Gitana, I agree with everything you said. This is so perplexing!!! However, he is a Lt., not the chief.

But wait...if LE spoke to the people in that video, and asked them : is this you walking by the Office Max area, wouldn't one of them have said that they were there on Saturday night ???

And so the guy in the shadows was actually hanging out there after Isabel was taken ?

But...wouldn't there have been a LE presence in that area ? So close to the Celis' house, so soon after she vanished ?
I smell a rat here...

-Friday video- wanted talk to 5 people from video.. Id 3 of 5.. Video captured a completely different day?!?!!!!! Wtf?? Actually was Saturday/Sunday.. The company Passed along incorrect information.. Cleared it up and getting correct video now..

-Verifying statements other than that we'll continue our briefings at 2pm daily..

-Video actually shot early morning hours of Sunday April 22.. 24 hours later than they thought it to be..

-It's somewhere they have to find it and we have to review it(video)..

-(wrong video) I dont consider it a waste of time..

-What is the Frequency and dialogue with the parents daily?
Speak with fam on daily basis .. Meet with them routinely.. He met with them yesterday 3pm.. He spoke to them about speaking to the media.. We are waiting to hear back from them.. They continue to cooperate and we are in constant communication with them..

-We believe that it is important for the family to speak to the media.. We have made that known.. Whether they choose to or not is up to them..

-They expressed interest in providing more media interviews.. They were going to decide which ones they wanted to do a one on one with and now we're just waiting..nothing else I can do

-Emotional state.. Family are concerned and I can't speculate to what theyre thinking.. Theyre Working with us and answering some of our questions(stood out to me.. WHY SOME?)

Hoping they will speak to you so u can judge for yourself.. I can tell you they show a level of concern..

-Meet with both parents at the briefings.. Other individuals.. We will not comment on any others that are present at meetings..

-Our agency and US Marshalls are who decided to involve Mexico that document with photo is Isa was dated 4/23..

-TPD always told the parents to speak to media.. And it is absolutely inaccurate that we ever told them NOT TO SPEAK WITH MEDIA..

-Public? Keep info flow of tips coming to us.. Important to continue volunteers fliers help.

-Is case related to 3 girls assaulted overnight.. Our LE are working with he PCSD.. Understand that is a different agency.

-Another reason we need the parents to speak with you.. A lot of questions can be cleared up and answered by the parents

Are tips slowing down? no.. Saturday 8-10tips coming in per hour(88 crime)

-No specific searches planned like were done in earlier part of investigation.

Thanks, Smooth. This does make it seem they are very interested in the parents. Why would LE think it is a good idea to have the parents answer questions if LE itself won't tell us a thing? Only reason I can think of is they want those answers too or want to gauge their demeanor.
 
As our local Anita just posted, it is not just police, but reporters missing from the video. Cooper would have been full of cars Saturday night, as well. They had the whole neighborhood taped off with squad cars guarding.
We can see this on videos from Saturday and Sunday.

The command center was in the triangle area bordered by the Party City building, the Office Max and the Celis home. The mysterious figure was behind the Office Max. (Not to be nitpicky, just to clarify.)

This does NOT make sense.

Not if it is in the best interest of Isabel...I would keep quiet ( and did ) as well. However, LE let this "cat out of the bag" why? :banghead:
 
How could they have not verified the date and time of the video? I'm not confident that they'll get the "right" one. ???

I'm hanging on to hope but this blow makes it hard.

I can tell you they show a level of concern.. WTF!?! Only "a level of concern" for their missing six-year-old child? "A level of concern" about doing media appearances? "A level of concern" about their interviews with LE? Sounds fishy to me. Something just isn't right with this situation. :moo:

Surely they have watched it even if they didn't realize it was Friday's video. Maybe they thought it was Thursday's for example but still I would think they would have watched any video available and they just have to get the dates right now.
 
I am quite shocked that PD released a video in the public domain without confirming themselves the time/date:eek:

This will sound really bad but I have to ask.

Is it normal for LE to come straight out in a press conference and admit they messed up?

Okay, then we have conflicting stories. Two other locals described this area to include the yellow tape.

It would seem that he person who were on the video and have come forward could verify the day and time, unless they walk that route nightly.
 
My first thought when the Lt. said it was from the wrong night was that he was lying to take speculation off the 6th man in the video. Especially since he kept saying the video was from Saturday the 21st, which is the day it should be from if they're looking at video shot at 1:30 in the morning.

But the more he rambled on about it and kept mixing up the dates, the more I thought maybe they did get video from the wrong night. I didn't really get a sense of urgency from him about getting the video from the correct night, though.
 
12th street was closed completely. There should have been evidence of media and police on Cooper and side street to Celis home IMO
 
For me, the bubble burst when I heard they put up the wrong video and then they talked about the darn video for a couple of days.

All the work done by WS members pin-pointing everything to the exact spot and POOF, wrong friggin video. :banghead:

You'd think so...maybe this was part of the delay in the 5 coming forward. They knew they didn't walk there on Friday night, it was actually Saturday.
It's discouraging.
 
Too bad that tonight's Nancy Grace show is already in the can. She would have one huge bombshell regarding the wrong video :floorlaugh:
