The phones being gone is interesting. I can't imagine an intruder would take them plus a baby ? Unless is was a stone meth head. And in that case he/she would have been careless enough to be caught fairly quickly...

And I don't buy that the phones were taken to stop anyone from calling 911. They could have had a landline.Could have had more cell phones etc.

I do not think the parents threw the phones into the back garden area either. I believe that both parents understood that messages and calls can be retrieved from the cell company. After all, mom knew enough to know how to "re-program ' her phone which was broken.

Someone throwing the phones in the back garden, or flushing them down the toilet ? It is childlike. Magical thinking. "If there are no phones,no one can call 911,or find out what I did "... MOO

I don't know why but this cat gives me the shivers. Somethings just off to me that this cat is found this day. A kitten could be a great wat to keep a boys attention. Keep the boy occupied.? imo

oh, that's good... but, do you really think the Irwin's are that smart to think of a distraction...??

Not that it's relevant to where Lisa is, however I'm just curious what has happened to the kitten now. Just a cat lover hoping the kitten is being cared for!

:heartluv:

And the lab mix doggie...did they get someone to care for either?

Could the stray kitten some how play into this, if it were a stranger abduction? Don't ask me how...I haven't thought it out that far yet! Just noting the coincidence...stray kitten shows up that day, infant daughter disappears that night...

I had the same thought. When I was a child many, many years ago, the only "stranger danger" type message I got from my parents was "do not accept candy from strangers" which, my parents expanded to add kittens and dogs and any other little baby critters, because they knew how much I loved animals.

OT....So now I am sitting here all grown up typing this with 4 cats and 2 dogs in the house and 5 chickens and 4 goats in the back yard. I guess some things never change.

Noting for reference. This is the video where Debbie says, "I couldn't fill in gaps"

Good Morning America Fri Oct 7

If the boys were sick, maybe they had been given Nyquil. Maybe that's why they slept so good. I'm not sure if I can ask this question, but I'm assuming school has started in KC. And I'm assuming the boys go to school. What did mom and baby do while the boys were at school?

Every kitten I have had would be curious if someone were in the house to go investigate. On the other hand my cats would sleep right through it.

I do realize all that. I was just pointing out to the OP that a person with a task like that probably isn't going to pick up kittens.

I edited my post for clarity. I was agreeing with you and expanding on the kitten dumpster idea and why it doesn't track for me either.

They should check all of the casino's security cameras. I would imagine if anything had come up they would have reported it but best to check.

I hope they will check all the video cameras at surrounding intersections to see who was on the road that night in a vehicle. I know that would be a lot of viewing, but it should be done.

None of the phone story makes any sense to me including the story where Deborah asked her father for his old phone (the day before Lisa disappeared) because hers was having "issues". It is all hinky.

Why would that be hinky??? Cell phones break or problems all the time. I don't find that hinky at all.

Lisa had to have been taken away from the house on foot (carried) at least initially, why no scent? Are dogs not helpful when leading from the home of the missing? Too many scents to follow from daily activities? I guess I always count on dogs too much but there seems to be a lot that can't be determined. (I know there is always the right kind of dog, right kind of training debate...) Anyway, JMO.

Cadaver dogs and tracking dogs work differently.
For tracking dogs, the more humid the climate the longer the scent lasts. The scent is actually skin cells we all shed as we move through an area. The wind or air current also plays a role where the skin cells land. A handler always takes the air current into account as they track.

If baby Lisa was shaken or smothered ,then quickly bagged,I'm not sure there would be much to hit on for either type of dog,but I'm far from being experienced ,so it's just a guess.

Wait a minute! It just dawned on me, as I was taking bison burgers out of the freezer to put on the grill; you like El Rancho's salsa :hot: but you are afraid to try elk/bison. ;)

LOL, I know right! I am very white bread when it comes to trying new things.

However, give me a good salsa and I'll eat it all day long! :great:

And the lab mix doggie...did they get someone to care for either?

If it's anything like our Lab it's taken the house over and is sitting in the recliner with the remote and a beer.

I think I have made myself perfectly clear-- I find nothing odd about waking your SO if you come home to a house full of lights, ESPECIALLY if there are children in the home.

ETA-- I am finished with the subject. It does no good to harp on it.

Dave, my husband said the same thing. He would wake me up and ask why all the lights on.

Re: kitty.

Is this the only cat in the house? Did Bradley or dad go out earlier and get cat litter, food, toys? I've adopted 2 kittens and they were not in my bed the first night. They were in a small area with cat food and litter. I had to crate my 2nd cat because she was so tiny I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find her.

Wasn't she bothered about the cat having an accident in her bed? Did kitty really sleep from 10:30 - 4:00 without having to relieve itself or eat? Not in my experience. I usually slept with one eye open those first nights. If my son was also sick at the time, you can pretty much guarantee that I would be up (but that's just me). I never sleep when he's not well (again, just me).

I probably shouldn't be harping about a silly cat, but that stood out to me. Now if it's an older litter trained cat, I would pay no mind.

Is mom saying she was alseep from 10:30 - 4:00? Did she get up during that time at all? It's hard to imagine with a new kitty, a sick 10 month old in another room, and a 6 year old in your bed.

Thanks and MOO

Mel
I have never seen if there is another cat or not?? Of course, I didn't realize until last night that they had a dog :waitasec:

A woman who faked pregnancy is not going to want a baby that is almost a year old, considering it wouldn't be possible to pass that baby as a newborn.

Except in the earlier dialogue here on that topic, it was in relation to the hypothetical woman's spouse/baby father being deployed in the military and due home soon.

:)

I think come Monday morning LE is going to go to a judge and request a search warrant for a home they have not yet been allowed access to. I believe they have probably interviewed the person(s) living in the home but were not allowed access to the inside of the home.

There are some things happening that give me this feeling.

1. The reenactment of breaking in through the window. It wasn't just done to see if it was possible to go through the window. It was done several times, using various methods with video being taken of it both inside and out. It was done to see what obstacles/objects would be disturbed inside the home and what part of the body would touch those obstacles.

1a. It's possible they have interviewed someone who has a visible bruise, scratch or small cut on their body and LE has noted it and is trying to determine if it could have come from entering the house through the window (hence the reenactment).

2. Cell phones may have continued to ping in the area and metal detectors are being used to completely clear the family's yard. Are these phones located in a neighbors house they haven't been allowed to search?

3. There may be something missing from whoever they suspect, a piercing, a metal button on a piece of clothing they were wearing, a snap, or a metal ring/clasp from shoes or boots etc. (I did see a quick video on the local iowa news this morning that showed someone from LE holding a plastic sealed specimen cup like you would give a urine sample in..they would hold the metal detector over the sealed cup and it would beep, they moved it away and the beeping would stop...they repeated the process several times before they placed the cup in the evidence van. The cup looked empty but there had to be something in it to cause the medal detector to beep.)

The weekend is being used to get all their ducks in a row before taking it before a judge.

Just kind of the vibe I am picking up from what has happened during the weekend. I also think this might be why the parents started to talk to LE again because the focus is on someone else now. Also might be why the parents are steering away from the media for a bit, so they do not say something they shouldn't on accident.

Once again, just my opinion.
