Sorry but I've not read of any confirmation either way re those screams. You can't go saying well it was put down to a party. Could you provide a link which shows confirmation ?? Just because you say it's fact, doesn't mean it is.

That's what i thought too marlywings.

There was an online media report (sorry I dont have the link but it has been a couple of times before) that screams were heard and they were, as i recall, within a similar area to the reported hotspot where the mobile phone was traingulated to before the battery ran out. A couple of screams were reported then what was described as a scream that was being muffled as if someone was putting their hand over a persons mouth.

After this was reported someone else did report there had been a party in the area, but there was no official ruling out of the screams as being significant, or proof that they did come from the party.

However, since then, there have been no further pleas from the police about finding the mobile phone, or pleas about anything or anyone sighted near Rafting Ground Road/Winrock Street/Moggill Road which I think was the area where the mobile hotspot and hearing of screams coincided.

I think a dramatic weight loss is normal under the circumstances. It would be undeniably stressful to be GBC at present. I can understand why he wouldn't have the biggest appetite right now.

Here is the link to the article http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/...alarms-residents/story-e6frep2f-1226341666902

I'm an article research nerd *blushes*

Witch hunt!

Didn't the mod say something about an ignore button if you can't play nice, why interrogate other users...a bit rude don't you think

Really? What about this?

"The Courier-Mail understands a frantic Mr Baden-Clay rang and sent text messages to several people asking if they'd heard from his wife after she failed to return home on Thursday night. Eventually, he went to bed alone."

Exactly ! and why would he say she is missing after being 30 mins late, why didn't he get in the car with the children and go looking for her ? how did he know what she was was she wearing?

I have been watching post for a few days and find it very intriguing...I haven't seen any comments on GBC dramatic weight loss...Has anyone else noticed this?

Do you think it was due to stress of his financial woes or possibly because of his alleged affair and wanting to keep his mistress interested?

I think this is quite interesting because he clearly looks different to all pictures that have been in the media and also his C21 website. He was quite beefy and now he looks alot thinner??

Even though he looks like a man under stress to me, it could also be trading up if Gerard was indeed cheating. It's my understanding that a man will generally start out cheating with someone physically inferior to his mate, feather his ego which in turn gives him the confidence to aim higher the next time around. I just don't know in this instance, my instincts tell me this is more to do with money than lust.

That's what I've been wondering. Someone who seems as impecable as Allison would be unlikely to have gotten out of bed and put on the same clothes she had on the night before IMO

They must have been arguing quite loudly as there are apparently no immediate neighbours. I read there was a church/hall one side and a childcare centre the otherside. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought I read an article yesterday about trying to find the mobile phone? Let me have a look...

Also, I know for a fact a friend of mine who will not call crimestoppers about being near the roundabout. He didn't see anything, he just wasn't to get involved (this makes me SO mad!)

I'm wondering if mud/tree branch was found in a strange place of the car (because Kholo Creek is muddy/bushy) and this is what alerted the cops to it. Personally I still think he put her up creek because if a car came around that bend on Mt Crosby Road there isn't much time to get out of there.

Who knows, I guess one day we will all find out and there is probably something we have totally missed (for obvious reasons - we aren't involved in the case!) Maybe... the washing had been done and was still wet and they noticed it and thought it was odd because who hangs out washing at 6am. So many different scenarios.

IMHO he is a control freak. Comes with the sneaking around affair stuff.

Ok we have all been suggesting that Allison confronted the mistress. But what if the mistress confronted Allison - and GBC was there?

What sort of party would have gone down in that situation. He was supposedly free from all affairs at the time of Allison's death but do we truly believe this?

I messed up the quote thing, but to the person who says they don't know of any woman who takes their handbag on a walk, well I do!

Sorry TrueSlueth, no disrespect but I made a 000 call in a domestic incident some years ago and then hung up and they rang back within 5 minutes and insisted to my husband that they speak to me and I was ok.

Am I right in saying that this is the first bit of new and interesting perspective in a while? ie - How did he know what she was wearing? I dont recall anyone bringing this up. If he didnt see her leave how would he know what she was wearing - ie if he went to bed and was asleep when she left home, how would he know what she chose to put on? Unless she always wore the same thing. I wonder. Some people might always wear the same thing but others would have range of gym/fitness/walking clothes and wear different things depending on what was clean.

There is a house to the back of them--that was said in one of the Courier Mail articles a few days back (sorry...no link)

Personally I think that the killer is going to get away with this. The police sound very desperate indeed, pleading for the community to come forward if they had witnessed something odd at the round-about...how obscure.

GBC is hiding behind his lawyers, the police have to be very careful re. making an arrest. The lawyers would be completely on top of this.

It is obvious that the evidence they do have is circumstantial...

I don't know if any of you remember the case about the man that murdered (via drowning) his girlfriend in the Brisbane River??? He was seen coming from the river soaking wet by witnesses the night she was drowned (there's probably a whole heap of facts I am forgetting). Anyway all circumstantial he got away with it.

Don't you just love our justice system...

BTW: This kind of makes me want to give up sleuthing
This has been my concern for a while now, think about it, how much do top criminal lawyers/barristers get paid? And... how many cases do they take on at one time ( talking criminal law here, not conveyancing work)
How much do the police get paid? and how many cases do they have going at one time?

And before people start saying "what has money got to do with it"

It is a reality that you get what you pay for and this explains why private school teachers get paid more than state school teachers, why specialists get paid more than GP's etc etc.

He has from day one had expert criminal lawyers ( and now a QC) who specialise in criminal law, who are expert at dealing with the police, who know how the police work, who know how the system works and there is a very good reason they get paid a bomb.

People joke about OJ Simpson, but the fact was he had that many lawyers ad barristers that they outmatched the prosecuters and the jury was confused, the just have said as much sice which you would all know.

The police are used to shmucks that crack up pressure and fess up, they are ot used to someone lawyering up straight away and they are not used to having to ditch their most effective tactic which is scare and bluff and get the person to crack.

This is nothing new and a lot of people on here would know exactly what I mean, money talks and bullsh1t walks, as I have said before, this is one time I would love to be proved wrong and if my opinion is totally wrong, then I will be glad

I agree....Well Done and excellent observation STELLA85 :what:
