Indeed.

There was a case (I can't remember the victims' names, sorry!) where they found a missing woman (not a prostitute) buried at the same location where a prostitute had also been buried.
 
On September 19, 1995, this Jane Doe's torso was found on the sorting line of a recycling center in Las Vegas. LE came in and searched through the debris, and found her head and arms, then her legs in a suitcase.

ANAHEIM – An autopsy has confirmed that a 21-year-old woman whose body was found at a recycling plant was the victim of foul play, police said Tuesday, as investigators continue to retrace her last day in an area known for prostitution.

Anaheim police declined to specify the exact manner of Jarrae Nykkole Estepp’s death but confirmed that they are comparing notes with detectives in nearby cities to see if there are any links to other suspected crimes that may have involved prostitution, including a woman whose body was found on the shore in Newport Beach last year and the disappearance of several women from Santa Ana.

I used to live in and around the area of Beach and Ball when I was kid into my teenage years in the1970s-80s were Jarrae Estepp went missing I remember there was a "Billiards" on one of the corners of this intersection on ball road and a Head Shop next to the H-Salt Fish-N-Chips on Beach Boulavard. Here's a couple of cases that could be connected.Diane Francis Gurule went missing from "Varsity Billiards" on 9/25/85 in Norwalk. Her body was found in a parking lot of an industrial area in "Garden Grove". http://www.ci.garden-grove.ca.us/police/Unsolved/1985/Gurule Nikki Ann Trollinger went missing from Garden Grove on 9/28/85 she was known to work as a prostitute I wonder if she could have been hanging out at this Billiards on ball Road when she went missing they have such close missing dates Diane on 9/25/85 and Nikki on 9/28/85. Thank you so much for the link, Nancy. I have a sinking feeling that because these women are/have been prostitutes, as afar as I can tell, LE is not doing all it can to solve their cases.

I wish we could make a map with all the women in the article and the other ones that we know about from earlier years. Like Rebecca Callahan from Garden Grove in what, 2002? And here's another one. I too, have a bad feeling about how much investigation will be done in these cases.

The woman who was discovered off Ortega Highway still has not been identified as far as I know.
 
Serial killers linked to 3 murders in Santa Ana, 1 in Anaheim

Two Anaheim transients have been arrested in connection to the murders of four women across Orange County, following a joint investigation by Anaheim and Santa Ana police.

Franc Cano, 27, was arrested on the 5100 block of East La Palma Avenue in Anaheim around 6:05 p.m. Friday. Steven Dean Gordon, 45, was arrested shortly after.

Wonder if they're going to check on these:

Michelle Lozano, 17, was kidnapped from Lincoln High School in April 2011. Her nude body was discovered dumped the next day on the 5 Freeway near the Los Angeles Cesar Chavez Avenue exit.

In January 2012, 22-year-old Bree'Anna Guzman, a mother of two, was discovered dead near the 5 and 2 Freeway interchange a month after being reported missing.

A few hours before midnight on March 13, prosecutors say, Steve Gordon and Franc Cano debated whether to kill another prostitute.

Her name was Jarrae Estepp – a 21-year-old mother from Oklahoma who stepped off a Greyhound bus earlier that day. Gordon and Cano dubbed her “Cat” or “Kitty.”

According to court documents released Monday, Gordon sent Cano a series of text messages arguing that he couldn’t hurt Estepp. He was timid, he wrote, and she was “beautiful.”

Steven Dean Gordon was convicted in 2017 of the murders of four women;
Martha Anaya, Josephine Vargas, Jerrae Nykkole Estepp and Kianna Jackson. He was sentenced to death.

I cannot find out what happened to his partner in murder, Franc Cano, who was also charged with special circumstances and eligible for the death penalty. I can't find anything online about a trial or a verdict.

I dont think hes been convicted yet. Gordon pled i think, and cano was taking it to the box.

also, they are suspected of doing the same to sable pickett
