This is the sort of thing that causes victim's families to make the heartbreaking statements we hear so often about the injustices of such trials.

That would be because the prosecutor has an entire team working on the case, so if one drops out it is not a problem for another to take their place.

The defence on the other hand has far fewer people and no replacement already on the team.

So it is not a comparable situation. The resources available to the state are massive compared to that available to the defence. That is the reason why you are basically fried the moment the state decides to charge you, particularly if you are poor, it is very difficult to compete against that.

If the prosecutor was working by themself and had to drop out, the case would face a long delay until the replacement got up to speed (or more likely the charge would be dismissed).

Decatur County Sheriff brings in help for Holly Bobo case hearings:

"For the first time the three men charged in the Holly Bobo case will be under the same roof. Decatur county Sheriff Keith Byrd said he is beefing up security to make sure those men stay safe."*

So, it looks like this hearing hasn't been completely postponed because of the defense attorney's legal troubles. The defendants will at least appear in court tomorrow.

When reading up on Fletcher and his partner, I think Fletcher will be handling one of the Vanderbuilt rape guys while his partner waits out his 60 days violation. Supposedly, that's to be in January.

Hi Hi !!

It's been all over the news about the security.
Joseph Pleasant from wkrn channel 2 out of Nashville, messaged me back that they haven't determined yet if they will try ZA and JA separately yet either. He still didn't say anything about Shayne Austin.

Can't wait to read here tomorrow, I have to go out for the day with my mom so I will miss it!

District Attorney Matt Stowe has halted all Tennessee Bureau of Investigation crime services for all law enforcement agencies in the 24th Judicial District in which he serves, multiple sources have confirmed.

TBI spokesperson Susan Niland has confirmed TBI Director Mark Gwyn met Tuesday morning with heads of law enforcement agencies in Stowe's district but would not go into detail about what was discussed.

Sources who attended the meeting in Parsons tell WBBJ Gwyn announced that, at the decision of Stowe, TBI services no longer will be available for agencies in Stowe's judicial district effective immediately. All unprocessed evidence would be returned to the respective agencies, according to sources.

Just had to add this as well..........

The TBI is responsible for providing support to local law enforcement agencies in joint investigations at the request of the local district attorney, according to the bureau's website.

With this decision, expert testimony from the TBI no longer will be available for prosecuting cases in the district. State forensics services also will no longer be available for crime scene investigations.

Ladies and Gentleman,

I finally found something on Shayne Austin!

Luke Evans, Austin's attorney ........

Evans has re-initiated that his motion for the immunity agreement be heard. He also filed a motion to compel the deposition testimony of two TBI agents linked to the Bobo investigation.

"They have yet to produce any specific incident to support their allegation to prove that he has been untruthful," Evans said.

Evans said Austin is dealing with this ordeal as best he can.

"It's unfair that he has to worry about that every day, that he will be falsely arrested for something he didn't do," Evans said.

He is hoping it's all over soon so his client can get back to life.

"Unfortunately, this appears to be a witch hunt that Mr. Austin is on the receiving end of, and that's patently unfair," Evans said.

The immunity hearing was scheduled to be heard Dec. 2 in Decatur County, but that's no longer the case. A new date has not yet been set.

So ... on the eve of the big hearing scheduled for tomorrow in Decatur County, where the 3 defendants: Zach, Jason, and Dylan are scheduled to appear for Holly's kidnapping, rape and murder, this bombshell is dropped regarding the D.A.'s halting of TBI's crime services for all LE agencies in the 24th JDC ?

WHAT is going on ?

JMO but I would like to hear what The Bobo Family thinks about this !

Ive been reading about another murder case in the area that I first saw over there on topix, well they finally arrested someone, don't know if the TBI was involved in it....

But geeze Louise!!!! Think of the cost when they have to go to private companies... I wonder will that be a good thing or bad?

I know of another case, that it is taking the TBI months and I do mean months to do forensics on it.
