Yes, law enforcement put Beth off as a runaway and lost time.

Just like Hailey Dunn, Jonathan Foster and several other kids in different areas of Texas were initially labeled as runaways. If you are over 10 years old and disappear odds are about 50/50 that you will be labeled as a runaway. It's just the way it is. That's why you have to fight to get the media coverage and prove they are not a runaway.

They could have simply continued to say she was a runaway and left it at that. I highly doubt any suspect walked in screaming "I kidnapped her!" So they had to do something to investigate at some point. They also didn't get national pressure like LE in Hailey Dunn's case.

I'm not going to condemn the whole department for a couple of cops who became cops for the wrong reason. That'd be like condemning all doctor's because mine was an incompetent idiot. :twocents:

KUDOS to the girls mother for acting right then and THERE!! The liklihood of these girls "recovering" is very high with their mom's support.

It was posted when I made my post, but looks like it's been removed now. I think maybe it violated TOS because there was children in the photo not sure. I didn't post it though.
 
Ah, well ... I really wanted to see the walls, lol, to see in what way they looked "institutional." Thanks, anyway. :)

I know it does not excuse the delay, but I have a bad feeling that Elizabeth was probably harmed before her mom even reported her missing. :(

have you seen his mug shot ......he looks very dangerous.

I noticed he has been arrested for public intoxication. I am betting that there was no babysitting job, she maybe told mum that, but instead was just visiting them at the motel room maybe to party a little with the boyfriend and dad has gotten himself drunk and, well she is a pretty 17 year old, and put it on her so to speak and things got ugly.

Strange this 12:30am thing since they claimed to have dropped her off at 1:30 and came back around 2am and it's only then she was understood by her family to be missing. So either the journalist made a mistake or was misinformed or, not seeing her daughter by midnight and not getting a reply from the "friends" her mother may have called LE already before the alleged drop off? :waitasec:
 
Some reports have added terrorizing along with kidnapping charges. I'd like to know what that involves. Searching fields and lakes doesn't sound good. There's not that many water areas around here. Most are just the playa lakes at parks, but lots of field areas around the edges of town. I doubt if he'd went all the way out to Canyon lakes or Buffalo Lake.

Oh, and the cop arrested for molesting adopted daughters:
I also read locally that he was a big Christian churchgoer, a former scout master, real estate agent, and married to a teacher. He must have confessed right off the bat or the wife got more evidence other than just busting in on him in the act, because he was arrested right away.
 
I hope Beth will be found today. Two weeks to cover trace of any potential crime committed is not good :(

Humberto Salinas Jr. forces Elizabeth Ennen into room 113 at the Carriage House against her will.

Humbeto Salinas Jr. is then seen chasing Elizabeth Ennen into a corner.

He then escorts her out into the parking lot by force. He has his hand around her arm leading her.

This video depicts that Elizabeth Ennen was afraid of Humberto Salinas Jr.

Humberto Salinas Jr. knowingly abducted Elizabeth Ennen. Elizabeth Ennen has not been seen nor had contact with anyone since Humberto Salinas escorted her to the parking lot.

Maybe terrorizing her is anout jhim chasing her all over the hotel parking lot & such.
 
This is horrifying...I wonder what time she was taken out of the motel and if it was on the same night...I hate to think it was later on after her mom had reported her missing...

OK, that last article says she was last seen around midnight on Jan. 5th-do they mean the last sighting was on the video, as in that was when she was taken from motel by force? This is just so scary...her poor mom...and poor Elizabeth. Her mom was close friends with this man?
 
I read in one article that VE (EE mother) last talked to her at/around 8 pm Jan 4, evening she went to 'babysit'.

And when the purse was returned to the home, it was wee hours of Jan 5th- so I guess that is the date EE marked missing once VE called LE.

I have not seen anything yet to verify EE was actually babysitting...although HMS 'may' have young children. So IMO why she was at the motel is officially know.

She was taken out of the motel ALIVE.
 
So it sounds as though when they brought the purse back...they had already taken Elizabeth from the motel and either hidden her away or worse...?
 
I'm not understanding why they took her purse back to her house? Why do that? Why alert her mother?
