NY - Jude Mirra, 8, autistic, poisoned in Manhattan hotel room, 5 Feb 2010 *guilty, found dead suicide 2023*

It seems this lady had been dillusional for some time now. She feared a custody battle from an upcoming divorce. She wasn't married. The farther of sweet Jude had not seen mother or child since 2007. The mob figured in as well as the previously mentioned sexual abuse.

When Jordan had called Flint Waters in Wyoming with her fears about the abuse on her son he told her to call her local authorities. Instead Jordan took her son to Wyoming. There it became apparent all was not right with Jordan and for her own safety and Jude's they detained her.

If only they had not let her go. She needed help.

Thanks so much to the mods for merging these. I only started the thread as it was breaking news. At the time, there was very little info. This is terribly strange. I don't know what to believe. However, I am bothered by this comment of Mr. Tzekov's:

"Tantra believes in the inherent goodness of everything. Everything is holy, nothing is unholy and nothing is evil. For tantra there is no devil, only devine" (sp).

Mr. Tzekov, that's not exactly what I've learned about tantra. And I can most assuredly state that you are incorrect in that "nothing is evil". We can debate the presence of the devil until the cows come home, but there is certainly evil. Everyone of us here on WS, can take an oath testifying to that FACT.

I'm very hopeful that this woman's claims concerning child abuse and *advertiser censored* will not be set aside if she is found to be delusional. She could be right about this which could have caused her to become mentally ill. I just want a full investigation.

And rest, little Jude.

So, why is it that so many of Mr. Tzekov's "friends" on MS look like *advertiser censored* queens or strippers? I know several of our local Craigslist escort services offer Tantric services. Did this man simply "instruct" this mom in Santa Barbara (known as a wealthy playground and well stocked with Tantric providers) and somehow convince her to marry him. I would imagine she agreed to a settlement or a monthly "stipend" for Mr. Tzekov.

This sounds heartless as Mr. Tzekov just lost his son. I'm just not seeing a typical grieving father's response here. Am I off base?

I wonder if sometimes people think "crazy lady" & dismiss it as that...not realizing the *real* danger to a child who's w/ a delusional mom....especially if she's never mentioned harming the child.

So sad for little Jude. :(

Iz, first he's quoted as not having seen his son or ex in a year and now it's since 2007.

Did you see where it said he tried to find him? Of course we don't know the guy, BUT how hard would it be to find this woman? She lived in New York City. Had he no contact with her relatives to find her?

As for the strippers I'm thinking pole dancing you need alot of balance. I'm being serious. Physical and mental. It's ne easy feat. Not that I've ever done it, but know a few girls that did. Friends of my friends daughter. Girls in their early 20's. They said it's tough.

Meanwhile this poor, beautiful child is dead. Beautiful, beautiful boy.

Absolutely, TM. It looks like they did exactly that in Wyoming. I wonder if they could have 302'd her?

Heck, how many times do Doctor's, lawyers, police officers think "crazy lady" and just leave it at that? Is that not where the word hysterectomy is derived from? Hysteria? We're women. We're hysterical.

O.K. now I'm just being crazy. I know. Sorry for the spelling error in the last post. I didn't even know how to spell delusional. Still dont.:waitasec:

Filly, ITA. I know Santa Barbara, though. My daughter lived there for four years. It's a gorgeous place (truly paradise on earth) but some (note, I said some) of the people can be highly self-absorbed and narcissistic.

I know we're stereo-typing, but for heaven's sake, the guy's MS page certainly is no shrine to his little guy. You are so right, how hard could this lady be to find? My guess is that all he'd need to do is look at the return address on the checks he gets from her.

Mom Eyes Psychiatric Defense in Son's Slaying in a New York Luxury Hotel

Posted: Tuesday, 16 February 2010 4:12PM

NEW YORK (AP) -- A woman accused of drugging her 8-year-old son to death in a botched murder-suicide attempt in a luxury hotel pleaded not guilty to a murder count Tuesday, and her lawyer said she plans to pursue a psychiatric defense.

Gigi Jordan showed no emotion as she entered the plea via video link from a hospital where she has been treated since her Feb. 5 arrest. She sat impassively, at times quietly working her thumbs over her hands.

