New information is expected to be released today in the Susan Cox Powell investigation.

West Valley police have called a 3 p.m. news conference they say will involve "detailed updates" pertaining to the 3 ½-year-old case.

West Valley City police were set to offer "detailed updates" on an investigation that's been kept under wraps since Powell vanished in 2009. The news conference was set for 3 p.m. MDT Monday.

I figured I would actually watch the press conference and just post from that.
Ben Winslow does a pretty decent job. You'd probably be okay to just watch his. :seeya:

The case will remain open... if we received leads we will follow them.
We are going to release ALL of the investigative materials!
That means they aren't ever going to charge anyone.

Multiple local, state and federal LE agencies have assisted with this investigation.
The public in general has displayed a great interest and their support has been appreciated.
The media has also sought answers and supported our efforts.
We thank you for your support and at times, your assistance.

Susan is still missing. We don't know where she is or what happened to her.
This investigation will remain active so that additional information that comes forward can be investigated.

We've said from the beginning that more information would be released at a later time.
That day has arrived.

Early on, several things were sealed by the court.
As of today's date previously sealed documents have been unsealed... and the court has lifted the secrecy order.
