I am starting a thread for a man whom I knew from my hometown. He went to high school with my older brother and was a next-door neighbor of my other brother in the mid-1980's.

There is currently a $5,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts.

A Three Points man with ties to the Lebec and Frazier Park area has been reported missing. The family is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts. Dennis Dobrovolny, 54 was last seen by friends at a February 6 [2011] Super Bowl Sunday party in Three Points (on Highway 138, at the southern boundary of Tejon Ranch near Neenach, where Centennial is planned).

Dobrovolny is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

This is the property where Dennis Dobrovolny was last seen early on the morning after Super Bowl Sunday. If is a half mile up the the road from his caretaker quarters in an almond orchard, [Meyer photo/ The Mountain Enterprise]

[Dennis' son] Jeff Dobrovolny says at 2 a.m. on the morning of February 7 his father left the gathering at Three Points and Pine Canyon Road (at a place closed now, but formerly known as ‘The Bar’).

“He had watched the Super Bowl with Nelly, the owner, her husband George and his friends Angie and Dale,” Jeff said he was told, “then we believe he drove a half-mile home.”

Dobrovolny was in a gold, 1990s-era Chevy Cavalier fourdoor sedan. That car and all his other vehicles were at his residence when the owners of the property reported him missing after not seeing him for two weeks. They said the sedan had not been moved during those two weeks.

Male human remains have been located off Hwy 138, following a brush fire. Thought to be (very approx) about four years old. It appears some dentals (mandible) have been found, with fillings, a skull and possibly a shoe.

Location is around five miles from where Dennis disappeared.

Thanks, Zwiebel. I knew Dennis Dobervolny, so I am very interested in this.

Fox News in LA posted a video on Facebook four years ago reporting the disappearance, and someone commented saying, "He placed a huge bet on the game, won, and disappeared!"

Can this in any way be substantiated? If so, then we might have a motive. The person(s) who lost the "huge bet" could've followed Dennis home (explaining why his car was found at the residence) in an attempt to get the money back, etc.

BBM

Do we have only their word that his Sedan had been there for the two weeks in between when he was last seen and when he was reported missing? Since it sounds like he had multiple vehicles, could the owners simply have been mistaken because they miscounted? If so, then he could've gone missing at any time during those two weeks.
