Just Saying.....I LIVE in AZ and so proud to have a vey smart and passionate prosecuting attorney like Martinez to keep <mod snip> on their toes for the rest of us who are law abiding and pay our taxes.

You are, indeed, blessed.

So agree katie...Loved love, how JM went after witness and put her in her place at the beginning and than let the show begin....Loved him throwing them all off with the Snow White thing, but I believe there is more to this, I wonder if he is going to bring out the picture that Jodi drew of Snow White with the black eye, I find that interesting, I don't know when she drew that but I believe it was before the trial started...

Also, when watching yesterday on the feeds from youtube, there is one posted by Croakerqueen123 when the incident with Samantha happened, her feed shows all leaving courtroom and than juror 5 and than the camera pans out and you see Samantha with Detective Flores talking to her, and I believe that is you and possibly Pasa? sitting behind her, it looks like this had just happened and Det Flores is talking to her about it.
Also, there are other feeds on you tube for day 41 that show some interesting things in the courtroom after court adjourns, specifically juror 5, but what got me was when Jodi obviously was watching jurors leave and she would look at Juror 5 than at the jurors as if to see if any were making contact with each other, and than at the very end, she looks at juror 5 smiles/smirks turns toward camera kind of laughing as if saying jokes on you...I don't very evil!!

Also ALV walking thru the rehearsed June 4 day story, and Jodi was trying to act upset as if on cue, she was studying the jury and looking at them during that whole part as if to try to connect, She knows there not buying it and I believe she knows she's in trouble, so now studying anything and everybody to get that mistrial!!!!!

You are good to get all that....yes I do believe this is what she really means by NO jury will convict her like she said to Inside Edition. She will intimidate and proceed to a mistrial. Evilness in the flesh...would she kill again? That is what my question is?

Ok I just taped this off my tv with my iphone and let's see if it works here. ;)

Oh, wow! You did GREAT! I'm glad I got to actually hear your voice! The Alexanders are so blessed to have you doing this for them, but, most of all, being there with them in court day after day. You're definitely a light! Keep shining! :great:

**THANK YOU FOR BEING AN ADVOCATE AND SHARING WITH US ALL TOO!**

You are my new hero, I am so glad you are there to support his family, great job!!

I think Karma got scared that AVL got Juan so ticked he literally asked if she wanted to spar with him so Karma knocked her down a peg or two very quickly. And so should it. This is a trial. She should have remembered that everything she does concerning her "field" could be brought into question by the man speaking for the victim. She took his questions and treated him as if he was some fool. Her mask slipped off and her blatant hate of powerful men took over.

I can't wait until Monday and I am so excited for you trial watchers. You are so lucky to be able to see this in person. Maybe bring Juan some more candies becuase they sure seemed to give him that zap he needed! I wonder if he had some in his pocket. "Power chocolates" :doorhide:

Side Note: If Juan Martinez asked if I wanted to spar with him I would literally tinkle myself. Right then and there. I love him. I know he is a down to earth, teddy bear, who is a fun and really great guy....as long as do not become his target by slaughtering anyone. Don't do that!

Over the years, one of the biggest fights in the domestic violence arena has centered around the credibility of its victims who are very often - but are by no means exclusively - women. Over the years thoughtful, credible and experienced experts have fought hard to bring legitimacy to the voices of the victims of domestic abuse. In just a few days, Alyce LaViolette - in her spirited, phoney and money-grubbing defense of a liar and a murderer - destroyed so much of the progress made on behalf of vulnerable women (and men) everywhere. There is nothing, NOTHING she can ever do or say that will redeem her shameful performance on behalf of Jodi Arias and her own financial bottom line. My sincere hope is that she is never again given the opportunity to exploit vulnerable women and men for her own financial gain.

Thanks. I think JM is a great prosecutor and he will win this case. For Travis.

I don't think the "gets results" had anything to do with the verdict. Results are how he is able to turn witnesses' testimony around to answering more truthfully in terms of facts and what the evidence shows. jmo

Exactly. Yet I do believe he will win this case and the results will be awesome.

I thought the TH's were pretty unfair to Martinez yesterday. He did not come out blazing. He started out very calm with her asking reasonable questions about her credentials. She got very testy right away and that's when the gloves came off. Her condescending nature was a huge turn off. And the Snow White makes perfect sense. I thought it was brilliant. The only reason it dragged is because she wouldn't answer honestly. Of course, the cross has just begun and they need to see where it goes. I don't know why no one ever criticizes the DT though. They spend days and days and days questioning their witness to basically say the same thing over and over again. Martinez' questioning is not linear and it usually goes somewhere. We all wondered where he was going with the gas can stuff and then BOOM! She lied on the stand. To your faces jury.

