That is what I have thought from the very beginning, because she was so afraid she was being followed and I automatically thought "hitman". However, I posted something to that effect and was scolded (sort of) so I tried to put it out of my mind. Anyway, we shall see.

I'm going to stick my neck out here a bit.....but, I really don't think a "hitman" would go to the trouble of following her around and scaring her. It would just be done. IMO, someone was trying to stress her over the edge. Either they did, or they got tired of waiting...or she was countering with something solid, detrimental and telling. JMO

I think it's definitely possible a hitman would follow someone around, especially if they were instructed to make it look like they were just missing. They would need to learn their habits, as well as neighbors, or other location, so they wouldn't get caught.

B/C B/S doesn't like publicity and why he is on leave with pay. I bet they leave that alone, or the last thing they check. He is an executive there after working for Humana.

BCBS is a huge company and would want to get to the bottom of it and I'd bet they may have already scanned his puter with their data base and turned over any phone records if asked. Your email at work is not private! It's not BCBS's fault GP is missing-- I suspect, if rumors are true that he was having an affair with a subordinate, that is the reason for his leave.....unless something more damaging was uncovered in the inquiry. IMO

Oh, wonderful.................sigh.....

Do you ever get the feeling Holly that msm just LOVES messin' with us????? Lol, JK!

Well I hope there is some validity to these statements because I was thinking that although it may not have been the LAST time, maybe it still happened and we were starting to fill in our timeline! Maybe Diane can weigh in on this last little tid bit. After all its already out there? Have you asked Jbean?

All due respect, I don't think that trip and that Saturday's activities were habitual. Your right tho, they wouldn't want to be connected...no chance of them being spotted following her around or snooping around the neighborhood. Said alleged hitman would have someone telling them her habits and location. There is the possibility someone could have been dropped off on Timesville Rd and accessed her vehicle/garage from the woods....just like in the Hobo case and I don't think the neighbors would have the view to have seen it imo

Nope. I figure JBean will tell us, if and when she can if she does have the info. :)

I have another question about communication on Signal Mountain. Many have said that cell service is spotty. Is comcast internet and satellite service spotty as well? Or is that only during storms? Does tha AL property have highspeed internet access?
TIA if anyone has this info.

If I were you , this is exactly what I would think.

I think this is a where possible rumor gets mixed with known facts. Has either of the above been in the MSM? I remember seeing in the comment section of an article that she had only left the children for 10 minutes before he arrived, but, I can't recall where the alibi of him being at his mother's was from. I do know know someone surmized it would be a 25 min. trip from her house to GP's.

Gail Palmgren's whereabouts are a mystery that has only been intensified by her
last conversation with her sister Diane, before Palmgren was last seen.
"She was nervous. She was anxious. She sounded scared," says Diane Nichols.
Palmgren wouldn't say why she was scared but the Nichols made out this much,
"She just thought she was being followed."It was a bizzare conversation and Diane
wonders if it's in any way connected to Gail's husband, Matthew Palmgren

Diane Nichols, Gail's sister, said traces on Gail Palmgren’s cellphone
directed police to an area near the north base of Signal Mountain.

No problem..Now I am going to ramble.. I've lived in Chattanooga for over 40 years and have relatives that live on Signal..We even attend Mass up there sometimes.. I know quite a few people who live up there. My children, who are now grown, dated guys who lived on Signal. My youngest even married someone who lived on Signal Mtn... We've been up there for Soccer games, tennis matches and swim meets but I never heard of St. Ives or Timesville until I started following this case...JMHO

Thank you for saying that, because I hadn't heard of either place and two of my best college friends grew up in Walden and I spent alot of time in the Fairmount Pike area. I had other friends who lived near the golf course, and another out on the bluff in Walden, but I just never heard of it.

With all due respect, you cannot compare TN with the mountain where many have landlines, (even the Palmgrens) it's what one has to do to have stable phone service. Many have telephone service as a bundle through fiber optics and comcast, it's cheaper with the landline included actually. JMHO
Signal Mountain is part of Tennessee last time I checked.

I live in East County and as I said, I do have landline so my service can be stable, and so do many others. But in recent years many of my neighbors have had to drop that service. My neighbors aren't that wealthy, and we have Centurytel out here and it's expensive. Most people choose to have their Internet through Comcast. I actually don't know anyone who has their phone bundled with their computer service.

But then, why would police leave the kids with MP if he is so dangerous?

In the case of Drew Peterson in Chicago, he had one wife murdered in the home (made to look like suicide) and one missing, but the kids stayed with him for years! He was even engaged to another woman who had kids while he was in prison - incredible.

Again, though, he was in law enforcement and that put up a smokescreen that made him look innocent for a long time.

Volunteers sign up to search for missing Signal woman

Friends of missing Signal Mountain woman Gail Palmgren hope to cross her home area off the list of places she could be.

About 40 volunteers turned out Saturday to show support for Palmgren and her family and sign up to search sections of the mountain today.

Just noted, not a big deal but to show how msm gets things wrong: that article says Gail is 33 years old. Isn't she 44?

Well, it's possible that whatever happened to Gail happened hours after she left the house, not minutes.

Basically, there is a huge chunk of time that we don't know anything about, starting from the time Gail left the house to the time people got worried about her.

My main questions: At what time on the 30th did people start to wonder when Gail was missing? When did Diane get worried, when did Susie get worried?

We know Matt's story, that Gail left the house, Matt arrived and found the kids there alone. Then what did Matt do? Did he stay home with the kids? Did he take the kids to his mom's and go somewhere else? Did he call her? Did he meet Gail at another location later on the 30th?

bolded by me.

You are so right! :doh:That chunk of time is crucial to solving this case. They've got to interview those kids....

Comcast is cable/internet/phone and it RARELY went out. Unless it was a company wide thing, trees falling on the lines or someone wrecking and hitting a pole were the only main reasons the cable ever went out.

Satellite seems to be extremely spotty when it's cloudy and almost always goes out in storms.

EPB now has fiber optic service, but I have no experience with it.

there has been a lot of interest in ebp fiber optic service up here since they put it in. we personally don't choose to have cable (or a landline) so for us to switch and do a "bundle" it would be more. i know many on the mtn that don't have landlines, especially those that have moved here in the past few years. those that are longtimers probably still have the concern of spotty service. but MY experience has been that it has not only improved in the past couple of years but so much so that i have not lost a call (and i talk A LOT on my phone) ever except on robert's mill road. and i don't take that enough for it to be a problem. now that is verizon and many here say you "have" to have verizon if you live on signal. i know many that have at&t also tho.

my point is simply that tho i'm no expert i can't see that there is any reason for "spotty" service to have any impact on this case. feel free to correct me tho.
