Got to love The Judge. Her remark about OJ you could tell she did not like him
Mr Simpson during a bail hearing I thought you were Arrogrant or Ignorite. During the course of this trial I found out you are both

Beth K says seven and a half to 30. They are still trying to figure it all out. That is Beth's take.

love it!!!!

Does he have any chance of appeal? I'm almost too afraid to celebrate yet.

According to foxnews he was sentenced to 15 years-life and is eligible for parole after 6 1/2 years served. He is not eligible for parole during appeals. YAY!!!!

:woohoo::woohoo: about time.. I really and truly believe he is paying for the murder he commited and not so much for this robbery..

latest from msnbc...9 before parole. 33 total. He will be very old or very dead. Unless his appeal works. His attorneys were terrible. Lots of OJ's relatives were missing: Jason, Justin, Sydney...hmmm.

Should I feel guilty about how happy I feel about this verdict? ......NO! He deserves it. He got away with murder and he wasn't going to get away with armed robbery too.

CNN
"O.J. Simpson gets at least 15 years in prison
Published: 12/5/08, 4:00 PM EDT

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) - A Las Vegas judge sentenced fallen gridiron great O.J. Simpson to at least 15 years in prison for leading an armed confrontation last year at a Las Vegas hotel room over sports memorabilia.
Simpson could become eligible for parole in about nine years. Grimacing, Simpson was escorted from the courtroom in shackles.

Judge Jackie Glass gave Simpson a tongue-lashing before passing sentence.

"Earlier in this case, at a bail hearing, I said to Mr. Simpson I didn't know if he was arrogant, ignorant or both," Glass said. "During the trial and through this proceeding I got the answer, and it was both."

Can someone update us on his two children (who are now adults)? Were they at the sentencing? How will this effect them?

You know the reality is the Goldman's actions are what made this all come together. if they had not sued him in civil court and won, OJ wouldn;t have had to try and hide his memorabilia. If he hadn't tried to hide his assets he wouldn;t have put himself in the possition to try and steal it back. The Goldman's were patient and got some of what they wanted.

The judge was actually very fair. Those terms could have easily been run consecutive and THAT would be a long time in jail. I think the probation recommendation was for consecutive terms wasn't it?

Does anyone feel bad for CJ? I do. I think he was just a friend that always helps another friend and was basically a guy without the boundary to say no. I believe he just wanted to help his buddy get his own stuff and was ignorant.

The prosecutor are saying he turned down a plea deal early on that was less time in jail. Have there been anymore reports about that? I am going to read the thread now and see. :)

Ok so being from Australia, I only saw and read about the whole OJ case a little bit.
So this jail sentence is for the stealing of memorabilia and not the murders ?

Did he murder his wife and her lover ? is that the general consensus ?

Why was he acquitted ? really ?

I mean ive read it all in regards to dna not standing up, but then later with the civil suit the jury found him guilty of the deaths

I don't understand this case at all.

Were people paid off to find him not guilty in the first place ?

Did the Cops plant evidence ?

There is a lot of confusing stuff written about this case

Good work Judge Glass!:clap::clap: So he has to spend 9 yrs. before becoming eligible for parole, but can face up to 33 yrs. in prison? I'm still confused! :behindbar Nancy Grace is talking about it now so maybe she'll explain the sentence.

On the afternoon talk show I listen to they did a segment on OJ and Stuart- and most people did feel sorry for him. The consensus was also that because the two were tried together - OJ didn't get as harsh a sentence as he would have had he been tried alone and that Stuart got a harsher sentence than if he had been tried alone. Geez- I hope that makes sense...!

I am watching his sorry azz attempt to disavow himself. So glad after all this time he is sentenced to something. I love the judge...she was awesome and no BS.

AMEN! This SOB should have been there after he killed his wife and friend.
I KNOW people who know him. He is the most arrogant *advertiser censored*......a sociopath they can imagine. 'Well.........you guy's know that! Justice was done today. Judge was GREAT! Made my day!
