Family of Linnea Lomax seeks answers after tragic news
The day after Linnea Lomax's decomposed body was found along the American River following a 10 week search, her large extended family waited to learn how and why she died - and how her tragic end might help others.
Lomax, 19, had gone from a joyful, outgoing El Dorado High School student with a 4.1 GPA to a stressed, depressed U.C. Davis freshman contemplating suicide.

Linnea Lomax's body found near American River
A UC Davis student, who has been missing since late June, was found dead Friday morning.
Linnea Lomax, 19, was last seen on June 26 leaving an outpatient treatment facility on Howe Avenue.
Volunteers helping the Lomax family look for Linnea came across the decomposing remains in a riparian area of the American River in Glenn Hall Park, near Sacramento State, around 10:18 a.m.

UC Davis student remembered by friends
Friends of a missing UC Davis student gathered to reflect on her death after remains were discovered by searchers Friday.
The body of 19 Year Old Linnea Lomax was found near the American River in East Sacramento.
Lomax was well known for being heavily involved in her College Life Christian Fellowship group. Members of the group got together at a home in Dixon to pray and talk about what happened.
