According to the article, prostitution is legal in Germany. Women aged 55 and under may lose unemployment benefits for turning down brothel jobs. Madams and pimps are recruiting through the unemployment offices. Sounds like they all have quite a racket going on. I'm so glad I don't live there.

I just read the article and it's the most ridiculous thing I've heard (today). Wouldn't this be considered similar to sex slavery. I mean they would be forcing her into the sex industry. She may get paid but I still see it as the same.

I took note that the article was dated 30 Jan 2005.

I did a search to see if there were any updates and found that snopes.com has deemed it a hoax.

I'm sorry I posted a hoax. I was so outraged and didn't even think to check it out. It's good it's not true though.

I was like when I read the article too. What made me look at the date on the article was we lived in Germany from 03/1993 to 06/1997. I wondered what in the world had happened from 1997-2005! LOL

It was a wonderful experience to have lived there, but I can honestly say after giving birth to two children there, socialized health care is an abomination LOL!