I'm sorry, I just find it suspicious that this "mother" gave her 8-year old son probably more than enough pills to kill him and make him foam at the mouth (what a horrible, sad image) but failed to give herself enough to commit suicide. This seems to me to be the way it often works. And now she is using a psychiatric defense. Sound to me like she was quite experienced with pharmaceuticals, and knew how many to give her son to kill him, as well as how many to take herself to become 'incapacitated' in order to wage a psychiatric defense, yet not actually die. 'Mental illness' or not, I have no sympathy for this woman.

I DO have sympathy for this woman. According to what we've read this child was her main focus for all his life. It's obvious to me something happened that made her feel he would be better off out of this life. I'm sorry she got to the point where she couldn't find a better way to deal with whatever problems existed, even if only in her own mind.

You're absolutely right, she was a pharmaceutical sales exec.

Friend: NY mom had obsessed over dead son's autism

"Gigi Jordan quit a high-powered job as a pharmaceutical company executive and abandoned her social life to devote all her time to her severely autistic son.

For most of his tortured life, Jude Michael Mirra repeatedly banged his head on the floor, screaming and unable to speak, writhing in pain. His mother, trained as a nurse, went to exhaustive lengths to help the 8-year-old, desperate for a cure.
But nothing worked. Her only child is dead now — by her own hands, according to police.

After years of struggling — with his autism and her inability to help him — Gigi Jordan gave up. To those who knew her, she was a loving, overprotective single mother who snapped under incredible strain. To prosecutors, she was a killer...."

Do autistic children really do this? Bang their heads and writher in pain for years? I know that they will bang their heads, but for years? And pain affects each of us, regardless, but is it realistic to believe this child was in pain for all of his 8 years? I have no experience with autism so I'm not sure what to believe here?

I don't think all do. My nephew is severly autistic and while he does self harming things he doesn't seem to respond to pain. He is very dangerous to himself because he doesn't act like he feels anything.

I would have to agree. I've worked with may kids with autism and have three adopted kids on the spectrum and a biological granddaughter with high functioning autism and bipolar (I'll guess we' have to see if that diagnosis stands) and I've never seen screaming in constant pain. I've seen perseveration, odd behaviors, self-stimulation and total lack of understanding of natural or logical consequences. I've also seen social training go far in helping children with ever moderate challenges.

I've certainly dealt with hours long rages but pain is typically expressed as a higher theshold than usual. In other words, the child will seemingly get comfort or stimulation from something that you and I would find painful.

I almost wonder if this child didn't suffer from some sort of pain receptor disorder (such as severe fibromyalgia) as well as autism. Being that heavy duty narcotics are not typically given to children, he might have been under-medicated and that could cause the brain to "read" constant pain.

Have there been other witness reports that this child screamed in retractable pain? A child suffering from a disorder this severe, would need to be hospitalized with round the clock care. This mother could have well afforded that. She could have maintained her role as the mother but left others to deal with the medical issues. That's the heartbreak.

New York City Prosecutor: Mom Accused of Murder Had Disorder

NEW YORK (AP) -- A prosecutor suggested Friday that a mother accused of killing her autistic 8-year-old son in an apparent murder-suicide attempt had a mental problem that spurs people to seek attention by inventing illnesses for their loved ones.

The mother, Gigi Jordan, told authorities that besides autism, which doctors said was severe, her son had been the victim of abuse. She repeated that claim, and suggested he had symptoms possibly linked to other medical conditions, in an apparent suicide note her lawyer made public last week.

Jordan's lawyer disputed the claim by the prosecutor, who said sealed psychiatric records on Jordan showed a diagnosis of Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Sufferers seek unneeded medical care for people in their care.

"I want to dispel the court of the notion that (Jordan's) entire life has been devoted to taking care of this child,'' Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Kerry O'Connell said as Jordan appeared before a judge in her murder case. "Professionals have diagnosed her with Munchausen syndrome by proxy.''

TM, I don't know what or if anything is done by any healthcare professional. However, that's supposedly why they studied Marie Noe the woman that murdered all her little ones.

It's worth looking into. Maybe Miss Izzy knows. I'm a little confused though. So, this young boy didn't actually have autism? Or he did and the mother made up even more conditions?

Either way the woman is not right in the head I don't think. Poor kid.

From what I'm gathering, he had Autism, but mom made up more stuff. Maybe she liked the attention she got from having an Autistic child, and made up more stuff from there. I don't know.
