Conrad Murray trial -Day nineteen.

So what did you all think of this doctor? I really believe he attempted to tailor his testimony and everything he said should just be thrown out. What a quack.

See you all after lunch break.

I guess he could back off a bit -- but the witness is really being obstinate too.

Agreed. Two bull dogs not wanting to give an inch. The MD seems not to be experienced in this type of court testimony -- or it could be that the DT told him that Wally was a real ______ (whatever you choose) and for him not to give him an inch. If so, no telling what the MD expected to see. Who knoze?

Seems a bit of tension is sticking to the walls here during this testimony. Wonder what we'll get with White? The room temp is already up a couple of notches....

Thank you everyone for the summaries with this testimony. It's been one of those up and down, in and out days at work. I haven't been able to sit and listen to this testimony. So thank you again.

I'm thinking about going out & commiting a crime just so I can hire Walgren, et al.

Oh yeah. He's not a defense atty.

Well then. I wonder if I could hire him for something else.

Seriously hope they go over Dr. White's upcoming testimony during lunch. He must wonder why he ever agreed to help this train wreck in the first place.

Good point, Credence. Who dropped the ball here? The DT or the MD. IMWTK.

I choose both. Defense didn't get a report and they obviously communicated by other means. Wasn't that nice that he explained that the secretary was given the wrong information?

Also, any nitwit knows that you don't mix values on a chart. It was purpously made that way to exaggerate the amound of midazolam as being half that of the demoral.

Elementary statistics and analysis. Every doctor has to know how to read and chart such graphs.

Also, I missed part of the cross. Was Walden ever given the actual Klein records or a summary of them?

I agree. He flubbed as an expert witness for the defense.
Watch for CM's bald patches to be much larger tomorrow.
And for Chernoff & Flanagan's brow lines to be deeper!!!

I could think of reasons I would like to hire him, but as an attorney wouldn't be one of them. :floorlaugh:

OFGS JVM thinks this addiction specialist blew the whole case wide open. UGH

I swear I am going to email her about my popsickle habit. (purely medicinal I use them for hot flashes)

How can he "assume" those are not complete records? MJ just did not go everyday ???

If he was so addicted no way could he go days without getting a "fix" or even more than 4-5 hours?

I think the doc was speaking as a doc of addicts in that they usually have several ports in the storm for when they need to get their fixes. He raises a good point -- Wally might have asked the doc if he might be referring to CM... ???

Another TH on HLN said it was a good day for the defense...
that the addiction specialist did a good job for them & that
they have reason to celebrate.

HUH????

The problem with that theory is that there were no opiates in MJ autopsy report and there were no opiate prescriptions found in his house. There were no opiate IV medications on the drug list of what Dr. Murray ordered. There were no opiate prescriptions in Dr. Metzger's records. The only place MJ was getting any opiates were the demerol injections at Dr. Kleins office.

This witness just assumed he must have been getting them elsewhere otherwise his opinion that MJ was able to sustain the days in between Dr. Klein visits just didn't add up to a dependency or addiction and that is what he was paid to say about MJ - dependent or addicted to demerol and having withdrawals.

Hogwash IMO

Did they watch the same thing we all did? I agree that MJ got the drugs he wanted from the doctors that were willing, but that has nothing to do with his death. CM was and always will be the one responsible on that fateful morning. IMO

Lorazapam and all other benzos, along with all other controlled meds... are required to be constantly kept in a separate "narcotics cabinet",
which takes 2 separate keys to unlock. And every one of these meds, pill by pill are counted twice a shift, at the beginning & ending of each
shift and must be done by 2 nurses, the oncoming nurse & off-going nurse.

Every pill must be accounted for or the off-going nurse doesn't go home, until the missing pill is located!!!

Thanks, peace. In your experience, do outside regulators ever come in and conduct an audit of the premises and the records?

Um, I think CM was not familiar with that regulation. I wonder how he secured them at his GF's place?? Ugly, ugly picture.

He didn't even have them delivered securely to her apt. Sheesh, talk about a quack for hire.

Dr Klein is going to be a guest on JVM later today.

Jean Casaras, who was in the courtroom, just said that the jurors were carefully paying attention and taking notes while Dr W was on the stand.

When Walgren showed the graphs and pointed out the descrepencies in the charts & graphs etc, the jurors sat back and stopped writing.

I think Dr Klein is a red herring in this whole thing. JVM just said how she has had botox and she never needed demerol. But look at MJ's face. His nose looked like it was about to fall off. He had so much invasive plastic surgery and facial reconstruction that one cannot compare themselves with him. imoo
