The individual running the Facebook page made a post indicating they think someone may have Baby Kate and may be taking care of her, thinking they are doing a good thing.
Don't know about how true this is, but I think it would be a best-case scenario at this point.

In the 7 short months I've really been following WS I notice it's a trend that families and friends always say "we know they are safe and someone has them" ...
 
Not only is this young man torturing the mother, extended families, LE and searchers by not giving information he is the father to a 4 yr old daughter also. How evil and cruel to take her baby sister. I hope someone is loving her and comforting her. She must be so confused.
As each day passes I feel so much lost hope for a positive outcome. If he had taken it upon himself to find the baby a new family they surely would come forward.

I will never understand a parent hurting a child in any way. They are so innocent and fragile-life is too precious. I imagine heaven filled with bubbly, smiling, dancing little angel children waiting there for us.

Blood droplets found near suspect home
Search continues for Katherine Phillips

- Droplets of blood and footprints were found not far from the Scottville home of Sean Michael Phillips

- Evidence technicians arrived on the scene around 3 p.m. Tuesday and a Michigan State Police helicopter is in the area. Two MSP tracking dog teams were also deployed down the road from the home.

Michigan State Police Investigating Blood Found Near Suspect's Home In Baby Kate Kidnapping
The woods are located off Millerton Road in Scottville, near Ludington where the baby was last seen.
4:49 p.m. EDT, July 5, 2011

  • Searchers from the U.S. Forest Department Service found blood in the woods near the suspect's home in the baby Katherine Phillips kidnapping case.
  • Michigan State Police have an evidence technician on-scene taking samples of the blood. The technician has been on-scene for about an hour, and police have not said how soon they will have more information on the blood sampled.

New search for Baby Kate covers old ground

Officers from the Ludington Police, Mason County Sheriff's Department, and the Blue Lake Township Fire and Rescue Department searched an area three-fourths of a mile from the home of Sean Phillips, 21. He is the man charged with kidnapping Katherine Phillips on June 29.

Deputies say they had covered the same five-square-mile area repeatedly during searches last week, but were back there again on Tuesday afternoon. They say commanders were discussing whether there would be any release of information on the Tuesday search.

What does this blood mean? Is this the home where the mother also lived?
 
Forgive me if this has already been asked and answered, but was baby Kate's Carseat found in the car?

IIRC, the blood was found near the home where Sean lived with his parents. This is NOT the home Ariel lives in. She has her own apartment in Ludington on Tinkham Avenue. Sean lives on Millerton Rd.

Area law enforcement officers say they are doing everything they can think of to solve the case of missing baby Katherine Phillips.

On Tuesday that meant, in part, re-searching areas on the suspect’s family’s property, serving a search warrant at the Ludington Daily News as they look into the possibility someone may have offered the baby for adoption, and trying to track down the mother’s cell phone left in the suspect’s car.
