I know I showed up once with sunglasses on my head and was told that I couldn't leave them up there. That judge had issues with folks who did that. That is when I learned that Judges can include what ever they want. Which is fine by me.

However, I was shocked to see what folks were showing up in. Shorts, flip flops, etc. Nothing was said to them. But my sunglasses had to go. Maybe in Florida the Judges don't care what folks wear? I don't know, but it was rather shocking.

You may be correct, but I would rather err on the side of caution.

Just wondering if BC is a death penalty qualified attorney?

According to Fox 35 on their 10 PM newscast, George will be deposed Wednesday afternoon and Lee on Thursday.

This isn't the "Fashion Weekly" thread, lets stop with the negative appearance comments.

Yes, people in the Orlando area are known for "dressing down". I have friends that use to live in Jacksonville and people all dressed up there. They moved here and often found themselves totally overdressed at parties, etc, even funerals! So the way Cindy dressed today didn't shock me at all...I never gave it a thought.

Interesting timing. First they take it all the way to a court hearing to get the docs. CA now on notice that they mean business. Immediately they then have the depo. CA story is now officially on record. Changing it could mean charges against her.

I have a question. Is it normal for the state to depo a witness in a murder trial? Or is it as I suspect only used when the state is not sure the witness will testify truthfully? Will the state be doing depo's for all the other witnesses?

Second question. Why are the witness interviews subject to the sunshine law and available to the public, but not the sworn testimony that would come out in the depo? Somehow that seems backward to me.

Media says that CA left with a little smile on her face. So does that mean the depo went well in her eyes? Maybe they didn't ask the questions she doesn't want to answer. Or does it mean that she thinks she manuvered the questions well, didn't let anything slip? Or does it just mean she finally learned that she has to hide her feelings in front of the media? Agghhh I wish I knew what she was thinking!

Bold is mine- CA smirks and smiles at THE most inoppertune times. Just like at the Morgan Depos, she would smirk and smile like she had just really "Gotten" them (attorneys) when all she accomplished was making a spectacle out of herself. Her smirk and smile seems to please herself but when taken with past experiences on television interviews and such, it's a defensive mechinism she uses when she knows all is not well. Think back to the interview with Holly ?, Larry KL, and various others. CA smirk and smile sends the message to me that apparantly the SA or whoever was doing the questioning, got under her skin and CA went into smirk mode. It's a mask.JMO.

I'm sooooooo curious as to what this was about...especially since JB was there. It could have to do with anything at this point...there are so many motions out there...so many complaints.

My 4 yr old grandson uses the term "I very want" all the time,so in his words,I very want to know what was said today!

I, for one, do not see this as negative talk. I had no idea that there were dress code types of requirements for court, except maybe for the jailed. I knew that lawyers coached their clients about their appearance, but no, didn't know the rest. Thanks for making me aware.

I find it very interesting that Cindy was "escorted" by a member of law enforcement (huge badge hanging from her neck)! It seems to indicate that Cindy refused to comply with the subpoena that was served on her to come to the depo .... or else LE was instructed to personally take her there and stick to her side throughout ....

Wonder if George and Lee will also be escorted to their depo, by LE???

Maybe to hear what Cindy is going to say that may hurt/help Casey's case??
It just seems to me that "witnesses" should be able to be interviewed without the presence of the accused's counsel. Couldn't that somehow affect how questions were answered?

Maybe the officer who escorted her to the Courthouse showed up at her house with a summons and she had no time to dress for the occasion.

And .... why did Cindy need a subpoena to show up for a depo anyway?
Don't people usually just voluntarily attend a depo when it is scheduled for them?

Wonder if the State also had to subpoena George and Lee to get them into a depo?

I'm pretty sure that opposing counsel can be at any depo involving their case. IIRC, the SA had somebody observing at the few Depos that Baez has done.

I thought that the accused/defendant could even sit in on all depos ...IF they wanted to .....

YEAH, that is what trial is for, Casey and Baez shouldn't get to see their testimony UNLESS the SA plans to use it at trial! Unless, of course they are trying to postpone the release due to Sunshine Laws. IDK
