Sister Curses at Suspect

The sister of a slain Las Vegas dancer stood in a courtroom Wednesday and cursed the man accused of strangling her only sibling and covering the naked, dismembered body in concrete.

"I hope you (expletive) rot in jail, you (expletive) for what you did to her," Celeste Flores Narvaez screamed at defendant Jason Griffith after his arraignment on murder, battery domestic violence and destroying evidence charges.

Griffith, 32, did not enter a plea or respond to the outburst.

During the hearing, Griffith spoke only briefly to acknowledge he had reviewed the criminal complaint against him.

From the arrest report:

(1) Did LE promise Louis he would not be arrested or prosecuted if he told LE what happened? Can he be charged with something else? He cannot be let out of any cupability!

(2) Interesting that Louis said he had nothing to do with the planning of Deborah's murder--sounds like it was indeed planned then, but by Griffith.

(3) Is Louis saying his daughter was at the home when Griffith choked Deborah? I so hope I'm reading that wrong. Please let me be reading that wrong.

It appears that the child was there during the altercation.

Then the roommate "pulled him off of her" and "made sure everything was okay."

Then the roommate left to take the child back and pick up his girlfriend.

Then Blu told the roommate not to bring his girlfriend back.

Then the roommate went back and found that she had been killed.

So it appears the child was there for the FIRST choking incident, not the choking that resulted in her death.

Animals wouldn't behave in this manner!! I can't comprehend either how several people can be involved in one way or another, and no one has enough of a conscious to report it to LE. :banghead: MOO

It is interesting you would mention animals, because I was just comparing animals to the crimes we see here.

I have a female Beagle, who is 15lbs... an anomaly. She's tiny, she is fast and can easily keep up with cats.

We have several stray cats, who have never been inside our house. My Beagle will corner them and chase them away... (one of them killed our cat) but she will not hurt them.

A few nights ago we came home and when we walked in the Beagle made a very strange, almost sad howling noise. We were confused. I was in visibly horrendous pain from just separating my shoulder 2 hours earlier, so my brother thought that was what it was. :innocent:

An hour later she was outside barking insistently at something underneath the stairs. She couldn't quite reach the spot, her rope keeps her from reaching the stairs. She is a hound, my Dad ignored the barking and brought her inside.

The next morning she went straight to that window and did the sad howl again. I looked out to find one of the stray cats obviously dead under the stairs. It had been there since the previous night...

My Beagle was caring, concerned and compassionate about a stray cat who does nothing but annoy her and stress her out.

My Beagle tried very hard to alert us to the cat's injured or already deceased presence there.

It hit me when I went out to attempt to move the apparently uninjured cat... that dogs and cats are supposed to be enemies.

I realized that my "hunting dog" who is supposed to kill other creatures... has more compassion and caring for them... than some humans do for the fellow creatures they are supposed to love and protect. :(

Then I cried... partly because of the pain and partly for Debbie's family and Jonathan's family and Hailey's family.... and all the others.

I just simply will never comprehend it. :maddening:

The sister of slain dancer Debora Flores Narvaez let loose a profanity-laced tirade at the alleged killer following a brief appearance in North Las Vegas justice court Wednesday.

"I hope you (expletive) rot in hell," Celeste Flores Narvaez yelled to Jason "Blu" Griffith as he was escorted from Justice of the Peace Chris Lee's courtroom. Griffith appeared dressed in prison scrubs with his arms and legs chained.

This poor woman.

oh god I feel so bad for her
I hope she can someday find some semblance of peace in her life but it won't be anytime soon since her & the rest of her family will probably have to suffer through one or more trials
maybe he'll plead guilty and spare them but I doubt it

According to the article in lvrj.com:

Griffith, Debora Flores Narvaez' former boyfriend and performer at the Mirage Cirque du Soleil show "Love," was charged with murder, felony battery constituting domestic violence (strangulation) and destroying evidence, a gross misdemeanor.

I don't understand the charges. Why do they include the felony battery? I don't recall seeing that in other cases. I mean he murdered her. Also it doesn't say what degree of murder they are charging him with. And seeing what he did to her body why isn't there some additional charge for that?? I really think too, that this woman whose condo he wanted to store the remains at should be charged with something. I guess LC won't be charged as he cut a deal for immunity, but he should be.

I watched NG last night and some good coverage on this case. She was all over the guy
LC who assisted Blu.She was saying he should be charged whether he helped LE or not.
I agree, this guy went along and helped him with the body.He is just as guilty! So sick and
disgusting.Celeste said she is standing on her own to take care of everything so her family
could grieve. My heart breaks for her and her family

Sister of slain dancer removed from courtroom after outburst
A North Las Vegas courtroom erupted in an outburst of emotion Wednesday morning as the sister of a slain Las Vegas dancer shouted obscenities at her sister's ex-boyfriend during his arraignment on murder charges.
"You (expletive) rotten Jason! (Expletive)! For what you did to her!" Celeste Flores Narvaez screamed at Jason Griffith at the end of the court proceeding.

Dancer's sister yells at suspected killer in court
A shackled Jason “Blu” Griffith appeared in court Wednesday wearing a blue jumpsuit during his arraignment after being charged with killing Las Vegas showgirl Debbie Flores-Narvaez. The dancer’s sister was present at the hearing and yelled at Griffith from her seat.

While her courtroom outburst was spontaneous, Celeste now says it was wrong.

