GUILTY TN - Aniston Walker, 7 wks, Memphis, 9 Jan 2014

There are quite a few bodies of water in the local vicinity of the residence. Does anyone know what lake they are referring to searching? Is it possibly the one over by the Wolf River?

Thanks for the map hollye.. hmm The article made it sound like the lake was just behind the house. I see a body of water close but not behind the house, and I would call it a pond not a lake. I agree the one over by Wolf River is what I would call a lake, and it is in the vicinity behind the house just not close.

The news reports say 10lbs and the baby just looks healthy, well cared for, and with curiosity in her eyes. I guess things aren't always what they look like though. The house was locked and there were no signs of a break in. Sadly there just seems to be no chance it was anyone but the mother. I think it's going to end up the same thing we've heard a million times. Mother was in over her head with three small children.

This is a pretty embarrassing story and I hope no one thinks less of me for it, but it's relevant.

I was completely a single mother doing it by myself no breaks, no help. I remember one day when my daughter was a month old. One of those you do everything you can think of and the baby just wouldnt stop crying. I seriously felt like I was going to have a mental breakdown. I put her in her car seat, went to my parents house, and just put the car seat down beside my mom and walked straight outside to the porch where I hysterically ugly cried for what seemed like forever. Eventually my mom walked outside and I started trying to explain everything and how I cant handle it and she stopped me and said I'd done the right thing and that she'd never been more proud. Sometimes when there's nothing else you can do you just have to walk away for a few minutes.

She told me that every mother has that moment, and that moment can be the difference between being a mother and a monster.

Exactly, so confusing, but regardless, this does not bode well for sweet baby Aniston. :(

Your mother was right. You did everything right

I've done that for my daughter, and I'm sure I will again. some people don't have that blessing, someone to go to for help.

The point being I think it's going to come out that she was in that moment and handled it in the worst possible way.

It's true not everyone has someone to go to. My aunt just had to put my cousin in a play pin and go outside and chain smoke (25 years ago)

Your Aunt did good . A person doesn't have to have someone for help. It is great when they do.
Put the baby down and walk away.

Thank you for sharing your story, Sin. I would bet money that there is not a mother out there that has not felt the same way! Myself included! You most certainly did the right thing!
As far as this mother not having anyone to watch Aniston while she took a break.....There's been plenty of people being escorted out of the house into police cars for interviews.

Sorry, but who leaves a 7 wk old baby home all alone???????? WTH

EXACTLY! I was thinking the same thing.
IMO that fact that we have a missing 7 week old baby missing and a mother who says she left her home alone and then went missing....speaks for its self.

I just saw little Aniston's "missing" FB post, shared from a friend so I came here right away.

I agree with your mom, Sin, you did the right thing. :hugs:

My heart breaks to think of another completely helpless child ending up hurt or killed by the one who should be the ultimate protector. I'm praying for this little one!

I looked at the map (Thanks, Hollye!) , I can't tell where they are searching in a lake. I see lots of ponds though! Poor baby. :(

I don't think that's embarrassing at all. I think it's kind of normal esp if you were a new mom. You did the right thing.
Walking away is what normal good moms do when we are overwhelmed.
As long as you check on them, can still hear them, know that you've tried every thing sometimes it's all you can do.

MPD asking anyone who may have seen Andrea Walker the last couple of days to call them- 901 545 2677. Trying to piece together timeline.

I didn't realize it was the Dad that called LEO to report missing Aniston.

I'm happy that Toney Armstrong is heading this up. I so admire him from his work on The First 48. I know those Memphis detectives will not rest until this little one is found!

Praying for a miracle.....

Sadly, a lot of people do and if you really think about it, it's way safer than some of the stuff people do with babies, like leave them with boyfriends when they know the boyfriend resents the baby.

Leaving babies and small children alone is actually a very common occurrence in lots of Europe -

I don't think for a minute this woman left the baby home alone. If that were the case, when she returned the baby would still be there.

Just IMO, if the mom did leave Aniston home alone with a 3-yr.-old brother, it is very possible that he harmed the baby in some way. When the mom come home, Aniston was deceased and she panicked.

Oh! I thought she was saying she left the baby alone. Leaving a baby with a 3 year old is EXTREMELY dangerous. I'm not sure now what happened to the baby - whether the mother or the other child harmed her.

The father was the one to report the child missing, was it out of concern for not seeing the child for a while? or was it because the mother informed him the child was missing?

Armstrong said police believe the child's father, who does not live at the same address, reported her missing. Walker was believed to live alone with her three children.

It was not immediately known when someone other than Walker last saw the missing child.

Totally speculation here on my part:
I wonder if Mom came home from taking the 5 year old to school...
The baby was gone so she called Dad to see if he come to get the baby.

Maybe she was like "Oh well I will call around" and Dad was like "I'm calling 911!"
Or maybe Dad just took it upon himself to call no matter what Mom said. :twocents:
