Oklahoma has 28 unclaimed bodies in storage. Eighteen from this year alone.

The medical examiner needs to put information out like, male or female, color of hair, age, what the deceased was wearing, etc.

How can families see if any of them are their loved ones, if there's no where to look?

So, sophisticated Canadian chip trials here show that 2 ill-behaved shepherds paid zero attention to the two sealed foil bags of Hostess (not "chippy" ;))chips ... other than a "hey, what's that?" when the bags were placed on the floor of their sleeping quarters.

They did however wipe out the cat's food once again while my back was turned.

Chiming in here briefy for yet more stress relief, which is somewhat sad now that I think of it.

silly, your shepherds must not be related to mine. Although cat food sends us down an entirely different test run variable.

Please correct and reduce variables in your experiment with an OPEN bag of chips, and please make certain you starve your ill-behaved furry ones for several days first.

I think Canada has almost identical animal protection laws as the US. So disclaimer for PETA and the ASPCA: no one is ACTUALLY starving their dogs in this fake experiment. It is all pure speculation.

My second excursion into the sortes Virgilianae à la "Good Book" (see above) produces I Samuel 31:13....

And they took their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

Jabesh is a.k.a. the ancient town Jabesh-Gilead; we may know the latter name from the phrase "balm of Gilead," made from the gum of a balsam poplar - a North American tree.

So now we're getting someplace! I'm sure there are poplars in the San Bois. Perhaps.

If only we had the "Psychic Dreams/Visions/sortes Virgilianae" thread up and running.

Thanks Oriah for the info the keys weren't locked in the truck; didn't think they were, but feared I was misremembering what perhaps I had misread in the first place.

wfgodot, please research trees in Oklahoma and whether or not they might be balsam poplar.
In the meantime, I cannot resist posting this link that my quick search brought up: http://www.ossm.edu/biology/plantcom.htm

Those with the black humor going on among us will appreciate the irony.
Am I to understand that the dominant plant species in Oklahoma are....weeds?

I have, Oriah!

I just don't understand it. They keep asking for help, but keep everything a secret!

Well, Namus I think is really more of a flooded issue. The ME's....*sigh.*
I would like to say everyone is overworked and underpaid and have a lot of their plate etc etc because all it takes is a simple entry and why not make it easy. Because that's the truth. But I do not know why it is so difficult in Oklahoma.

Check NCIC.

"Mr. Big" says, "Good supply of weed here in Oklahoma. Texas is right close."

Oh, wait - weeds. My bad. Yes, we are a weedy tribe here, loving to adorn junked cars in the front yard with a variety of hardy-growing perennials.

I also googled "Oklahoma balsam poplar" and the first thing up was a 1911 Encyclopædia Brittanica article - probably last time someone thought to ask about the matter. No info there. The words "Oklahoma" and "balsam poplar" just happened to appear on the same page.

My psychic resources (ha) tell me that poplar is the key word and that the balsam relates to the "balm," a healing substance we will find when we also find the Jamisons - and I hope not their bones, buried under a poplar tree.

Must be the winds sweeping down the plains that spread all those weed seeds around.

Back to try and post this map with DEA sites. Perhaps it will not fight me this time. :waitasec:

Thanks, again, Oriah.

I tried NCIC, but no lists of unidentified persons. I think you have to be LE in order to access their databases. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place on their website.

Oops, yeah. Sorry- you do have to be LE or have a password. You can try checking the individual ME office and it should pull up their UID's with some identifying characteristics.

Not far off topic......

I did try the medical examiner's website. Nothing! I even tried OKC PD. They are suppose to be helping the ME.

The reason I brought up the subject of unidentified bodies, is this article I found; http://www.news9.com/global/story.asp?s=13022938

I know it's pretty far fetched to think they are the Jamisons. But, one never knows! They could have been in a meat freezer somewhere.

I'll look into it. I think these people were ID'd, but let try to find the source.

Identified. I think. Bad reporting initially? There are a lot of dead people in OK in pickups. :(

Example #1

Well fed dog is left in room which a subway 5 dollar foot long in the bag and wrapped in the double paper. 10 minutes paper was in two different locations and the bag was neatly on the floor.

Example #2 Halloween candy was left in a room on a bed with a dog locked in the room . Halloween candy is small pieces each in it own wrapper. Time span 6 hours. Most of the candy had been chewed open and candy wrapper were everywhere.

I asked my friend bill what he thought about the case and the dog and the chips.

His conclusion was that the dog has eaten the Jamisons and was not hungrey for the chips and why no one can find the Jamisons. Yes I have made a mental note not to ask Bill any more questions.

Well, both to anthropomorphize and to mix animal metaphors, I did think Mazy had a sort of "cat that swallowed the canary" look on her face in that video.

Just clarifying:

in Example #1- sandwich itself was gone, correct? leaving behind torn wrappers spread in two separate locations, and plastic bag in one piece like dog(s) didn't even look at it? (Note- please check plastic bag for dog saliva, and please take a sample for analysis.)

Example #2: take experimental dog to vet, because they really should not eat that much sugar- they will keep you up all night, needing to poop. Wait! No worries. They will eat their own poop, so it will leave nothing behind.

Finally- I think your friend Bill is correct. The dog ate not only the Oklahoma chips- but the keys, a whole bunch of other evidence, and the Jamison's as well.
*sighing heavily again*

This story really frosts me! Let me see if I've got the facts correct here...they make the deceased family pay $100 per year to keep the body in storage for possible future evidence in case they ever get around to investigating this death? (Or in case some evidence falls into their laps.) This makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? Am I totally missing the point of all this or isn't this being handled backwards. It almost sounds like extortion in a round-about and sick way....pay us $100 every year or we'll destroy your daughter's body? This family's only hope for justice is to continually pay to preserve their daughter's body until maybe LE will eventually get around to looking into this case. Why not take and preserve the necessary samples and then allow the body to be buried?

I am also at a total loss as to why they aren't publicizing info on all of these other unidentified remains. This is so wrong. Why perpetuate unnecessary suffering when there are families out there going through such grief and heartache?

I won't bother to rant against Oklahoma LE any further - I've done enough of that on the Joe Neff thread in this past year.

Soulmagent:
Did your expiremental (sic) dog get the runs from Halloween candy?
The PETA/DEA in me is concerned.
Thanks.