I understand why Eiglarsh is so critical, though. He's a law professor. He teaches law 101 and probably has a simple style. Also, I think he really wants Martinez to win and is appalled at the nature of the crime and the antics of the DT and doesn't want to see him lose because of his demeanor. I laughed yesterday when his attitude was kind of like, "really? What am I doing here? We're going to talk about Jodi's hair?" And when Drew's replacement only asked Katie one question, what she thought of Jodi's hair, he just got this seriously? look on his face and said, "that's it?" I still love him. I love that he's the co-host this week.

Mark is adorable and easy on the eyes. :blushing: However, I am a very loyal fan of JM. Don't like him being criticized when he is fighting for justice for Travis and his family. Don't like it at all.

I thought JS could have been a little more commanding in her admonition to the gallery. "If you don't mind, please consider not laughing in the courtroom. Or not. Whatever."

More like "Ladies and gentlemen you are reminded that this is a court of law and not a sporting event. If you cannot conduct yourselves as such please exit the courtroom or you will be escorted out." She is definitely not a tiger of a justice. :cat:

p.s.
Love your quote line

At one point yesterday it sure looked like she was texting!:twocents:

Everything she does is monitored. I don't see how that would be allowed after her little incident with the magazines. jmo

I brought this over from the daily thread. It was an excellent read on the DV subject.

And a many taxes you are a payin' for this trash to be defended.
So very true....so maybe that is why the jails are not as nice here as they are well lets say in Canada! TENT city baby....hahaha I love me a Sheriff Joe too :)And Oh my a few years ago was able to take a tour of death Row in Florence, AZ for a college class:...holy smoke that was some unholy hell!
:jail:

So this TH on HLN is talking about the visitors Jodi has had while in jail. They mention that a producer from Dr. Phil, who used to be at HLN, has visited her 3 times this year. She then ask in a snarky tone " If it is Dr. Phil reps going to see her can there be an exchange of money?" And Joey says well they may have hidden discussions about getting the first interview ect. He goes on to discuss the Son of Sam laws. As if HLN is not all about making money off of Jodi Arias.

over at the mental health and criminal justice blog there is a good article on alyce:

http://kristinarandle.com/blog/jodi...ess-alyce-laviolette-under-scrutiny/#comments

and there is another one about a woman acquitted of killing her husband:

http://kristinarandle.com/blog/alaskan-woman-acquitted-of-killing-husband-as-he-slept/

ALASKAN WOMAN ACQUITTED OF KILLING HUSBAND AS HE SLEPT
In the context of the Jodi Arias case, this story is interesting.

An Alaskan woman, Lisa Donlon, was recently acquitted of shooting and killing her husband as he slept. Lisa alleged that he held her against her will and tortured her for three days. Lisa admits to shooting him six times, once in the head and five times in the back. She then called 911 to report the shooting.

The defense argued that Mr. Donlon raped and tortured his wife for three days, holding her hostage in a 20×20 cabin deep in the Alaskan wilderness.

There were medical records that showed evidence of “scrapes and bruises” but no evidence of the torturing. A nurse, however, testified that Lisa’s injuries were “pattern injuries” meaning that they reflected what she said happened. For instance, Lisa said that she was beaten with a belt and her injuries were consistent with her claims.

Older evidence also supported her domestic violence claims. She had obtained a restraining order against her husband in 1995. At the time of the restraining order, there was evidence that she had sustained injuries from him. According to the restraining order, he was upset about their potential divorce, packed his belongings, including two loaded guns and was attempting to force her to call the police because he wanted to be shot by police officers (“suicide by cop”).

The restraining order (which he was charged with violating) also noted that he had pointed a gun at her chest, forced her out of their home when she was nude (her sons witnessed this event) and choked her until she became unconscious.

“I’m afraid now to face my husband before our divorce process is over. I have a feeling that he would use his guns easily and I don’t want to create any situation that would trigger that,” she wrote in the restraining order.

Initially the grand jury declined to indict the Alaskan woman but did eventually after prosecutors presented them with new evidence.

Her lawyers argued that she was a victim of domestic violence and that shooting her husband was justified.

In the Donlon case, there was evidence of domestic violence. There was a restraining order, violations of the restraining order by her husband, documented injuries by doctors, testimony of healthcare workers who could verify her injuries, and witnesses to at least one incident of abuse.

Alternatively, in the Jodi Arias case, there are no witnesses to abuse. No documented injuries by doctors, healthcare workers or police. No reports of abuse in her journals. No evidence that Jodi ever feared Travis. No restraining order. No calls to the police. There is not one piece of corroborating evidence to support any claim of abuse.

Between these two cases, you be the judge as to which one seems like the true domestic violence case.

KCL or PASA -
Do you ladies (or anyone else!) know what it was that the judge was going to speak to ALV about after court? Juan reminded the judge just before the feed ended.

Thanks for all you do - LOVE all of your insider notes and information and I really appreciate the time you all take to keep us all in the loop. :)
