BREAKING NEWS: Manhunt launched as detectives probe quadruple murder at Northampton home
A QUADRUPLE murder investigation has been launched after the bodies of four people were found in a family home in Northampton.

Police were called to Pioneer Close in Simpson Manor, near Wootton, at about 6pm last night.

The bodies of Jifeng Ding, aged 46, and 47-year-old Helen Chui were found downstairs in the property. Their children, Xing Ding, aged 18 and 11-year-old Alice, were found dead upstairs. All four are believed to be of Chinese origin.

A murder hunt has now been launched with police searching for the attackers. All four victims are understood to have suffered multiple knife wounds.

Mr Ding, known as Jeff, was a senior lecturer in the Division of Chemical and Environmental Science at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Mrs Ding is understood to have been a teacher at a school in Northampton.

The area surrounding the property remained sealed off today as forensics teams continue to carry out a fingertip search of the road.

Officers said they did not believe the family, who have no known relatives in the UK, were the victims of a random attacker and it is understood the inquiry will look at whether Mr Ding had any links with a Chinese Triad gang.

Officers admitted yesterday that Mr Ding’s life in Manchester and an examination of who he may have come into contact with there would form a ‘major part’ of their investigation.

Triad gangs operating in the city and elsewhere have been known to specialise in a wide range of criminal activity including drugs and protection rackets.

I can't recall very many incidents where a family of four, unrelated to the killer, have been murdered, followed by the suicide of the perpetrator. So I'm sort of guessing Mr Du didn't follow through on the self slaughter part.
He is understood to have been a business associate of Ms Chui dealing in herbal remedies.

Also interesting. I had assumed that Mr Du might have sought revenge on the father, and didn't even think Ms Chui might have been the link.
 
I bet he is still alive and hiding out. They only have his note and not his body. He is a child killing coward, most likely still alive is my guess.

Here's an article that I don't see linked here. It's regarding discovery and recovery of the car.

The point is with this article, it's a sign to LE that the suspect is indeed alive. If you read one of the previous articles about the 'note' the suspect left. It was to his family whereby he said 'goodbye.' There was no 'final,' mentioned or 'suicide.' He apparently wanted it to 'appear' as a suicide, or just wanted to say 'goodbye,' and it was either the media or LE that initially thought of it as a 'suicide' note.

Sad case. Hope they catch the guy. This is another verification that, 'money is the root of all evil.' It really isn't worth it. It definitely was evil here and absolutely not worth the end result! :(

But the development has prompted fresh hope that detectives will now be able to trace Du, who was this week listed as the most wanted man in Britain as a result of the horrific quadruple murder.

Du, of Witnell Road, Daimler Green, was named a suspect by detectives investigating the murders of university lecturer Jifeng Ding, his wife Helen and their two young daughters Xing and Alice.

It is alleged Du, who runs a Chinese herbal remedy shop in Birmingham, killed the family at their home in Northampton on April 29.

A MISSING murder suspect fought a seven-year legal battle with the couple he is suspected of butchering along with their two young daughters, a court heard.

It emerged Mr Du and his family were served with an injunction freezing their assets the day before Mr Ding, Mrs Chui and their daughters Xing, 18, and Alice, 12, were found dead at their home near Northampton on April 29.

Ahhh...............bet the murder victims had a great deal of cash hidden in the home.

My bet is he already had a fake id and either flew out of the country under an assumed name, or traveled to another country and fled from there. This was cold and calculated and this man had 'plans' already in place.

He's anywhere in the globe, but my best guess he's most likely in China.

A man who murdered a family of four in a revenge attack has been jailed for life with a minimum of 40 years.

Anxiang Du stabbed Jifeng "Jeff" Ding, his wife Ge "Helen" Chui, and their daughters Xing and Alice to death at their Northampton home in April 2011.

He had lost a legal case against the couple and faced a bill of £88,000, Northampton Crown Court heard.
