Mother: Slain daughter more than 'victim' (San Antonio Express-News)
When the massive Colorado Springs wildfires broke out in young journalist Jessica Ghawi's newly adopted state last month, the 24-year-old couldn't bear to stand by and watch families suffer.

Although still more of a student than a seasoned broadcasting pro — and although she had no experience in starting or operating a nonprofit — the San Antonio native went to work immediately, collecting sporting goods from colleagues and friends for a charity she planned to call “Little Things.”

Veronica Moser-Sullivan, 6. She is the youngest to die in the shooting. Moser's aunt told the AP that the girl's mother, Ashley Moser, 25, is in critical condition with a bullet in the throat and abdomen. ABC News confirmed Sunday that Ashley Moser was pregnant when she was shot. It was not known whether the shooting affected her pregnancy.
 
This is all so terribly sad and tragic, and for nothing -for a mad senseless act. My heart goes out to the victims' loved ones.

You'll have to scroll down because it goes throught the court deal this morning and other stuff. It also shows a pic of Verionica's father in sun glasses going into the courtroom. He looks very distraught, I don't think I could have gone before him to see that monster's face if that happened to me.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. — With their anger and tears stirred by the sight of James Holmes in a courtroom with red hair and glassy eyes, the families of those killed in the Colorado theater massacre now must go home to plan their final goodbyes.

Tom Teves' stare bore into Holmes as the 24-year-old former graduate student sat as though in a daze during his court appearance Monday. Teves' son was one of the 12 people Holmes is accused of killing after Alex Teves dove to protect his girlfriend in the shooting early Friday.

Another 58 were wounded, including seven critically, when a gunman opened fire at a midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" in nearby Aurora...
