But back on topic, I so get the feeling this guy was a serial killer in the making, and they thus wasted no more time than necessary in getting him arrested, and yet as of thus far today, no charges yet. 2 hours to get that done.

I'm surprised nobody saw them going in cos he lives in the basement of a business (hair salon) vs a rural area..It was still light out if we go by the time of the calls that may have come from there..Maybe there's a back driveway & entrance which would limit the risk of being seen?..Hair salons are typically noisy so there's a good chance nobody heard anything.

Snipp-ed, and BBM

If you look at the aerial on 404 S Chelan, you can see some parking behind the house. Where that is in relation to the basement entrance, not sure, but typically in a house from that era, it would be at the back. But remove a body that way in broad daylight? Don't think so.

I am very familiar with the salon, I have been there numerous times (and probably won't go back ever again). There are two entrances into the salon, one in the front, which is right on one of the busiest streets in Wenatchee. You can also pull behind the house and there is a small parking lot (maybe 6 parking spots) and a back door you can walk in through. I do not recall seeing an entrance to the basement back there, but then again, I never particularly looked for one.

If the only entrance is in the salon, I HIGHLY doubt he could get Mackenzie in the salon without anyone seeing them.

The salon is usually fairly busy, not as loud and as busy as you'd expect a salon to be. They play music, not loudly, and of course there are the occasional hair dyers running. My intuition is that the murder did not occur at the salon... I don't think it is consistently busy/loud enough for Wilson to feel (... if he feels anything at all....) comfortable murdering someone downstairs within earshot of the salon. If Mackenzie was able to fight back at all, a few hits on the wall or a scream could have very well been plenty to get others to hear her.

But if she wasn't killed at the salon, I'm not sure where it could have been done. My only thought is that the murder occurred, he "stashed" or hid her body somewhere for a few hours while he dumped her car, recovered the body somehow, and carried it downstairs to his basement where he proceeded to do whatever with it. The blood on the wall could just be from an attempt to dismember or whatever he did after she was dead. :sick: Disgusting.
 
How long has he been living under the Salon? I thought that they said 6 months and that would mean he moved in April or May?

In the following WW article is it stated that he lived in the apartment for less than 6 months...

Very interesting. Thanks for posting a first hand account of the salon premises. Some things you can't picture unless you have actually been there in person. That is what I was thinking at first. How in the heck could this guy get her into the salon basement apartment at 3:30 in the afternoon without someone seeing her or her car parked outside. A place of business would be the last place you would think somebody would commit a murder.
 
I'm not sure how long he has lived down there... his mom has owned the place since at least 2006/2007 I know, so I guess he could have potentially lived in and out of there for several years.

Found this picture on his band's myspace page... creeped me out... its Wilson's shadow and the picture is titled "-Christopher-_[The Basement-5-16-09]" Looks like maybe it could be the basement of Salon Couture where he lived.

I also question his account that he cut up bodies at a funeral home. I would think that he would not be in a position where he was alone with a body for very long. If he did do what he said he did, would not a funeral director notice?

A close friend of mine dated Chris briefly years ago and still talks to mutual friends... she stated that he has lived on and off in the basement apartment for years; Since his mother purchased the building and opened the salon. I have also spoken to two clients of the salon that stated he was there helping on occasion with cleaning and the front desk when they were short handed.

A car Wilson was driving during the February, 2010, time frame has also been found. The 1999 Black Volkswagen Jetta was sold in April of 2010 but located today in Spokane where it was impounded by local authorities from the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. The vehicle will be processed for evidence by task force personnel and Washington State Crime Lab technicians.

This creeped me out even more...it's titled "as if they're the only ones"..It looks like basement stairs that lead to a door..but where? I don't think it's at the Salon but I could be wrong.

Sorry if this has already been resolved. I was pretty sure I had heard different and it took awhile to find the spot in the video to confirm what I thought I heard.

Don't think so either..I thought maybe Mack went to his place willingly (LE said she was heading in that direction) & since he left right after her it's possible it was planned..That would've been in broad daylight not the removal of the body BUT! now we hear there may only be access to the basement directly from the Salon..If that's true I will have to rule out this scenario (since nobody in Salon saw them) & change it to IF she was ever there it had to be later after the Salon closed.

To clarify -- I was live posting "high point" comments from LE as the press conference was ongoing. Verizon tech told them 90% chance was boat launch area. After identifying the 404 S Chelan location, they determined that all but one anomalous call fit for distance from towers, therefore calls and texts could have been made from that house/salon.

I agree that original report that "stuck" that location in that very small area sounded wrong. I hear on scanners frequently when LE puts in request for pings when trying to locate a missing person, and have never heard phone company narrow down under 200 yards in a particular direction from a specific tower. And the closer distances are in town where cell towers are closer together. So to state emphatically it WAS the boat launch and not across the street from or a block away seemed like way too good at triangulating off a ping. MOO

Have seen other pictures of "The Basement" sign indicating where bands played, so I don't think it has any connection to that house.

I check the Chelan Sheriff's log report every day. Only thing is it is always off one day--If I look today, I see the one for yesterday.http://www.golakechelan.com/click on the yellow bar for latest EMS LE reports Tomorrow's will be for today. You can search older dates, many of them.Just saw the link is down. Probably the pc today overloaded it... funny, I used it an hour ago.
