Cleveland: Police issue alert for missing child

[snip]

According to police, Emilliano Terry went missing around 5:05 p.m. at Kossuth Park near East 121st Street and Williams Avenue.

[snip]

The child's mother, Camilia Terry, 20, says she was in the park with her children Sunday evening. Her attention was briefly diverted by one of her children when her 3-year-old child went missing.

One of Terry's children reported that Emilliano may have left the area in a black vehicle with an unknown driver. Police added that the vehicle may have been a Saab.

Cleveland police look for missing 3-year-old on East Side

Cleveland police are canvassing an East Side neighborhood in search of a 3-year-old who went missing from Kasuth Park shortly after 5 p.m.

Police initially were told the child may have gotten into a black car, possibly a Saab.

However, they have not been able to confirm that information and canines were brought to the scene to try and pick up his scent.

Still no amber alert issued. 4th District police still on scene here at Kossuth Park by E.121st. K9 units confirmed Emillio was @ the park

There are two 4th district police vehicles patrolling the park now as others check RTA rapid platforms.

Guardian Angeles out here assisting in search. 4th district Sgt says nothing of value turned up in expanded search.

4th District Sgt says there's little new info and that leads are "drying up." Still no amber alert issued. Sgt. could not answer why.

I am curious on why there is no Amber Alert. i wonder if LE has info that he did not get into a black car like the 5yr old sibling said.

What a beautiful child! I hope there are no open bodies of water at the park. Anyone familiar with the area? Praying Emilliano is found safe.

The park doesn't appear to be terribly large. If you click on the pictures on the left, you can maneuver the picture to see the park.

Well, they would certainly be able to tell very quickly if Emilliano was still there or not. Tiny park. I hope he just wandered away into this VERY residential area.

How many children did mom have at the park? She said her attention was diverted "briefly" by one of her children. There must have been another child if the 5-year-old was able to see Emilliano get into a car and mom wasn't. And, how brief is "briefly"? We hear that all the time. 30 seconds, or 5 minutes? (I'm NOT in any way saying she is at fault here. Just trying to get a clear picture of what was happening.)

Also, is it not dark in Cleveland after 5:00 pm this time of year? It's pretty dark here in Washington by 4:30-4:45.

FBI at police station...family members are too. Police taking every tip seriously

Hopefully, wherever little Emilliano is at is warm. Looks like the temp in Cleveland is around 37 degrees.

Very worried for cute little Emilliano! Praying he is located soon with someone who is safe. I don't know a 3 year old could survive long without assistance.

Mom seems to be very responsible. I know nobody is accusing her of any wrongdoing, but I came across this. She has two kids, but managed to graduate high school, and is now going to school to be a lawyer. Good for her!

Wonder if she had/has help raising her 2 children? Hope so. That's a lot of stress for such a young girl. If her first child is 5, she had him at 15 and then 2 years later she gets pregnant again and has Emiliano. Moved to Ohio from Mississippi. Going to law school. Singing, rapping. A lot of stressors.

Hope this cutie is safe.
