I am wondering if there is a link between Hilton and Godfrey or if Hilton was here at the time that Patty was murdered.
Any thoughts on this?

A hike in memory of Meredith Emerson is being held on Sunday morning at 10 at Meeks Park in Blairsville.

The hike was originally going to be at Blood Mountain, but was moved due to the overwhelming response to the hike.

Experts will be on hand to discuss trail safety. There will also be a Cherokee Smudging Ceremony in memory of Meredith at the event.

Investigators in three separate murder cases held a summit at the GBI's Cleveland office on Tuesday. Investigators from North Carolina and Florida were comparing their murder cases with the murder of Meredith Emerson in Georgia. Gary Michael Hilton is a suspect in all three cases. (more at link)

Those are GREAT finds, Suzi!!! The timeline does help to establish a bit where he was at different times...but we do know he could have traveled a lot during the end of 1995 until much later!! I wish we could narrow down exactly where he decided to roam.

It was the night GBI agents caught up with suspected kidnapper Gary Hilton while he was cleaning out his cluttered van that they filed a just-released search warrant, hoping to find something inside the van to link him to Emerson's disappearance.

The GBI already has said several people saw Hilton and Emerson talking on the trail, and reported that he was carrying a police-style baton.

In the warrant, the GBI said that other witnesses said they saw Hilton "hiding and crouching behind objects on the trail."

"I remember we commented on how nice it was that that old guy was helping look for Cheryl," she said.

Is it confirmed that this was a male? I'm having trouble keeping up with all the links. :)

Reason I ask, is that I have two friends that are female and their names are Shawn. I agree it is typically a name associated with males but can be both male or female (not unlike Morgan, Courtney, Lee and others). Just thinking out loud :)

Does anyone remember the name of the ex-gf? I'm thinking it wasn't Shawn, but who knows?
