I'm coming in late to the picnic but perhaps it was in front of the judge so that he can rule on the objections to the questions right away. :)

Edit: the depo was at the SA office (of course). I thought it was weird allegedly being in front of a Judge (hence the smiley face). What judge would clear four precious hours on his docket for a witness depo? :)

I had thought about the Anthonys requesting "protection" from the media and/or protestors .... maybe the attorneys decided the "escort" was necessary to keep CINDY's mouth shut while she was coming and going ....... no escort on Day 2 of Cindy's depo, which makes me think it was not Cindy's idea to have the LE escort on day 1 .....

I thought the same thing yesterday, but Cindy appeared today, without escort, even though more media was present, it doesn't seem to work with that theory.

I think they wanted to be SURE Cindy would show up yesterday, without excuses.

ETA: ThinkTank, we must have posted at the same time, great minds must think alike!
 
I think the depo will make it into the court file because if something Cindy says works for Casey Baez will request it and if something Cindy says makes Casey look guilty then the SA will request it.

Remember, GA testified before the grand jury so his depo will have to have matching answers. BC will be one busy attorney for a couple of days.

You can bet Morgan will be wanting copies of these depo's too.

I think we will be finding some subtle changes, more clarification, to some stories that have been told by the A clan.

The depo was not in the courthouse it was in the building which may be next door? where the SA's office is located.

If you were betting I would take that bet because I do not think there is an icycles chance in Hawaii that they are going to be any more cooperative now than they ever have been. No way they are going to say anything different unless their own necks are on the line, such as for contempt for lying under oath to the State...

I noticed in the video yesterday the Escort put her arm on CA's back when she saw media and was guiding CA but CA pulled away kinda walked out of her reach. She didn't look happy about the Escort's assistance.

Not only "required" to go, by subpoena ... but actually ESCORTED by an imposing looking officer, with a huge badge hanging on her neck and carrying a police walkie talkie! Seems they wanted to make SURE that Cindy arrived for her depo.

Maybe Cindy was given the choice of going to her deposition or being held in contempt and escorted by the lady with the badge to the same jail where her daughter is residing these days!! Just a thought! That officer looks like she means business!! :poke:
 
FYI: WESH is reporting that the a large doc dump is expected to be released as early as tomorrow! :woohoo:

Or maybe KB was the only one to show up and there was no "crush" as they had anticipated. ;) I would like to see a show of hands from attorneys that think they could shut her up if she chose to speak at any time. LOL

This is video of everybody leaving the depo yesterday. At about the halfway mark, a reporter asks Jose Baez "why were you here today?" Baez responds "it had nothing to do with the defense, that's all I can say."

HUH??? Why else would he be there if not for Casey's defense? I really don't get this.

Thanks...me neither. And the timing...right after the transcript request for the "sidebar" (of which there is none). I was thinking it may have been the "off camera" transcript with the discussion about how the defense was being paid. This truly could be about anything!

Also, since the A's have given conflicting statements via the media, the SA's wants to "nail down" their testimony.
 
I have to wonder why Baez was there. It was closed and he is NOT nor has he EVER BEEN Cindy's attorney. I have to believe that they took the depo in order to nail her in her lies on the stand during the trial. I think Baez waa fishing for ideas to use in the defense.

General note to posters:
In Florida it is extremely hot and humid. It is the norm for Floridians to carry water with them in order to stay hydrated. In many cases, people also chew gum in order to kept their mouth moist due to the heat.

Cindy's attire was appropriate especially in Florida. Cindy was only going to a deposition and not in front of a Judge. Even if Cindy was in front of a Judge, she is still dressed appropriately.

Folks here in Florida go to church dressed the way Cindy did and in some case some dress even lighter then that.

Heck, I pack a small cooler with ice packs and a few water bottles(okay and a small snack LOL) to take with me if I leave the house for an extended amount of time.

I think that makes sense - only Kathy B was there yesterday - and she was surprised that CA wasn't there to see JB, so this didn't seem like something that the media was all in on (I have a feeling Kathy B has her "investigative" skills even more honed than some other folks and figured out CA was being escorted and may not have known why, or just happened to find out something was going down from an inside source at the building).

After the way CA and GA behaved at the Morgan depos, threatening to walk out and after they had to be threatened with contempt last week for not handing over documents, if I were the SA, I'd have a nice little escort waiting outside CA's house too, just to make sure she didn't "wake up late" or call in with a sore throat. These people have played the system too long and wasted far to much taxpayer money for anyone to trust them anymore, imo.
 
I can't believe CA didn't utter one word when they returned from lunch. Has she spoken to the media since AL came on board? Too bad JB couldn't keep quiet, just had to get in those verbal shots at Morgan.
