around the homes and barely any grass.

We tried to reenact all the possible scenarios to this and there is just no way no one could have not seen anything.

Also we stayed there 3 hour after the Time Adji was to have gone missing to see what the Lighting was at that time and it was very light out enough to be able to see everything also they have several Huge Street lights all over the place it is lite up like day light even after the sun goes down.

Furthermore for some one to try and walk out of there, they would have to walk past 15 house, than down the only one narrow road out of the village and than out to a major, heavily traveled road, with wide shoulders and trees cut way back. No way to walk through those woods with out a huge machete, even then it would take a long time.

I have to add that the Building on your left as you enter the Village on the only road that goes in there, Has a surveillance camera in it, I don't know if this is New or if this was there when Adji went missing, But I am Sure LE check it...

Where is ADJI!!!

Thank you for your very well thought out theory and for your observations. I am going back to previous thread and pull the information on the RSO's that was discovered after Adji went missing and pull it to the forefront so we can take another look.

I agree.A flyer is a very good thing.I pray it helps find out what happened to little Adji. It's sweet of you that you did this wall for him.

1st and 2nd RSO in Farm Market Village from previous thread:

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81697&page=18

The one registered sex offender living in Farm Worker Village, 51-year-old Luis Reveron, was outside smoking a cigarette and fixing a truck in front of his home at 1743 Elm Hammock Circle on Friday morning. He said through a translator that he has been questioned twice by investigators.

Revorn said he was at the casino Saturday night when Adji disappeared.

“He feels bad. He has a grandson too,” said Reveron’s friend, Alberto Cintron, who helped translate.

http://m.naplesnews.com/news/2009/jan/16/adji-search-continues-nothing-has-been-ruled-out-a/

While Luis was cleared, am not convinced that Alberto Cintron was even looked into yet he was hanging out with Luis.

Should this be bundled into some sort of readable piece of information and passed through to LE to check into - is there enough information to make this a good tip?

Thanks for bringing that info forward again, elepher. I wonder, too, if Cintron was looked at. If they even would have considered it. And then there's always those who haven't made it onto the registry yet because they've never been caught.

But regarding sending in a tip, I think they'd be glad to see it. If they've already looked into it, nothing is hurt. If not, it gives them *something* to look at. After two years, that's huge.