“I would never want to disrespect the judge and if I could get his number, I would personally call him and tell him I’m sorry. It’s not my character to be disrespectful about the law or anything like that.”

A memorial service for Debbie is planned for Thursday night from 6 to 9 at St. Viators Catholic Church. A second service will be held Friday at the Luxor showroom, one of the many places the local dancer shined.

“… [she was] a very passionate person,” Celeste said of Debbie. “Passionate in every way: passionate for life, for dance, for helping people.”

Police say there was a history of domestic violence between Debbie and Griffith, something her family didn’t know until she was already gone. Now, Celeste has this message for other women who may be suffering in silence:

“There is a way out. There is always a way out. It doesn’t have to be like this.”

The family is taking Debbie’s body back to Puerto Rico for burial. They set up an account to help pay for the expenses. Any money left over will be donated to Shade Tree, a local shelter for battered women.

He won't plead gulity....and it's going to get really ugly and nasty, imo. They are going to tear into Deb's past with every minute detail they can find. I knew this was going to happen and have been holding my comments, but again...it's Vegas. I feel so bad for Celeste because this nightmare will continue for her and her family through out this case.

It won't save him from punishment in killing her, but indeed the DP...

Please don't throw fruit at me...........I just expressed what's been on my mind since they found her.

From Fairy's link....his defense states:

Afterwards, deputy public defender Jeff Banks said the emotional outburst by the victim's sister would not affect Griffith's defense.

Banks said relationships are "a two-way street" and "our defense of him (Griffith) is going to be aggressive, vigorous and thorough."

Banks said he will be reviewing the couple's volatile history together, including at least three known incidents where authorities responded to calls of domestic violence between the couple.
Two of the incidents did not result in an arrest, Las Vegas police said.

They'll bring up the other RO's against her and the whole schmear of all the stories.

Actually, cats and primates are two that come to mind that are ruthless when stalking and killing prey. They "play" (torture) before they finally kill them, if they don't perish from the playing.

I don't really understand them either and wonder about the charges for mutilation of a corpse. LC was given leniency....so I think some charges will be made and they have to make sure he wasn't more involved than he stated.

If the condo friend lied to LE, then I could see obstruction charges. But, it's not against the law to not say anything to anybody about what you know or saw..even a murder...only when you are asked...and lie.

Deborah was attracted to a bad boy, they are the one's that see you coming from a mile away and tell you everything you always wanted

to hear. They are usually energetic and fun. They want you to give everything to them, money, gifts, rides, bail money. Then one day you need

something from them and they don't come around. The taker is absent. He has jumped ship and then you become enraged "How could he do

this to me" I gave him all I had. Then he slowly comes back and even nicer this time to start the cycle all over again.

But remember he gives just enough to keep you coming back for more...except you don't see it coming because by then your blindsided.

How very, very sad but true. "Everything you always wanted to hear." They are masterminds at sensing vulnerability. They perceive niceness as weakness.

It seems LC should be charged with accessory after the fact.

As to the condo owner yeah you're probably right she wasn't asked, so she didn't lie to LE. But ethically it just seems so WRONG to me. Here is Debbie's sister looking so hard for her during the holidays and this woman knows she is dead and tells no one????

I feel so horrible for her

Family of murdered dancer sets up memorial fund for domestic violence victims:

Celeste has set up a fund to take donations in Debbie's name. Anything left over from funeral expenses will go to The Shade Tree's Survivor Services Center.

"That's there memorial tribute to her, to help others," Marlene says.

I feel so bad for Celeste and Debbie's parents. But the fact that Celeste wants to help other domestic violence victims now at such a terrible time in her own life makes me think she will try to make something positive out of her sister's senseless and horrific murder. I can definitely see her becoming an advocate or DV victims in the future. I hope she does!

Anita Mann: Debora Flores Narvaez was part of ‘Fantasy’ family:

The last rehearsal was Dec. 12, the last time anyone in the “Fantasy” cast saw Narvaez alive. When she didn’t arrive as scheduled the next night for the debut of the show featuring Sisqo, the immediate word was that something had gone terribly wrong. There was no sensible reason for her to be anywhere but the Luxor on that Monday evening.

I hope she does also. It is heartbreaking to see the grief on the faces of Debbie's sister and family. MOO

Expert Sees Pattern in Domestic Violence Victims:

Though it may seem like common sense to walk out of an abusive relationship, victims feel like they are in control. Richter says victims will often take abuse several times before deciding enough is enough.

"The sad average is seven times, and often it is something from the outside that helps them understand what the danger is," she said.

everyone in earlier posts kept saying they hope the body was found but,it clearly stated in the news reports her body was found in cement tubs....

Slain Vegas dancer remembered by family, friends

"She didn't know this, but I envied her in so many ways," Celeste Flores Narvaez told more than 80 friends and family members who gathered to remember her sister, Debora, at a Mass at St. Viator Catholic Church. "She danced, traveled, was single, living the life."

http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/article/Slain-Vegas-dancer-remembered-by-family-friends-952479.php

So their going to let this person who dismembered a body walk around like he did nothing!!! Unbelievable..........Who is this guy and why??

Police learned the details of the alleged murder from Louis Colombo, Griffith's roommate, who told investigators he helped Griffith dismember the body and hide it.
Clark County District Attorney David Rogers said Colombo will likely not face charges.
"Not only did he help us recover the body, he also told us the circumstances of the killing," Rogers said. "There are lot of times that we have to negotiate with sinners to get to the devil."
