What a freak!!
Sorry but a man who plays with dolls on his own AND collects them is right up there with a man who has a bunch of cats! Huge turn off for me...

Ah well...variety is the spice of life... 
I'm not sure how having a bunch of cats means anything negative...(cat lover)...but I digress...
Luckily we (sorta) live in a land of free choices, so far, but not really, apparently....
Someday, hopefully, we will live in harmony and not get all upset about stuff that doesn't matter (and conversely, we will get upset about stuff that really matters!)...'
JMHO.
Wish I hadn't sold my Barbie dolls...and wish I had a male human to play dolls with...KWIM?

I take celeb gossip with a grain. It's all there for a purpose and a slant. Unless a celeb is murdered, then I take news seriously.
I think the article makes it clear the Barbies are used for role playing with daughter. Lindsey Lohan with ankle bracelet is a great way to teach children about drug use, dangers, and some consequences.
Even if Depp just likes the dolls, that is okay with me. (Admittedly, I am hoping for something darker, ha.) I live for meeting people with unusual quirks and their own individuality fully on display. It is what makes life pleasant, people interesting, and living in the U.S. a true freedom.
Let everyone "Fly Your Freak Flag High", lol.

What is wrong with being a bit eccentric? Nothing as far as I can tell.
Collecting Barbies (or whatever) doesn't hurt anyone.

I was gonna reply upthread to say a man who collects dolls (for whatever purpose) is right up there with one who takes to cats.
When I was a young female, any male who gave short shrift to my 2 cats was OFF my list.
For the past several decades, same male would have to make friendly with my GSDs, heh.
I love a guy who is man enough...

I am the same, 21 Jump Street......I had posters of him & Rob Lowe amongst my kiss posters.....I like him more because of his quirkiness and love the films and roles that he picks. Maybe he collects limited edition Barbies for an investment, but yep playing with them is a bit odd...but who cares.
He really seems like a nice guy that seems to get on with everybody......he's still my fave after all these years.

If Johnny Depp likes playing barbies with his daughter then he deserves KUDOS! It sounds like he is comfortable in his own skin. (I wish my father had sat down with me and played with Barbies when I was little! And I'm sure my mother would have appreciated him preoccupying me for awile.  )
I've always chalked JD's eccentricity up to being secretly shy. Just look at the movie roles he has accepted. Here is his Hotness' IMDB page......

The only thing that makes me slightly frown about Johnny Depp is his accent...it sounds slightly "affected" (as in fake, snobby)...
Hopefully he doesn't have wrinkly elbows.
