Their faces seem to float from his computer morgue photographs, artist sketches, forensic reconstructions thousands of dead eyes staring from endless Web sites as though crying out for recognition. John and Jane and Baby "Does" whose nameless bodies have never been identified.

I loved it and it did make me smile to know we are not alone in our quest. The way the reporter wrote the story was excellent. (Rather a nice pat on the back for all of us who do this on a regular basis, I thought.) The public awareness on a grand scale for the missing and UIDs is the best part of it all!

Here is a link to an AP article about a guy to chases down UID's on the web...sound familiar? LOL, how about his wife's comment regarding him hanging out with the dead...hands up if you have heard that one!!!

Wow... I was not totally aware that Tent Girl had anything to do with Doe's beginnings....

I remember reading about it when I was a little girl, and it haunted me to. I was elated when they found out who she was.

I just finished reading this on webtv,all MSN news.I had the same thoughts,kept hoping for a Familiar nick name. Can you imagine how happy and at peace her family are now..

I was crying before I finished reading. I hope the general public are made more aware and more empathetic of the missing and unidentified dead adults. People always think of children, as they should, but the Doe Network helps so many hurting hearts too.

I am so glad there will be 2 new official databases for the adult missing and the adult unidentified dead. I think all 3 will help solve most of the cases ( hopefully with some input from people like Steve Huff and other WSers).

Now that you mention it, I do recall reading from one of our posters about him being on television and in articles not too long ago. I will go back and find his posts. Thanks for reminding me, Steve.

The Kudos are way cool and overdue. I do this on my own, but not nearly as much as others. The work they do is astounding. The new databases should be a great help. I got started when I read the below linked series of articles a few years back. The answers are there, alot of times the info just needs to be matched up.

Another case I can't let go of is Kiplyn Davis. You know, her dad disappears for hours and never says where he's going. But her mom knows he is walking the local canyons looking for her. That breaks my heart.
