Found Deceased UT - Robert Spoon, 33, Jason, 33, & Jacob Tilt, 29, Vernal, 22 May 2017

VERNAL, Utah (ABC4 News) - Police in Vernal have issued a missing persons report for three men who have not been seen or heard from since last Monday.

Assistant Vernal Police Chief Keith Campbell said the families of 33-year-old Robert Alan Spoon, 33-year-old Jason Ralph Tilt, and 29 year old Jacob Douglas Tilt grew concerned after not being able to reach the trio by cell phone. It is not known if their phones have been turned off or the batteries have died but it is not typical for the men to go this long without contacting anyone.

They were last seen Monday evening in a black 2004 Chevrolet Silverado with a temporary tag.

Their families said they suspect the men might have turned off their cellphones or their phone batteries may have died.

A search of areas in the Uinta Basin and contact with known associates has not produced any leads, the release said.

The men are identified as 33-year-old Robert Alan Spoon, 33-year-old Jason Ralph Tilt and 29-year-old Jacob Douglas Tilt. Family members have posted information posters with photos of the men, see the gallery above for those images.

No clue as to what plans they had or where they were going? Did they pack luggage? I mean, come on, there has to be more information other than they are missing. Someone has to know what they were going to do.

"They were actually at my dad's house barbecuing and they were supposedly going home," said Josey Bourdeau, sister of Robert Spoon.

After that, her brother Robert Spoon vanished along with the Tilt brothers.

"I was concerned like Tuesday when I hadn't heard from him," she said. "But we gave them a couple of days and we called it in and reported it on Wednesday."

Monday, the family said Uintah County search and rescue focused on the Green River that runs near Vernal. This after spotting vehicle parts along the river bank.
"They found a car part but they're not sure if it went to the truck," said Bourdeau.
