Among the potential evidence was a hood similar to that seen by a victim of The Zodiac, and a knife that may still have blood stains from a victim. The hood was examined and found to be made of materials which could potentially pre-date 1962 as the newest product was thread which began manufacture in 1961, meaning the hood could not have been made before 1961. Dennis Kaufman, Jack's stepson, made some similar copies of the hood which probably wasn't the smartest idea as it then raised doubts as to the authenticity of the original, but Jack seems to indicate, indirectly, he is in fact The Zodiak, on tape if you listen carefully, chuckling and saying "Why would you put that 'I think' on there?" Jack Tarrance is listed Zodiak suspect #2 on AMW. I'd say that makes him a compelling contender until further notice from the FBI who has not been able to rule out the possibility since learning of his potential involvement. That says something.

And while it will not be heard in the newscast link above, on that same recording, if you listen to the whole thing, Jack says it began before he joined the military. If so, that would pre-date known victims of the Zodiac. I won't even go into the cases, in which he may have played a hand, as you would never believe it until you start checking things out for yourself. Let the chips fall where they may.

I have been searching for this girl since 1998. I found some things that I don't know if anyone got the information. Yes it was a cult and yes it was a horrible place. I am a former bit of a Wicca follower & psychic and I am understand more & more of what went on in the place when Rose was there. I emailed some of the former people who were at the Synanon, some good & some bad memories including the nightmares they still have from the place. One of the men, I talked with though email & on the phone in 2008, he was beaten severely when before he left the place in 1974, I asked if he knew a Rose and he said yes, but he also remembered a girl named Beth, they treated her badly and then he said he didn't see her after, he also left a few days later and moved to Canada, he still had the nightmares. I asked him about this Underground railroad, at first he said he didn't want to talk about it, I said please? He said when he was sent there and horrible things happened there, I said like what? His exact words were "The smell of death". After I got off the phone with him, I went searching and is still searching. I tried to call him back in 2010 & his phone was disconnected!! Strange. I also tried emailing him and those went unanswered to this day.

Yep...me too. Matter of fact I think we found her a long time ago and she got tired of being contacted by several of us. Around the same time Rose's family vanished from WS and the case went cold again...Kind of a strange coincidence.
