It appears that LE reported to the medical examiner that LE's theory is: "Davis owed money to McNeil and offered the daughter in exchange for forgiveness of her debt."

IMO, LE's theory regarding AD has yet to be proven.
 
But don't they have video of AD handing Shainya to MAM in front of the house that morning?

I know they haven't proven it in court yet, but I believe they have enough to charge her.

I understand how everyone feels about this, I feel the same.

BUT I truly believe that LE wants to nail anyone and everyone involved in this case as much as possible, with the stiffest results possible- no room for error. So while I know that what is going on in the Fayetteville area may be a part of the hush-hush aspect, I also think that LE is....just trying to ensure they have all their T's crossed and I's dotted.
Don't forget, friends- this is NC....we don't go lightly on this kind of crime when it comes to, ummm, time. There are a lot of people now in this area that would take MAM out back and shoot him, if you know what I mean. LE wants to do that too.....just legally.

Can we cut LE a little slack here, because I believe they DO want to do right by Shaniya and any other child harmed by these people.

Absolutely! I never doubted the LE commitment to this case.
The turnout of the community for the memorials was a clear indication of how much they cared, LE won't let them down.

I personally have no problem with the lack of public information, quite frankly it's too much to bear. There will be plenty of information and details once the full case goes before a grand jury and/or judge.

I pray for the people that are working this case and for their continued safety and good health. One can only imagine how this has affected their daily life. Even the seasoned detectives faces showed such deep emotion during the announcement that Shaniya had been found.

I need a rest from this mess and I'm not a detective. I will continue to light a candle daily for Shaniya, may she rest in peace.
 
There are moments when I have to literally walk away from the computer and clear my mind from allowing myself to get consumed by this case. I think of what she had to go through each day and just find that I will never forget Shaniya and hope that all of LE's efforts to collect all the info they need will bring what these two sicko deserve. I never believed in the death penalty but I can't find any other punishment more worthy for these two other than allowing some type of execution to vanish them from this earth. I am for once relieved there is a hell so these two can rot in it.

I agree entirely- a lot of people involved-detectives and otherwise- are feeling tremendous stress and pain over this case.

Shaniya- you are not forgotten , though it may look like that on the news....you are NOT.

Hi my Kiki bird :)

I read this article yesterday and it is very upsetting.
The SOB had pictures of a little girls privets on his phone. :banghead: Sickening just sickening.
I am not really clear if MAM claimed he did not kidnap Shaniya but AD gave her to him, I am not clear if LE has a theory that AD gave Shaniya to MAM in exchange for a debt of drugs.
But I am worried because the monster mom has not yet been charged officially. What keeps on flooding my mind is an old memory (no link & I am not quoting it)) that LE said: There is NO LAW yet that they can use to change her with. I know that trailer was filled with people and a little boy who saw a man with dreadlocks (MAM). I am sure the boy was told not to talk by his mom.
It would take a specialist to get more information out of that boy, and they may have it, but for the child's protection are not releasing more of what he said.

This case has me very worried. :( :(
and as for AD buying or selling her soul...I doubt that she has one. IMHO she is an empty shell, low life Ho.

I wish it was that simple....And I know that everybodys heart is in the right place.
What they want and what they can do may differ unfortunately :(
The fact that they said that there is not a law on the books that they can charge her with yet...Did feel like a knife in my heart.
the fact that they could not shake down all the Low lives that hung out in that trailer for information, does not give me any confidence.
The fact that MAYBE they did get more out of her son, and are trying to protect him for his own safety - that works for me.

So far not much about this case is working for me except that 2 low lives are sitting in jail for now.

I think they do.

I'll have to dig up what my mind is remembering. I know I read something about the survaillence tapes from the park manager that MAM picked Shaniya up in front of the "home". I don't know if AD walked her out or opened the door and sent her out. But, I think they do have the tape of her being picked up in front.

I'll try to find it.

I'm thinking I heard the manager talking about the video tapes on Nancy Grace. I'll have to try to Wade thru transcripts.

I totally understand how you feel.... but still feel two are better than none. As perthe pics of the other child (or children)...phone records (which includes txts, pics, etc) can be very difficult to manage in court unless obtained in the most legal way available at the time.

I'll be very happy if they do :) really happy.
I seem to remember that the camera did not pick it up at all.
but I would much prefer to be very wrong on this.
